Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India (HMSI) today announced the launch of the 2025 Gold Wing Tour – the 50th Anniversary Edition in the Indian market. The tourer is priced at 39.90 lakh ex-showroom, and the bookings are now open at BigWing Topline dealerships. Customer deliveries of this flagship luxury tourer will begin in India from June 2025 onwards.

The 50th Anniversary version of the Honda Gold Wing is finished in Bordeaux Red Metallic colour and there is a special Gold Wing emblem with 50th Anniversary and 'since 1975' detailing commemorating the motorcycle's important milestone.

Regarding equipment, the latest Gold Wing Tour boasts a feature-laden cockpit equipped with a 7.0-inch full-color TFT display that offers information on riding, navigation, and audio. Additionally, it introduces first-in-class wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay for enhanced connectivity, along with a new welcome screen that displays "Since 1975" upon starting the motorcycle.
The comfort of touring is further enhanced by an extended electric screen that provides excellent wind protection, upgraded audio system speakers that deliver rich sound at all speeds, Bluetooth connectivity featuring two USB type-C sockets, a Tyre Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS), and numerous other features. There is also Throttle-By-Wire (TBW) system, dual-channel ABS, traction control, airbag and all LED lighting on offer.

At the heart of the new Honda Gold Wing Tour is a massive 1,833 cc, liquid-cooled, 4 stroke, 24 valve, flat six-cylinder engine that churns out 124 bhp of max power and 170 Nm of peak torque. The engine is paired with a 7-speed Dual Clutch Transmission (DCT). There are four riding modes on offer - Tour, Sport, Econ and Rain.

Honda CBR650R, CB650R Now Available Only With E-Clutch In India
Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India launched the CBR650R and the CB650R in the Indian market back in January 2025. This was followed by the launch of the e-clutch variants in May 2025. Now, months after the launch of these bikes, the Japanese motorcycle manufacturer has discontinued the base model of both motorcycles, leaving the e-clutch version as standard. It is to be noted that these versions of the bike are almost Rs 40,000 more expensive than the version without the automatic shifting technology. At the time of launch, the Honda CB650R e-clutch had a price tag of Rs 9.60 lakh (ex-showroom). Meanwhile, the fully-faired supersport had a price tag of Rs 10.40 lakh (ex-showroom). Without the tech, the CB650R and the CBR650R were introduced at Rs 9.20 lakh (ex-showroom) and Rs 9.99 lakh (ex-showroom), respectively. It is designed to enhance riding comfort by removing the necessity for the clutch lever in the operation of the motorcycle. This system is combined with a 649 cc four-cylinder liquid-cooled petrol engine on both models. The engine is tuned to deliver 95 hp at 12,000 rpm and 63 Nm of maximum torque at 9,500 rpm. The e-clutch works with a 6-speed transmission to transfer power to the rear wheel. Both motorcycles are equipped with a 5-inch full-color TFT display that features Bluetooth smartphone connectivity via the Honda RoadSync app, enabling users to access navigation, call notifications, and message alerts. The suspension systems for both bikes utilize Showa's 41mm SFF-BP inverted front forks and a rear mono-shock that has an adjustable preload. Regarding braking, Honda has equipped these motorcycles with twin disc brakes at the front and a single disc at the rear, along with a dual-channel ABS system.

Two-wheeler sales May '25: Hero, Honda tussle for crown, how others performed
The Indian two-wheeler market kept growing in May 2025, with most major brands recording higher sales compared to last year. Hero MotoCorp emerged as the highest-selling manufacturer. The company sold 5,07,701 motorcycles and scooters during the month, marking a modest rise from 4,98,123 units in May 2024. Motorcycles formed the bulk of Hero's volumes with 475,164 units, up from 471,186 units last year. Scooter sales also climbed to 32,537 units from 26,937 units a year ago. Domestic sales grew to 488,997 units, while exports also edged up slightly to 18,704 units from 18,673 units in the same period last year. Close behind was Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India, which reported total sales of 4,65,115 units in May 2025. This figure includes 4,17,256 units sold in the domestic market and 47,859 units shipped overseas. Honda Two-Wheelers Records 5.5 Percent YoY Decline In May'25
Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India announced its sales figures for May 2025. The company's total sales for May'25 stood at 4,65,115 units. This includes domestic sales of 4,17,256 units and 47,859 units of exports. The brand's FY26 (April'25 - May '25) total sales stand at 9,45,979 units. This includes domestic sales of 8,40,155 units and 1,05,824 units of exports. The data interprets that Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India has suffered a 7.40 percent decline in domestic sales in May'25. However, the export witnesses a 14.34 percent increase. If we take into account the MoM sales, HMSI witnesses a 1.34 percent decline in the domestic sales compared to April 2025. Honda sold 4,22,931 units, which now stand at 4,17,256 units. Also, there is a 17.43 percent decline in exports, as it exported a total of 57,965 units in April 2025, while the export figures for May 2025 stand at 47,859 units.
