Celebrity Big Brother twist as Chris Hughes and Chesney Hawkes evicted together

Daily Mirror25-04-2025
Celebrity Big Brother has come to an end with a tense final, which saw Chris Hughes as the first of the finalists to be evicted from the house on Friday night. While Chris heard many boos during Tuesday's evictions, he remained positive as he waited for the hosts announcements.
Not long after Chris was announced as the first star to leave on the final, AJ Odudu and Will Best went straight into fifth place announcements as Chesney Hawkes was evicted to chants of 'Chezzatron!' Only one house can be crowned the winner of the 2025 series after a few incredible weeks of tears, laughs, controversial moments and uncomfortable friendships.

On Friday evening, CBB fans watched as AJ Odudu and Will Best hosted for the final time this series, with only six housemates remaining following Tuesday's triple eviction.
Soap star Jack P Shepherd, Drag Queen Danny Beard, Love Island's Chris Hughes, singer Chesney Hawkes, dancer JoJo Siwa, and comedian Donna Preston were the finalists, having remained safe in the public votes.
The first person to be evicted from the house was Tory MP Michael Fabricant. Not long after, Hollywood actor Mickey Rourke was kicked out of the house following his aggressive behaviour towards Chris.
He also shocked fans over his homophobic comments at JoJo, fatphobic comments to Donna, sexual innuendos to Ella Rae Wise and rude comments to Patsy Palmer.
When it came to the next eviction, Trisha Goddard was voted out. Before Daley Thompson left, he made a comment about the "game players" of the house, leaving Ella conflicted.
Earlier this week, a huge twist saw three stars evicted from the house. On Triple Tuesday, Angellica Bell, Ella Rae Wise and Patsy Palmer walked out the doors to greet AJ and Will after weeks being monitored.
Last year's CBB series saw David Potts be crowned the winner, with Nikita Kuzmin coming in second place and Colson Smith in third.

Fate of Celebrity Big Brother revealed by ITV after scandal-ridden series - and it's bad news for fans

The future of Celebrity Big Brother has been revealed following the latest scandal-ridden series, and it doesn't bring great news for fans. ITV boss Kevin Lygo confirmed on Thursday that both Big Brother and Celebrity Big Brother will be back on ITV beyond 2025 - but it won't be on the main channel. The ITV Studios managing director branded the much-loved celebrity spin-off 'a really crucial and important show' which 'does a tremendous job for us'. Yet, bosses have now considered the series 'not on the proper [ITV1] channel' for its celebrity version. 'It is difficult to book big celebrities, which is what we need on the main channel. You can go more interesting and a bit more niche on ITVX and ITV2. He finished assuring: 'Yes, it will be coming back.' While this year's CBB saw Coronation Street's Jack P Shepherd crowned champion, the show's highest-paid signing Mickey Rourke made the most headlines, sparking huge backlash when he made a homophobic comment to housemate JoJo Siwa. The Hollywood star was set to be paid a reported £500,000 for his time on the show, but he saw his fee reduced when he was later removed from the house for 'unnacceptable behaviour' towards housemate Chris Hughes. CBB finalist JoJo Siwa recently gushed that her boyfriend and co-star Chris Hughes is 'the brightest light in her life' after he took a huge step with her family. The couple cemented their relationship in May after meeting in the Celebrity Big Brother house in April, and have since documented their loved-up trips together on social media. And on Tuesday, JoJo shared an update on her relationship with her man, revealing 'it's going very well'. Appearing on Loose Women, the Dance Moms star, 22, said: 'He's the brightest light in my life, he's the thing that makes me the happiest.' Janet Street-Porter then asked what her family thought of Chris, with JoJo revealing: 'Oh, my mum absolutely adores him. 'My dad and he are best friends, my brother just asked him to be a groomsman in his wedding. 'My family has never loved somebody like this, like ever.' JoJo also recently revealed her plans to start a family 'aren't that far away,' as her romance with Chris heats up. After travelling to the UK to promote her new song Raspy, JoJo has told The Sun that she 'craves' motherhood in the future. She was previously forced to deny speculation she was pregnant after the wild theory circulated on TikTok. Asked whether she still wants children, she said: 'I crave them, I absolutely would love to have babies, it's absolutely in my future and I don't think it's that far away. 'I'm at a place in my life where my career by no means is slowing down, but my career is at a point where it works and it runs and I know how to do everything that I'm doing and I'm not learning anything new, so I'm at a great place with that. 'Obviously I have a great boy in my life, there's a lot of things to happen before then, but definitely want kids.' During the interview, JoJo also hinted that she and Chris have plans for a holiday together this autumn, after the star wraps her Infinity Heart tour in October. JoJo previously poked fun at rumours that she was pregnant in June after a loved-up TikTok video with boyfriend Chris sent fans wild with speculation. She asked her fans to play the game '2 truths & a lie' - before she read out three statements, one being a lie and the other two being truthful. She then said: '1. I've never smoked a [cigarette] 2. I'm pregnant 3. This song comes out on Spotify Friday.' JoJo was playing into online speculation that she could be expecting after Chris gently rubbed his finger over her tummy during a recent TikTok video.

In the past, a number of popular contestants have cashed in with their own edits and collections for Pretty Little Thing, but this year the retailer will not be working with an islander. 5 Shakira might have been a huge hit on the show - but she won't be getting a PLT deal Credit: Splash 5 Helena is another girl who will miss out on the brand deal Credit: Splash 5 Viewers made a number of jokes about Meg trying to get a deal An insider said: 'It's a huge blow for the islanders this year, but PLT just aren't interested. 'They have had a huge rebrand recently and while there's no doubt they have made millions off the likes of Molly-Mae in the past, they will be doing things differently." Molly famously ended up as creative director for PLT after impressing bosses so much. Gemma Owen also signed a hefty deal with them off the back of her series and Ella Thomas, Grace Jackson and Uma Jammeh all worked with them too. Throughout this series, which was won by Toni and Cach, viewers made numerous references to the girls trying to land a deal - in particular Meg and Helena. But their fallout with Shakira and her gang, made people question what deals they would get. One person remarked: 'I wonder if Irish Meg will keep distance from the mean girls now she has seen what the public think of them. That PLT deal won't sign itself sis.' Another said: 'Meg just watched her PLT deal blow up in front of her. Dejon you bad boy.' While a third added: 'Helena is OBSESSED with Shakira omfg, somebody tell Helena she ain't getting that PLT deal from Shakira no matter how hard she tries I beg'. Molly-Mae had long had an affiliation with the brand having secured a big-money deal with the Manchester based retailer following her exit from Love Island. Molly Mae cruelly mum-shamed after quitting £5m PLT job to concentrate on baby Bambi However, she shocked fans when she announced that she would be stepping down from her reported £5million-a-year role as Creative Director in order to focus on motherhood. In June 2023, Molly confirmed that she had quit her mega-money fashion job. She was paid a reported £400,000 per month. In March of this year returning CEO Umar Kamani threw his 'A Legacy in Progress' Party at the Caviar Kaspia in Paris. A string of A-list stars attended, including supermodel Naomi Campbell, actress and model Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, actor Ed Westwick, boxing champion Anthony Joshua, socialite Cindy Bruna, and fashion influencer Leonie Hanne all graced the event. A Legacy in Progress marked a pivotal moment in PrettyLittleThing's ongoing transformation. He said at the time: 'People talk about the old PLT.
