Is Lee Jong Suk's magic still alive? 5 reasons K-drama Law and City could be worth the wait as actor makes comeback after three years

Law and City is one of the most hyped K-dramas of the year, partly because it marks Lee's return to his 'soft boy era', something fans have been waiting for him to revisit after his recent gigs into darker, more mature roles. His earlier hits like Pinocchio, While You Were Sleeping, and W: Two Worlds are what made him a global favourite long before the Hallyu wave went mainstream. But with his limited project choices and rare appearances, some fans were left disappointed with his long absence from the scene.
A legal drama with slice-of-life comfort, a genre still largely untouched in the industry. Unlike high-profile legal shows packed with dramatic courtroom battles, action scenes, blood, and grit, this one keeps it real and relatable. It focuses on the everyday grind, the burnout, ethical dilemmas, and struggles associate lawyers face while simply trying to make a living. It's one of the most grounded takes we've seen in a while, and that's what makes it hit close to home, making the binge all the more worth it. Speaking of his character, Lee in an interview said, 'Although I played a lawyer in my last drama, that story didn't really focus on the character's job as a lawyer. In this drama, I fully act out the job of a lawyer, but there aren't many scenes with heated courtroom arguments or rebuttals.'

Nothing's more satisfying than when the lead pairing just clicks and matches exactly what fans were hoping for. In Law and City, Lee Jong Suk could be seen romancing Moon Ga Young, and their contrasting energies are already turning heads. The True Beauty star brings her playful energy, while Lee keeps it calm and composed, just like his character, a logical and emotionally detached lawyer. Young plays the passionate, idealistic rookie. Lee even praised her in an interview, teasing that she's 'the most senior among us' thanks to her 20 years in the industry (she started as a child actor). He joked, 'I often asked her, 'Was my acting okay?''
The best part about Law and City is that the screenwriter, Lee Seung Hyun, is a practising lawyer himself. He helped the cast understand the ground reality, offering raw and real insights into how cases are actually handled, far from the romanticised courtroom drama we usually see on screen. From courtroom etiquette to the nitty-gritty of legal work and office politics, everything is well-researched and grounded. In an interview, Moon Ga Young specifically pointed out how having a professional on set helped her. She said she got to ask 'a lot of detailed questions like the appropriate tone for courtroom arguments or the atmosphere depending on the case.'
In today's hustle culture, healing K-dramas like Our Unwritten Seoul, Welcome to Samdalri, Hometown Cha-Cha-Cha, and others have found a solid fanbase. Law and City is clearly aiming for that same space, exploring themes of friendship, growth, and connection. Beyond the legal jargon and courtroom drama, what really stands out are the fun banters over soju tables, shared hotpot dinners, and the personal journeys of five associate lawyers trying to figure life out. It's about emotional space, shared meals, and small moments of self-discovery in the middle of professional chaos.
Law and City will premiere on July 5 on Disney+ Hotstar, and JioHotstar.

A Sweet Reflection-Why This Collab Hits Home Watching Candy Shop and JaeYeol ASMR go all-in on dessert madness feels oddly familiar-like those late-night hostel parties where everyone chips in to make Maggi or tries weird food combos just for laughs. Sometimes, the best moments happen when you mix a little K-pop, a dash of YouTube, and a whole lot of dessert.

New Delhi: The makers of Sarzameen had unveiled a teaser a few days back, where fans were left intrigued with the interesting first glimpse. While South fans were delighted to see Malayalam superstar Prithviraj Sukumaran, some were left divided over whether to like Ibrahim Ali Khan's onscreen presence after the Nadaaniyan debacle. The trailer dropped earlier today, and all doubts have been put to rest for now. Ibrahim Ali Khan looks intense, Kajol as a dutiful mother looks promising, and Prithviraj Sukumaran is impressive as an army officer. What's Happening Sarzameen is directed by debut filmmaker Kayoze Irani, Boman Irani's son. The trailer was dropped earlier today and has been received warmly by the audience. The trailer sets the base for a story high on drama and the feeling of patriotism. Set against the beautiful backdrop of Jammu & Kashmir, Ibrahim Ali Khan plays the role of Harman, son of Kajol and Prithviraj Sukumaran, who is an army officer. While the trailer does not reveal a lot of Ibrahim's character, it does drop hints on his troubled relationship with his onscreen father since childhood. Kajol has to choose between the two, which doubles up the drama. How The Internet Reacted Social media was pleasantly surprised at Ibrahim Ali Khan's new avatar. Even though he did not have any dialogue in the trailer, he left a lasting impression. One person commented, " Itni natural acting Iggy, impressed boss," whereas someone else said, "Brooo Ibrahim ate this UP in # Sarzameen trailer. That screen presence?? Too good." Another Internet user said, "Star kid nahi, future star lag raha hai" whereas a fan mentioned, "Oh this looks solid even Ibrahim is holding up good. I AM SOO SEATED #Kajol # Sarzameen." In A Nutshell Sarzameen is all set to drop on JioHotstar on July 25, 2025. The trailer has further upped the expectations of the audience with its gripping narrative.

Kyuhyun Outsmarts Kim Jong Kook With His Ultra-Frugal Lifestyle - You Won't Believe How Little He Spends Every Month!
Kyuhyun vs. Kim Jong Kook If you thought your friend who bargains for every pani puri was stingy, wait till you hear about Kyuhyun from Super Junior! The K-pop idol is none other than Kim Jong Kook! On a recent show, Kyuhyun casually dropped the bomb that his monthly credit card bill is less than ₩500,000-that's just about ₹29,000! For context, that's what a lot of college students in India spend on weekend Zomato orders and random online shopping sprees. But Kyuhyun? He's out here living the ultimate budget life, and honestly, it's kind of iconic. Fashion on a Budget: Kyuhyun's ₹1,200 Trousers So, how does he do it? Kyuhyun revealed his secret: he buys shirts online for just ₩15,000 (around ₹900) each, and gets them in every color. His gym wardrobe? Just a rainbow of these bargain shirts. Kim Jong Kook, ever the gym bro, couldn't resist poking fun: "Why do you wear shirts to the gym? I've never seen you in workout clothes!" Turns out, Kyuhyun even wears cotton trousers (not even track pants!) to the gym, and they're just ₩20,000 a pair-about ₹1,200. Imagine walking into your local gym in formal slacks because you refuse to buy athleisure. That's some next-level jugaad, and honestly, it's the kind of thriftiness every Indian student with a tight budget can relate to. Why Are Celebs So Relatable Sometimes? It's not every day you see a celebrity openly brag about buying cheap clothes and keeping their spending lower than your average IT intern. In a world where stars flaunt luxury brands and million-rupee watches, Kyuhyun's "middle-class hero" vibes are a breath of fresh air. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like 2025 Top Trending local enterprise accounting software [Click Here] Esseps Learn More Undo It's like when you see your favorite Bollywood actor eating street food or riding the metro-suddenly, they feel a little more like us. And let's be real: who hasn't bought the same T-shirt in five colors during a sale, or worn their "good" trousers to every possible occasion just to avoid spending extra? Kyuhyun's thriftiness is a reminder that you don't need to burn a hole in your pocket to look good (or hit the gym).
