Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India reports sales of 4.65 lakh units in May

Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India (HMSI) reported total sales of 4,65,115 units for May 2025, including 4,17,256 units sold in the domestic market and 47,859 units exported. The company's cumulative sales for FY26 so far (April to May) stand at 9,45,979 units, with domestic sales at 8,40,155 units and exports at 1,05,824 units. Key achievements In May, HMSI expanded its premium BigWing motorcycle portfolio with the launch of several new models, including the Rebel 500, X-ADV, CB750 Hornet, CB1000 Hornet SP, and a 50th Anniversary edition of the Gold Wing Tour. The E-Clutch variants of CB650R and CBR650R also became available in the Indian market. On the manufacturing front, Honda marked a global milestone by producing its 500 millionth motorcycle. The company also announced an increase in production capacity with the addition of a new line at its Vithalapur plant in Gujarat. In road safety initiatives , HMSI conducted awareness campaigns in 13 cities across India and partnered with Hyderabad Traffic Police to host a summer camp focused on road safety education.

What are the features of the 2025 Honda Gold Wing Tour 50th Anniversary Edition? Regarding equipment, the latest Gold Wing Tour boasts a feature-laden cockpit equipped with a 7.0-inch full-color TFT display that offers information on riding, navigation, and audio. Additionally, it introduces first-in-class wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay for enhanced connectivity, along with a new welcome screen that displays "Since 1975" upon starting the motorcycle. The comfort of touring is further enhanced by an extended electric screen that provides excellent wind protection, upgraded audio system speakers that deliver rich sound at all speeds, Bluetooth connectivity featuring two USB type-C sockets, a Tyre Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS), and numerous other features.
