Anurag Kashyap claps back at Netflix CEO Ted Sarandos for his Sacred Games remark
Filmmaker Anurag Kashyap shared a rather strong response to Netflix CEO Ted Sarandos's recent comments on 'Sacred Games'. The latter recently appeared on Nikhil Kamath's WTF podcast, where he spoke about Netflix India's evolution and early content choices - including Sacred Games, Heeramandi, CID, and The Kapil Sharma Show.Reacting to the same, filmmaker Anurag Kashyap lashed out at Sarandos, calling him 'dumb'.advertisementDuring the conversation with Kamath, Ted Sarandos expressed some doubt about Netflix's Indian original programming with 'Sacred Games'. This comment did not sit well with filmmaker Anurag Kashyap, who co-created 'Sacred Games', and he responded strongly on social media. Sharing a screenshot of a news article on the CEO's remark, Kashyap said he "should've started with Saas Bahu."Additionally, he called Sarandos 'dumb' and added, 'I always knew the tech guys are dumb when it comes to storytelling, but @tedsarandos is the definition of dumb is what I didn't know.
