Police asks for public's assistance in solving rape case of 15 year old girl
The Tumahole Family Violence, Child Protection, and Sexual Offenses Unit is calling on the public to assist in tracing a person of interest in connection with a rape case involving a 15-year-old girl.
According to police spokesperson, Sergeant Josephine Rani, the incident occurred on May 23, at around 07:30. It is alleged that the teenager was at school when an unknown man appeared, dragged her to a field behind the school building, and raped her.
Anyone who may know or recognise the person depicted in the photo is requested contact Detective Sergeant Noliyiswa Masondo on 082 049 5208, or Crime Stop on 08600 10111. Alternatively, you can submit an anonymous tip-off on MySAPSApp.

The gunmen then returned to their vehicle and sped away from the scene,' says Mashaba. The victim was declared dead by emergency services when they arrived. His identity has not yet been released, pending further investigation. A murder case has been opened, with the motive still unclear. Police have appealed to the public for information that could assist in the arrest of the suspects. LIMPOPO – Limpopo police have launched an intensive manhunt for a suspect accused of stabbing and killing his girlfriend in Shawela Village during the early hours of Sunday morning (August 17). At around 01:35, officers responded to a report of a violent incident. On arrival, they discovered the body of a 36-year-old woman inside her home, with multiple stab wounds. Police spokesperson Brigadier Hlulani Mashaba says that preliminary investigations suggest the victim had been involved in an altercation with her boyfriend, who fled the scene immediately after the attack. The deceased was a resident of Shawela Village, while the suspect is believed to live in Shawela RDP. A case of murder has been opened, with domestic conflict emerging as a possible motive, although investigations are ongoing. Provincial police commissioner Lieutenant General Thembi Hadebe condemned the killing and ordered that all available resources be deployed to track down the suspect. Police are appealing to community members for assistance.
