Daily Mirror4 hours ago

Jessie J posted a positive update after undergoing surgery. Jessie announced recently that she had been diagnosed with "early breast cancer" and would be undergoing surgery, but in a recent post, she revealed her "cancer is all gone" as she focused on resting and recovering from the surgery.
In her Instagram Stories, she said: "Cancer has all gone. My nipple is where it used to be. I can watch love island with no guilt. I am getting to rest and talk to friends more than ever My Mum lives with us (My) Sky just being Sky.
"Chanan making me feel safe and the massages are 10/10 Connecting with other people who are going through a similar time and being able to support each other. Lots of other things..."
She went on to share her honest thoughts on her diagnosis and recent surgery, revealing she doesn't "like sitting down".
"Cons (These are very honest/some are silly): Not being able to be the Mum I'm used to being and not picking sky up or the person I'm used to being tbh. I don't sit down ever. lol," she added.
"The fear of not knowing if the cancer is all gone - the mental with this is [foggy face emoji]. The pain and discomfort is ok and expected but a dickhead when I'm trying to sleep. Sneezing is a myth - that hurts. Not pooing from the anaesthetic and the painkillers. I just wanna poooooo."
Jessie continued to talk about being "backed up" in her next Instagram Stories, writing: "Since my surgery I have only been on paracetamol and ibuprofen because my blood pressure is too low for anything stronger and even they have got me backed up like N old chimney.
"I have had laxatives, a good fresh diet, prunes, juices, and your girl is 20% leg and 80% [poo emoji]. Any suggestions welcomed."
Jessie performed at the Summertime Ball a couple of weekends back, where she told the 80,000 strong audience that this would be the last performance before her surgery. She said: "Today, this show is my last show before I go to beat breast cancer! So it's so special to me you have no idea. I feel so special to be from the UK, to be an honest person and say how you feel.
"This is my last show before go treatment and all the things It's the most special thing and I'm so grateful for this life, for you guys, for my career, to my, my son. My partner, my parents. My family, my band, my crew."
She added: "We are so lucky, we have so much to live for, so much joy, so much, so many things to do."
Jessie made the announcement about her diagnosis in a video shared with fans online. She told them: "I was diagnosed with early breast cancer. Cancer sucks in any form, but I'm holding on to the word 'early'."

Love Island first look as Emily learns the truth and Alima has some strong words for Remell

Tonight's episode of Love Island is filled with drama, tears and revelations as the Islanders return for the sleepover villa Last night's episode of Love Island delivered high drama as Maya Jama made her highly anticipated return to the ITV villa, bringing game-changing news for the Islanders at the sleepover villa. As Emily, Helena, Dejon and Remell faced the crucial decision to either stick with their current partners in the main villa or twist for someone new, the outcome saw four Islanders - Shae, Will, Caprice and Poppy - sent home, officially ending their journey on the show. ‌ The biggest twist came when Remell opted to remain coupled with Alima, despite forming a connection with Poppy. The unexpected choice left not only Poppy stunned, but the rest of his fellow Islanders. ‌ As we wait to see the fall out of Remell's actions, here is a sneak peek into tonight's episode of Love Island... Helena, Giorgio, Emily, Dejon and Remell return from the sleepover villa to much anticipation. It doesn't take long for Remell to pull Alima for a chat at the fire pit, hoping for clarity or maybe a second chance. But Alima is quick to set the tone, making it clear where she stands. Alima states: 'I just hope you know that it's done between us. At this point I want to try and be civil…there's no going back.' Caught off guard, Remell responds: 'So you don't want to hear what I have to say?' ‌ Although Alima doesn't hold back, voicing her frustration: "This is why I was struggling to open up to you…why did you have to share a bed with her?" With emotions running high, Alima ends the conversation and walks off leaving Remell to spend the night alone on the day bed. ‌ The next morning, still unhappy with how their conversation played out, Remell opens up to Dejon, saying: "on the outside I would've ghosted her by now.' Now the question lingers - does Remell regret not bringing Poppy back to the Villa? Meanwhile Emily wastes no time pulling Conor for a chat, hoping to clear the air. Instead he reveals that he shared a kiss with Megan on the terrace while Emily was away. ‌ 'That's quite intense... " Emily says, visibly taken aback. "I thought Megan was more into Tommy to the point where she wouldn't have done that…" Conor admits: 'My head has been with her [Megan].' ‌ Emily, clearly hurt, responds: "I wouldn't have cared about the kiss…the words 'while you were away my head was with her' pushes me out of the equation.' Later in the evening, Conor informs Emily that he and Megan will be spending the night in the hideaway together. Afterwards, Emily, confides in Tommy and Harry, saying: 'I don't expect anything from him, but from her [Megan], I would've expected more.' ‌ Conor and Megan share a kiss in the hideaway and Conor gives her his bracelet - a symbolic step forward. The next day, love is clearly in the air as Toni and Harrison are given the opportunity to go on a date. The pair head to pick strawberries, and Harrison opens up to Toni, saying: "I always say I like a fiery, direct girl and you tick both those boxes for sure.' Toni beams back: 'I'm happy with you so far. I like that we don't compare ourselves to anyone in the Villa… Things are going well between us.' ‌ Seems like everything is going berry well for Harrison and Toni. Elsewhere in the Villa, whispers grow louder. Ben confides in the boys that he's not feeling his connection with Yasmin, and when Dejon shares the news with Meg - on the condition she keeps it quiet - the secret doesn't stay secret for long. ‌ Meg gives Yasmin a heads-up, and that night Ben pulls her for a chat. 'I feel like we went from 0 to 100 real quick and I'm going to be taking a step back," he reveals. Yasmin later fills Toni in on what went down, and Toni gives her some advice: 'Someone needs to give Ben a piece of their mind and you're the perfect one." Encouraged by Toni's words, Yasmin confronts Ben and things quickly turn sour.

Cruz Beckham publicly supports 'sad' mum Victoria after Brooklyn's hurtful snub

Cruz Beckham has publicly shown support for his mother, Victoria Beckham, amid ongoing rumours of a rift between the Beckham family and his older brother, Brooklyn, and sister-in-law, Nicola Peltz Cruz Beckham is standing firmly by his mother, Victoria Beckham, amid renewed whispers of family tension - specifically surrounding his older brother, Brooklyn Beckham. Victoria, 51, recently hosted an exclusive launch event in London for Isabel Rutman's new jewellery line. Joining her were Cruz, 20, and his girlfriend, Jackie Apostel. Victoria looked effortlessly chic in a black lace skirt, coordinating top, and a sharp oversized blazer. Jackie, 29, opted for a laid-back double-denim outfit, while Cruz showed off a relaxed style in loose jeans paired with a Dior button-down shirt. The event - and Cruz's presence - has drawn fresh attention due to swirling rumours of ongoing strain between the Beckhams and Brooklyn, the eldest son, as well as his wife, Nicola Peltz. While tensions reportedly began during the couple's wedding preparations, and appeared to settle for a time, signs of distance have re-emerged in recent months. Brooklyn and Nicola have been consistently absent from several key family gatherings. Notably, they skipped Victoria's Paris Fashion Week show, a major moment in her fashion career. They were also missing from both David and Victoria's birthday celebrations. Adding further fuel to the fire, Brooklyn failed to publicly acknowledge his father on Father's Day and stayed silent when David received his knighthood - two occasions where the rest of the family showed their support. The situation has only been heightened by cryptic activity online. One notable moment occurred on TikTok, where Cruz fired back at a commenter who seemed to question his career path. 'Are you going to stick with this job or going to become a race car driver next or something?' the user asked. But Cruz didn't hold back, responding: 'Wrong brother mate,' a pointed jab at Brooklyn's famously shifting career pursuits, which have ranged from photography to cooking to aspiring to be a footballer. While family dynamics appear increasingly strained, Brooklyn and Nicola continue to project an image of unity and luxury. The pair are often seen travelling, attending high-end events, and posting affectionate photos on social media. Most recently, Brooklyn marked a milestone in their relationship by sharing a sweet message on Instagram for the anniversary of his proposal. 'It's been 5 years since I asked this beautiful woman to marry me,' he captioned a photo of Nicola kissing him on the cheek. 'Best decision ever x I love you so much.'

Mirror Daily Digest: Top stories from weather warnings to A-listers' split

In this Thursday's Mirror Daily Digest, we've pulled together the biggest stories of the day from Katy Perry and Orlando Bloom's 'split', to William and Kate being targeted by activists Welcome to the Mirror's Daily Digest, where we pull together all the best stories of the day from our News, Showbiz, Sport teams and more. This Thursday, we're featuring everything from Katy Perry and Orlando Bloom's rumoured 'split', to the upcoming 35C scorcher bound for the UK. Katy Perry and Orlando Bloom 'SPLIT' after nine-year relationship ‌ Early this morning, our Showbiz team reported that Katy Perry and Orlando Bloom have 'split' after nearly a decade of their on–off relationship. ‌ The couple have seen ups and downs since they first dated in 2016, having gone Instagram official in May 2016 when Katy shared a funny photo of herself and Orlando dressed in bathrobes on the steps of the Hotel du Cap-Eden-Roc in Cannes, France. They dated for a little over a year before calling it quits in early 2017, but they soon got back together in 2018 and announced their engagement in 2019 before moving in together that same year. Her ring consists of a ruby in the middle surrounded by eight white diamonds in a floral pattern. Nearly 20 kids hurt in 'terrifying' river plunge as 'avoid area' warning issued Our UK News team reported just after noon that more than a dozen children have been injured after a double decker bus plunged into a river in a terrifying crash. Five people have been taken to hospital by ambulance - including the driver - and people were asked to avoid the area after the sixth form college bus left the road near Eastleigh in Hampshire. Around 14 children, with less serious injuries, were treated at the scene. ‌ Inspector Andy Tester, of Hampshire Constabulary, said: 'It must have been terrifying and my thoughts are very much with what the children and the driver on the bus, who must have had a terrifying experience.' UK weather maps turn a dark red as more thunderstorms to brutally end 35C scorcher ‌ Striking weather maps have shown widespread downpours and storms are set to end the UK's next sizzling heatwave. Temperatures were so warm - and for a prolonged enough period of time - that a heatwave was officially recognised over the past week. The mercury hit 32.2C in west London on Thursday, the hottest day of the year so far. Forecasters have confirmed more scorching weather - with highs of 35C - is on the cards, but it now appears this spell will be short-lived. A band of low pressure will send temperatures falling by Wednesday July 2 and, with it, will come thunderstorms and rain. The heaviest downpours are likely across mid and south Wales, and parts of the Midlands throughout Wednesday night and into Thursday morning. ‌ Kate Middleton and Prince William attacked by activists with 'ridiculous' pet complaint This afternoon, our Royal team shared the story that the Prince and Princess of Wales have been targeted by animal rights activists who have called them "out of touch" for breeding their pet dog. ‌ Campaigners from the outspoken group People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) criticised the couple for "churning out a litter" saying that there are already dogs at animal shelters needing new homes. To mark Prince William's birthday last week, a new picture of him surrounded by Orla and her puppies, taken by Kate, was released to mark the occasion. The previously unseen photo was accompanied with the message: "Happy birthday! Love C, G, C, L, Orla and the puppies" - with the initials referring to the fact it was a private message from Kate, Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis. But Peta suggests that rather than breeding their dog, the royal couple should have adopted a pet, in the same way the King and Queen took in their latest dog, Moley, from Battersea Dog and Cats Home. ‌ Everyone told to keep £400 in cash at home - with HMRC warning With digital fraud hitting record highs and banking outages becoming more frequent, many people are reconsidering keeping cash at home. The Bank of England has recently seen an increase in banknotes circulating despite fewer cash transactions, as households build safety nets amid economic uncertainty and recent cyber-attacks on businesses. Yet most have no idea how much is actually safe to store at home. Fred Harrington, CEO of Proxy Coupons, says he has seen how digital vulnerabilities affect financial habits. Fred said: 'The key is finding that sweet spot where you have enough cash to handle a real emergency, but not so much that you're creating bigger problems for yourself. Most people either go overboard or don't think about it at all.'
