Carrie Bradshaw blasted as 'insufferable' as she feuds with Miranda over hot neighbor on And Just Like That
Things came to a head between Carrie Bradshaw (Sarah Jessica Parker) and Miranda Hobbes (Cynthia Nixon) on episode 7, titled 'They Wanna Have Fun.'
Carrie has been busy trying to make her rocky long-distance romance with Aidan Shaw (John Corbett) work, but recently formed a friendship with her handsome downstairs neighbor, British writer Duncan Reeves (Jonathan Cake).
In the new episode Carrie threw a party for pal Charlotte York (Kristin Davis), which Duncan attended.
The duo enjoyed the festivities together. But when Miranda brought up their growing bond, Carrie got offended and appeared to think her friend was trying to insinuate something romantic was going on between them.
Fans on social media seemed to side with Miranda, with one blasting Carrie as 'insufferable' and another writing, 'Carrie was talking to Miranda crazy. She really is a terrible friend.'
'Carrie is still such a brat. And Aiden sucks. Enough, please,' another wrote.
'Carrie is insufferable. She can't even accept an accurate observation from good friend Miranda and constantly puts her on the defensive. Forget about the fact that Miranda is not even close to her original character but Carrie is truly insecure and it's hard to watch.'
'Carrie & miranda having the same fights years later.'
'I need Carrie to move on from Aiden FOR GOOD.'
'Of course Miranda is the only one to talk sense to Carrie. Of course Carrie got defensive immediately. Same script, different year.'
'Miranda is annoying but she is spot on about Carrie and Aiden!'
'Nothing Miranda said wasn't true and that's why Carrie is salty af.'
The scene takes place when Miranda stays to chat with Carrie after the guests leave, and playfully mentions that she saw her having fun with Duncan.
An irritated Carrie snaps, 'Yes, I laughed and I sipped a drink. What are you saying?'
'Wait, are you upset?' Miranda questions. 'I don't understand what's happening right now. We were just doing a fun little party debrief.'

'Well, of course you are. I was just saying, it was nice to see you having fun.'
'I don't have fun?' Carrie questioned her friend.
'I'm not saying anything is going on,' Miranda explained.
'Sometimes it seems like you're working so hard with Aiden,' Miranda shares.
'Well, yes, I guess I am. Not all relationships are effortless.'
'Yes, I got it,' Miranda replies.
'Yes, maybe I laughed and had a sip of Scotch. I am allowed to laugh and sip Scotch,' Carrie went on.
The two continue going back and forth until Miranda apologizes for mentioning it.
Earlier in the episode Carrie chats with Duncan about her book manuscript, and he tells her that the first chapter is 'brilliant.'
She then invites him to a party party she is throwing for Charlotte.

The episode also introduced Patti LuPone, 76, as Gia, the mother of Anthony's (Mario Cantone) boyfriend Giuseppe (Sebastiano Pigazzi).
While Carrie and Gia hit it off, Anthony does not make a great first impression on his partner's mom.
Elsewhere Carrie struggles not to reveal to Miranda that Charlotte's husband Harry (Evan Handler) has been diagnosed with prostate cancer.
However, Miranda senses that something is going on, and when she refuses to let the subject drop, Carrie lies and says that it's Charlotte's bulldog who has cancer.
Later during her party, Charlotte is confused when Miranda insists on taking photos of her with the dog.
Miranda proceeds to have have a conversation with Harry, telling him, 'I just wanted you to know that when the unthinkable happens, of course Charlotte will be devastated by the loss, but we'll be there for her.'

He confronts his wife, asking, 'Did you tell Miranda about my situation?'
'Of course not, you asked me not to tell anyone,' she replies.
Charlotte then asks Carrie if she told Miranda, and she confesses that she made up the story about her dog having a tumor.
Tired of the secrets, Henry gathers all of Charlotte's friends in the kitchen to reveal the truth.
Joy (played by Dolly Wells), Miranda's new romantic interest, is also introduced to the group at the party.

While at the party, Gia proceeds to grill Anthony about his bakery, and the skimpy uniforms his workers wear.
'I'd like to know more about you and your business, Anthony,' she tells him.
Anthony seems pleasantly surprised by her interest, until she asks: 'So, you're selling sex, yes?'
'Uh, no I'm selling bread,' he tells her.
'Yes, bread, but with a bulge. The uniform is all about sex, yes?'
'Well, I think it's more about fun. It's just fun.'
'So you think sex is just about fun? Interesting,' she asks.
She then tells him he seems 'nervous' as Anthony begins snacking on a pretzel stick.
'Of course I'm nervous, I want you to like me.'
'Interesting,' she replies.
Later on Gia makes a jab at his romance with her son, saying she thinks it's 'tragic' when 'someone older lusts after someone younger.'
It's also revealed that Charlotte's daughter Lily (Cathy Ang) is going through her first breakup.
Elsewhere in the episode Seema (Sarita Choudhury) has a flirty encounter with Carrie's gardener, Adam Gardens (Logan Marshall-Green.)
Earlier on it's shown that Seema suffered an eye infection from eyelash extensions, and she goes on to attend the party with a Louis Vuitton eyepatch covering her eye.
While at the bash, Adam tells her he broke up with his girlfriend.

The beloved Sex and the City series follows friends Carrie, Miranda, and Charlotte and their tangled lives in New York City.
Nicole Ari Parker and Sarita returned as the group's new besties Lisa and Seema this season.
The show picks up 11 years after the events of the 2010 film Sex and the City 2, and follows three of the four original main characters.
Following the success of Kim Cattrall 's cameo in the second season, it's been widely reported Samantha will return for at least part of the third season.
Sara Ramirez will not be returning as controversial non-binary comedian Che Diaz (there's some disagreement as to whether this was because of their political posts, because of the end of the character's relationship with Miranda, or because viewers just found them so annoying).
Since starting in December 2021, the Sex And The City spin-off has seen Carrie, Samantha and Charlotte grapple with sexuality, gender identity, death, grief, divorce, drug use, and pretty much every other hot issue in Western society.
The original Sex and the City ran for six seasons, airing on HBO from 1998 until 2004.
The story continued with two feature films: Sex and the City (2008) and Sex and the City 2 (2010).
The first season of And Just Like That... premiered in 2021.
There will be 12 episodes in And Just Like That… season 3, with the last premiering on August 14.

Hulk Hogan's sex tape lawsuit had a lasting effect on cases involving celebrity privacy
Famous for his fearless bravado as a pro wrestler, Hulk Hogan won one of his most notable victories in a Florida courtroom by emphasizing his humiliation and emotional distress after a news and gossip website published a video of Hogan having sex with a friend's wife. A 2016 civil trial that pitted the First Amendment against the privacy rights of celebrities ended with a jury awarding Hogan a whopping $140 million in his lawsuit against Gawker Media. Though both parties later settled on $31 million to avoid protracted appeals, the case put Gawker out of business. It also ensured Hogan, who died Thursday at age 71, and his legal team would have a long-term impact on media law. The case showed that, in certain circumstances, celebrities could persuade a jury that their right to privacy outweighs the freedom of the press — even when the published material was true. The case put media outlets on notice that 'the public doesn't necessarily like the press,' especially when reporting intrudes into intimate details of even public figures' private lives, said Samantha Barbas, a University of Iowa law professor who writes about press freedoms and First Amendment issues. She said it also emboldened celebrities, politicians and others in the public spotlight to be more aggressive in suing over unflattering news coverage — as seen recently in President Donald Trump 's pursuit of court cases against the Wall Street Journal, ABC and CBS. 'I think the lasting effect of the Hulk Hogan case was it really started this trend of libel and privacy lawsuits being weaponized to kind of take down these media organizations,' Barbas said. Hogan wept hearing the verdict in a case that was 'real personal' Hogan, whose given name was Terry Bollea, sued Gawker for invading his privacy after the website in 2012 posted an edited version of a video of Hogan having sex with the wife of his then-best friend, Florida-based radio DJ Bubba The Love Sponge Clem. Clem gave his blessing to the coupling and recorded the video that was later leaked to Gawker. Hogan insisted he was unaware the intimate encounter was being filmed. The former WWE champion testified that he was 'completely humiliated' when the sex video became public. Hogan's lead trial attorney, Ken Turkel, recalled Thursday how his muscular, mustachioed client cried in court as the jury verdict was read. 'To him the privacy part of it was integral. It was important,' Turkel said. 'Eight-year-old kids were googling 'Hulk Hogan' and 'Wrestlemania,' and they were getting a sex tape. That was hurtful to him in a real personal way.' The three-week trial was closely followed far beyond the courtroom in St. Petersburg, Florida, as thousands of wrestling fans, First Amendment watchers and others stayed glued to their screens as the trial was streamed live online. Salacious details emerged about Hogan's sex life as jurors and spectators viewed. images of him in thong underwear. Other testimony focused on how New York-based Gawker practiced journalism differently than traditional news outlets. And Hogan explained to the jury about the difference between his wrestling persona and his private life. Jury rejected that First Amendment protected publishing sex tape The jury ultimately rejected arguments by Gawker's attorneys that Hogan's sex tape was newsworthy and that publishing it, no matter how distasteful, was protected speech under the First Amendment. 'Now more people, including judges, understand that it's possible to sue someone for revealing something truthful, as long as that something is deeply personal and its publication is highly offensive,' said Amy Gajda, a Brooklyn Law School professor who followed and wrote about the case against Gawker. News outlets still have broad legal protection for publishing information about public figures, even things that would generally be considered private, Gajda said 'As long as there is news value in what is published and the media can argue that effectively, they can get a privacy case dismissed very early on,' she said. ___ Bynum reported from Savannah, Georgia.

The world's best bar is flying in from Mexico City for a 4-day NYC takeover
New York's cocktail scene is no stranger to world-class talent, but this September, the reigning champ of global mixology is making a rare—and brief—appearance on local turf. From Wednesday, September 3 to Saturday, September 6, Handshake Speakeasy, the Mexico City cocktail den currently ranked numer one on The World's 50 Best Bars, will stage an exclusive four-night takeover of MAD Bar & Lounge inside the NH Collection New York Madison Avenue. It's the first time the team has popped up in New York and yes, it's expected to be wildly hard to get in. If you're not familiar with Handshake, it's not your average speakeasy. Behind an unmarked door in Mexico City's Zona Rosa district, the bar has earned global acclaim for its science-meets-sensory approach to cocktails. Drinks often take 24 to 48 hours to create in the lab-like prep kitchen, where culinary techniques and high-end ingredients combine into what can best be described as liquid wizardry. Now, they're bringing that same energy (alongside some New York-inspired twists) to Manhattan for four nights only. 'This is not just a cocktail bar—it's a sensory experience,' says Carlos Salomon, the general manager of NH Collection New York Madison Avenue. 'We're proud to host a world-class team that's redefining what it means to enjoy a drink.' While the exact cocktail menu remains under wraps, you can expect high-concept presentation, inventive ingredients and a few exclusive collaborations that may never appear again. MAD Bar will be reimagined for the occasion, with limited seating and an intimate vibe designed to let the drinks (and drama) shine. Reservations open Sunday, August 3 via Resy, and priority will be given to hotel guests, so if you're desperate to score a seat, consider booking a room. In a city where great bars are everywhere, this may be your only chance to sip from the top shelf—literally.

Hogan, who WWE confirmed today has died aged 71, was a guest on the show alongside long-time friend and business partner Eric Bischoff to discuss the launch of a new freestyle wrestling organisation, 'Real American Freestyle'. The wrestling legend, styled in his iconic late '90s-era bleach blonde handlebar moustache and black dyed beard 'Hollywood Hogan' look, had fun with the hosts by delivering one of his signature unscripted promos to camera. Medics were called to Hogan's home in Clearwater, Florida this morning according to TMZ, after he reportedly suffered a cardiac arrest.
