Best AFC 2025 NFL Draft picks
USA TODAY's Tyler Dragon breaks down which teams in the AFC drafted the best this year.
Sports Seriously
Baltimore is known for its rich history.
A city on the harbor, Baltimore served as the birthplace for the American national anthem, witnessed war and was home to the famous poet Edgar Allan Poe. Seafood reigns supreme in this region, with the smell of Old Bay seasoning wafting across the city in what might just be some oversized air freshener.
For a place that loves the water, their sports teams aim to own the sky. The Baltimore Ravens and Orioles ensure that the locals have entertainment almost all year long.
Yet when it comes to history, it's the sports teams that are trying to rewrite their stories.
That is especially true for the Ravens, who have been one of the NFL's best teams despite having no trophies to show for it in recent memory.
Lamar Jackson has proven to be the missing ingredient for winning in Baltimore. The quarterback has essentially done nothing but stack Ws since arriving in 2018. That's eluded them in the playoffs, however, where the Ravens continue to be grounded.
They're back and looking to fly high again in 2025, hoping that this will be the year it finally clicks when the lights are brightest.
USA TODAY Sports predicts the Ravens' record as the 2025 NFL schedule release approaches.

Ravens record prediction 2025
Record prediction: 13-4
The Ravens are locked and loaded to run it back in 2025.
Without any major losses via trade or free agency, the Ravens have the luxury of returning a roster that went 12-5 last season. Jackson played at an MVP level, Derrick Henry dazzled in his first year wearing purple and now some defensive reinforcements are on the way from the draft.
Malaki Starks and Mike Green figure to play big roles on this team, solidifying the secondary and bolstering the pass rush.
The schedule doesn't do them many favors, checking in with the 12th-toughest in the league, per Sharp Football Analysis.
However, the Ravens should be able to beat up on a division that is a relative unknown. The Browns don't project to be a good team, the Steelers are without a quarterback at the moment and the Bengals have failed to meet expectations.
The home schedule is loaded with winnable games and the Ravens are the best bet to continue their recent AFC North dominance en route to another division crown.
A great regular season awaits the Ravens, but the real success will be measured in the playoffs.

Stephen A. Smith: Failure to buy Bills sparked Donald Trump's first presidential run
Nearly 10 years ago to the day, a certain someone took a certain ride down a certain golden escalator and most certainly upended American politics. As Stephen A. Smith told it on Monday night's edition of The Daily Show, the rise of Donald Trump the politician is tied directly to his inability to buy the Buffalo Bills a year before he threw his hat in the presidential ring. 'In 2014, he wanted to purchase the NFL's Buffalo Bills,' Smith told Jon Stewart. 'The price tag was $1.4 billion. . . . My sources tell me he had $1.1 [billion]. . . . He literally called me in 2014 and he said, 'Stephen, I'm going to tell you this right now' — and this is a quote — 'if them mutherfuckers get in my way, I'm gonna get them all back. I'm gonna run for president.' Those are his exact words. 'And so the NFL often jokes with me, 'So it's our fault' when I tell them that story. And I say, 'Yeah.'' This prompted Stewart to make a direct plea to the camera: 'People of Buffalo. Give him the fucking team. Save us.' Smith explained Trump's viewpoint on the matter. 'He was putting the word out that if this doesn't happen — he wanted to do it, and this should happen, I'm Donald Trump, I'm very popular and well known, I'm worth over a billion dollars, I should be able to purchase an NFL team if I want it,' Smith said. 'And if I can't get it, it's because they're getting in my way. That was his position. Their position was, 'You didn't have enough money.'' And he didn't. Because at the end of the day that's all it takes to buy an NFL team: Come up with the best offer. Terry and Kim Pegula came up with a better offer than the twice future president. But, yes, there's an alternate universe in which Trump owns the Bills and he isn't the president and he calls in to PFT Live on a regular basis to complain that the league office is being very unfair.

Associated Press KANSAS CITY, Mo.
