Carnegie medal for arts benefactor Carol Colburn Grigor
The American former concert pianist is the daughter of wealthy inventor Richard D. Colburn, with the family having an estimated net worth of $1.2bn.
Ms Colburn Grigor and the fund have provided millions of pounds worth of grants to charities in the arts and heritage sectors, including the Edinburgh International Festival, National Galleries of Scotland, Scottish Chamber Orchestra, National Library of Scotland and Britain's major opera companies.

A purpose-built concert hall, the Dunard Centre, is set to be built on St Andrew Square and will be the first in Edinburgh for more than 100 years.
The National Centre for Music, which will be in the former Royal High School building on Calton Hill has also received support from Ms Colburn Grigor.
Both projects are designed to be open and accessible to the wider community, supporting partnerships with Edinburgh schools, and encouraging local people to experience new genres and artforms on their doorstep.
Jo Buckley, chief executive of the Dunard Centre, said: 'I am delighted to see Carol's transformative philanthropy being celebrated on the global stage, and it is especially fitting that this year's ceremony is taking place in Edinburgh, which was Carol's home for many years. It is no exaggeration to say that her longstanding support has helped to make Edinburgh the cultural capital that it is today, with its future assured by her powerful investment in two landmark capital projects, the Dunard Centre and the National Centre for Music.
'Cultural transformation relies on the dogged persistence and determination of visionary individuals, as Andrew Carnegie's legacy has shown us over the past century. As we look to create Edinburgh's first new concert hall in over a century, it is tantalising to think ahead to the exceptional performers it will attract, and the profound economic, social, educational and cultural impact that Carol's philanthropy will have on Scotland for generations to come."

'The National Centre for Music will celebrate and support all genres of music making and will be a place where Scottish musical history is made. Offering new resource and partnership opportunities to Scotland's music sector, it will ensure Scotland continues to be a leader in music and culture across the globe.

Gino D'Acampo has confirmed his plans to return to TV after months of controversy following 'inappropriate behaviour' allegations. A matter of months ago, the Italian celebrity chef, 48, faced accusations of misconduct involving his former colleagues. His alleged behaviour was described as 'unacceptable' and 'distressing', and is said to have included sexualised comments and aggressive language on sets. D'Acampo has always 'firmly denied' the allegations and said they are 'deeply upsetting'. The reports led to him retreating from the limelight, as he was removed from ITV's programming in February. But now, D'Acampo is keen to make a comeback and is set to film a new travelogue later this year. He told The Mirror: 'We have a TV project on for later this year in September, I want to go all around Malta, it's a show called An Italian In Malta. 'The idea is to show everyone all over the world a bit about the country—I want to find the perfect restaurant, the perfect recipe, the perfect spot. 'I will speak to the local people [about] what they cook and how they cooked 200 years ago.' But that's not all, as D'Acampo also has a mystery series in the works, which sees him act for the first time. He revealed: 'I am playing a part in a series; my part is this Italian-American mechanic that is always in trouble with the police or always in trouble with the law, and then he became a mechanic, and he's helping the main character in the show. 'This is acting now; I'm not becoming a real mechanic. I'm useless at stuff like that.' The TV personality actually shared a first glimpse of his role in March via images posted on social media. Snaps showed D'Acampo dressed in a navy boiler suit in what appeared to be a car garage. The TV chef had dark oil patches and dirt across his face and was seen taking a drag on a cigarette while looking at a car engine. Some pics also captured him looking at the camera and discussing scripts. 'What a fantastic experience in Ireland working on a new series… I can't wait for you guys to see it… 😎 p.s Happy St Patrick's Day,' read the caption of the post on Instagram. The upload was supported by some of D'Acampo's former colleagues, including Josie Gibson, who worked with him on This Morning. Celebrity Juice star Leigh Francis, aka Keith Lemon, liked the post too, as did John Barrowman, who has been vocal about his support for the star. In December 2024, D'Acampo was first accused of inappropriate behaviour towards a This Morning colleague. The unnamed woman lodged a complaint to ITV over D'Acampo's alleged behaviour towards her while she worked with him on set of the daytime programme from 2006 to 2011, according to The Sun. It was then claimed that he 'thrust his crotch' at a female staffer while filming on a show with Gordon Ramsay and Fred Sirieix, which D'Acampo denied emphatically. D'Acampo told MailOnline at the time: 'I have been completely shocked by, and deny utterly, these awful accusations of sexual harassment and misconduct against me, which are alleged to have taken place years ago during the shooting of Gordon, Gino & Fred. 'Let me be clear: This did not happen. I take such matters extremely seriously and in particular the suggestion that I have deliberately acted in this improper way against any female employees is deeply upsetting.' In February, D'Acampo's former I'm A Celebrity co-star, Kim Woodburn, called him a 'full-of-himself little pig' who made vile comments about his penis while they appeared on TV together. The cookbook author has been supported by celebrities including Jeremy Clarkson and Gordon Ramsay, who revealed he had reached out to his former co-star. As for his upcoming projects, premiere dates are yet to be revealed. Nicole Scherzinger is to perform in a Las Vegas residency after lighting up Broadway and London's West End with her award-winning role in the musical Sunset Boulevard Nicole Scherzinger is all set for a Las Vegas residency. After scooping a Tony Award for her role in Sunset BLVD, the new Queen of Broadway is a hot property and Nicole is looking ahead to Sin City, my sources tell me. 'Nicole is achieving all her career dreams this year,' the insider says. 'She's conquered Broadway and won a well-deserved Tony, but Nicole has no plans to slow down her career, not when she's in her absolute prime and in such demand.' Earlier this year, Nicole said of a Vegas residency: 'That's the dream.' Now, that dream is looking closer to reality. The source says there have been early discussions, with Nicole hoping to grace the stage at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace, like her idol Celine Dion. Our source added: 'She's a huge fan of Celine's and would love to follow in her footsteps.' Sir Rod Stewart, Kelly Clarkson, Alanis Morissette and Jennifer Lopez are all lined up to perform on the iconic stage this year, so she'd be in good company." It is thought a Vegas show could follow a similar format to Nicole's highly anticipated Carnegie Hall gig, which is happening this October. The girl group last released a single in 2020 and were due to go on a tour in support of reported new music - but the pandemic derailed plans and the Pussycat Dolls disbanded in 2022. Nicole has enjoyed success as a solo artist - releasing smash hits including the singles Don't Hold Your Breath, Your Love and Right There, featuring 50 Cent. She has also dipped her toes into the world of acting both on stage and the big screen. She appeared in the 2012 sci-fi comedy Men in Black 3 and voices Sina, the Chieftess of Motunui, in the Mona animated films by Disney. On stage she featured in a 2010 production of Rent and a production of Cats which ran from 2014 until 2015. Her current star turn as Norma Desmond in Sunset Boulevard began in London in 2023 before transferring to Broadway the following day. As well as winning a Tony, the former X Factor judge also won the 2024 Laurence Olivier Award for Best Actress in a Musical for her performance in the UK. After performing at the 2025 Tony Awards, Nicole shared a video clip via Instagram. In a gushing post, she wrote: "This is a dream come true for me to perform As If We Never Said Goodbye @thetonyawards. "This is my love letter to the theater. Gino is plotting his return to television with a new travel series. Gino D'Acampo is planning his return to television with a new travel series and a foray into acting, The Mirror has revealed. The celebrity chef stepped back from the public eye following allegations of sexually inappropriate behaviour were made against him. After the allegations, which Gino has completely denied, the This Morning chef was removed from ITV's programming in February. Now the Italian presenter has revealed plans to return to the small screen with a new travelogue, to be filmed later this year. He also is trying his hand at acting and is involved in a series shot in Ireland in which he plays a mechanic. Speaking about what is next for him, he said: "We have a TV project for later this year in September, I want to go all around Malta, it's a show called An Italian In Malta. 'The idea is to show everyone all over the world a bit about the country - I want to find the perfect restaurant, the perfect recipe, the perfect spot, I will speak to the local people, what they cook and how they cooked 200 years ago." "I think Malta has done a lot for me, the Maltese have been very welcoming and have said 'hi I'm pleased that you're here' and I am so grateful for that,' he told Vibe Fm Podcast. The 48-year-old has 'firmly denied' accusations of inappropriate behaviour including using sexualised and aggressive language over a period of 12 years made in an ITV News investigation. He said they were 'simply not in my nature'. Following the allegations, it was claimed that his Gordon, Gino and Fred's Road Trip co-star Gordon Ramsay had distanced himself from the presenter. But Gino insists they're still firm friends. He said: "I think there is this misconception that when he was in his 30s in London he was chasing the stars and the pressure in the kitchen in the 90s was high, things were flying around the kitchen but now Gordon is a different man, he's a very generous, cool guy, but you don't want to annoy him. Well I can, I do shows with him - we go around the world. If I FaceTime here he would answer of course, but if I FaceTime him and I'm on a show he will be really annoyed."
