Emergency water repairs force Jersey road closure
Jersey Water posted on Facebook at about 07:35 BST on Monday it sent engineers to Pier Road, St Helier, after receiving reports of a problem with the mains network.
A road closure from the car park to the junction of Mulcaster Street was set up by Jersey Police, with the force saying access to the car park would still available via Mount Bingham.
A spokesperson for Jersey Water apologised for any inconvenience caused and said the company was working as quickly as possible to repair the issue and reopen the road.

Lanes closed on Highway 22 after fiery, four-vehicle crash. Detour in place
Drivers are being asked to avoid Highway 22 between Highway 90 and Highway 905 as all Aynor-bound lanes are closed Wednesday evening after a four-vehicle, fiery crash. The road closure is expected to last several hours, according to an Horry County Police Facebook post. The crash involved a commercial vehicle that caught fire, according to a Facebook post from Horry County Fire Rescue. Critical injuries are reported. Major closures on I-35/80 near West Mix Master begin tonight
POLK COUNTY, Iowa — Beginning Wednesday Night at 10 p.m., the southbound lanes of I-80/35 between Douglas and the West Mix Master will close until 4 a.m. Thursday morning. The southbound lane closures will also take place Sunday, August 24 and Tuesday, August 26. Scott Nixon, the District 1 District Engineer for the Iowa DOT, said the project's goal is to add lanes to the interstate. Increasing visa worker fees impacting local farmers' bottom lines 'The Hickman job, as we call it, of course, is the expansion of 35/80. It's basically adding lanes, auxiliary lanes, reconstructing ramps through the area and all three of the interchanges at University, Hickman and Douglas,' Nixon said. Ramp closures at both the Douglas southbound on-ramp and the Hickman southbound off-ramp begin on August 27 and last through mid-December. Partial closure of Haggerty Road along Farmington Hills and Novi set for September
Part of Haggerty Road in Oakland County, Michigan, will be closed to through traffic for about four weeks this fall. The closure will be from 13 Mile Road to 14 Mile Road, along the border of Farmington Hills and Novi. The Road Commission for Oakland County said the closure starts Sept. 2 and will go through late September to allow for removal and replacement of a culvert at Seeley Drain. That section of Haggerty Road normally sees about 15,600 vehicles a day. Access to homes and businesses along Haggerty Road will be maintained, although the road will be completely closed at the culvert that runs just north of Lancaster Drive. Through traffic will be detoured on 12 Mile Road to M-5 to 14 Mile Road, back to Haggerty Road and vice versa. The posted detour reflects the fact that the City of Novi has already closed 13 Mile Road from Haggerty Road to M-5 for a paving project that runs until late September. The cost of the project is $975,000, which will be paid for by the road commission. The contractor for the project is DiPonio Contracting of Shelby Township.
