Aug 15, 2025
'Property of No One', an Amsterdam-based one-day festival, is set to launch its first iteration with a stellar lineup of indie artists from across the Middle East and North Africa region, at Tolhuistuin cultural centre on September 27th.
The festival includes a multidisciplinary curated program of live performances, panel talks, and workshops, spotlighting the rapidly growing alternative scene of the Mashreq. While the full lineup remains under wraps, the confirmed names include Egyptian indie pop star Juno, folk singer-songwriter Luka Salam, Jordanian alt-pop sensation Zaid Khaled, alongside Syrian multi-instrumentalist Hadi Birajakli, and Maya Ma, the solo alias of Ramy Abul-Ata, who is known for combining alt-pop, rock, funk and trip-hop.
The festival is split across three rooms at Tolhuistuin, with the main room featuring a curation of live acts expressing different ends of the Mashreq sound, while the second room will host different screenings, art interviews and DJ sets in collaboration with Paris-based organization Kalam Aflam and Netherlands music broadcasting platform, Sayyad Station. Meanwhile, Room three will host various cultural workshops, accompanied by a full-day market space.
The full lineup will be announced soon. Tickets are available on the link in @ponfestival's Instagram bio.

Superstar Tamer Hosny Launches Streetwear Label Seven
Egyptian singer and actor Tamer Hosny launches Seven, a streetwear label with staple and limited edition pieces blending clean everyday wear with bolder textures. Aug 17, 2025 Egyptian singer and actor Tamer Hosny has launched a new clothing brand called Seven, marking his first move into fashion. The brand takes its name from the number that, according to Hosny, kept appearing in his life until it became a personal symbol. He describes it as carrying 'a lot of secrets,' something he saw as both a sign and a source of inspiration. Seven positions itself as a streetwear label, with a range that includes men's, women's, kids', and unisex collections spanning everyday staples, t-shirts, jeans, shorts, and linen shirts, alongside shoes and other basics. The aesthetic is mostly clean and functional, built around relaxed silhouettes and wardrobe staples that can move easily between casual wear and performance-inspired looks. Early pieces show pared-back cuts, washed fabrics, and subtle graphic work. The limited edition collection, by contrast, experiments with texture and finish. Here the fabrics and treatments carry more presence; washed-out finishes, linen blends, camouflage prints, and coordinated sets. These designs move beyond basics and lean toward statement dressing, while still holding to a relaxed, street-oriented cut.
