Sir Andy Murray has been named as one of Britain's richest sportspeople in the newly released Sunday Times Rich List 2025..
The former tennis ace - who brought the curtain down on his playing career at last year's Paris Olympics - features in the '40 Under 40' list, which details the wealthiest people in the UK under the age of 40. His staggering net worth of £110 million puts him joint 35th on that list, with his wealth rising by £10 million over the last year.

Murray's huge fortune is hardly surprising, having banked close to £52 million in winnings over the course of his playing career, in which he won three major titles as well as two OIympic gold medals.

Over the years, he has also signed lucrative endorsement and sponsorship deals with big names like Jaguar, Castore, Under Armour and Head and collaborated with other brands including Amazon Prime Video, Standard Life, and American Express, to give his huge net worth a further boost.
However, it is not only through his tennis career that Murray has made his fortune, having worked closely with his wife Kim to make a number of savvy business decisions in recent years.
Together, they own the stunning five-star Cromlix House hotel near the tennis star's hometown of Dunblane in Scotland, where they held their wedding reception in 2015 after getting married at the town's cathedral.

The couple had purchased the hotel two years earlier for a reported sum of £1.8 million, with Murray's brother Jamie also getting married at the venue and his grandparents previously celebrating their wedding anniversaries there.
The luxury hotel, which sits in 34 acres of private grounds and woodland, has 10 bedrooms, five suites and a one bedroom lodge, as well as its own private chapel, tennis court, pickleball court and a restaurant run by an award-winning chef.
It was built as a Victorian mansion and passed down the generations of the Drummond family, while it was run by a management firm until December 2022, when the Murrays announced they were going to take over the running the venue.

The hotel has since undergone extensive refurbishmen to become one of the most sought-after luxury venues in Scotland, with room prices tending to range from between £350 to £950 per night, according to KAYAK.
While Murray has been busy wrapping up his tennis career and taking a shock short-term role on Novak Djokovic's coaching team, Kim has been hailed as the "creative force" behind the hotel venture and has taken a very active role in shaping the look and feel of the venue.
While she has no formal training in interior design, according to an interview with Country Living magazine, she previously considered enrolling at art college, while she also ran a pet portrait business called Brushes and Paws.

'We'd finished having children and we'd finished building our house, so it seemed the perfect time," she told the publication as she opened up on the challenges of running the hotel. "Having little kids has been all-consuming.
"Renovating the hotel has enabled me to come out of motherhood and create something different. I think of it as a family project. Maybe in 15 years, the kids will be interested in it. I want to see where it takes us.'
The hotel has since won the AA Hotel of the Year award for Scotland, with Murray paying tribute to his wife for all her hard work in a sweet post on social media.

However, the venture has not always been smooth sailing, with the hotel making another significant loss over the latest financial year.
In March, it was revealed that the venue posted a loss of £369,045 for the year ending March 2024, according to CityAM.

However, while it was a substantial loss, it's an improvement on figures for the previous year, when the hotel lost a whopping £919,572. It last made a profit back in 2022, when it was up £416,442 for the year.
In terms of other ventures, the couple recently oversaw the launch of the hotel's own brand of gin, made with ingredients found within the grounds of the venue.
The pair teamed up with craft gin maker Wildfire Gin to create Cromlix Gin, which includes raspberry leaf and milk thistle from the hotel garden, and is made with water from a borehole in the grounds.

Murray is also a shareholder in sportswear company Castore, who supply kits for the likes of Everton and Newcastle United, and has collaborated with them on his own clothing line called AMC.
"I'd wanted to set up my own apparel brand for a long time," said the tennis ace, who made Castore his official kit partner in 2019.
"I felt there was a clear gap in the market for stylish tennis wear and so, with my team, we identified Castore as a brand that could help me deliver something I felt really proud of.

"I like the fact that they are a British brand, set up by two brothers, and that sustainability is important to them. I think the most important thing is to be true to who you are. If a brand partnership doesn't feel genuine, people can quite quickly see through that and it just doesn't work."
