Ceremony honoring 120 people with disabilities in Sana'a

Sana'a - Saba:
A ceremony honoring 120 people with disabilities was held in Sana'a on Thursday, organized by the Social Welfare Sector of the Ministry of Social Affairs , Labor and the National Federation of Yemeni Disabled Associations, in cooperation with the Handicap Organization and the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC).
The event was held on the occasion of the National, Arab and International Day for Persons with Disabilities under the slogan "We Complete each other".
Culture and Tourism Minister Dr. Ali Qassim Al-Yafei affirmed the interest and support of the revolutionary leadership, the Supreme Political Council , the government of change and construction for this important segment of society.
For his part, Assistant Undersecretary of the Social Welfare Sector at the Ministry of Social Affairs and Labor, Yasser Sharafuddin, stressed the importance of promoting the rights of people with disabilities and integrating them into society.
Dr. Abdullah Bunyan, President of the National Federation of Associations for the Disabled, explained that the honoring ceremony comes in light of the direction of the leadership of people with disabilities to move from the usual ceremonies to honoring the results of which are touched by people with disabilities.
While Handicap Organization's Inclusive Humanitarian Work Specialist Lama Qutaish pointed out the organization's contribution and support to the disabled segment through local partners.

Sana'a - Saba: The Ministry of Culture and Tourism, through the Fine Arts Sector at the Sana'a Gallery, organized a training workshop in drawing and fine art, funded by the Heritage and Cultural Development Fund. The workshop targeted 50 participating artists, students, and talented individuals. The workshop included training in sculpture, oil painting, and pencil drawing, and aimed to develop the artistic and creative skills of the participants and introduce them to various fine art techniques and materials. Minister of Culture Dr. Ali Al-Yafei emphasized the importance of these workshops in honing talents and strengthening the connection of creativity to national identity and the nation's issues, most notably the Palestinian cause. He affirmed the ministry's readiness to support talented individuals with all available resources. Sector officials also emphasized that the workshop provided a space for exchanging experiences, featuring more than 50 artworks ranging from painting to Arabic calligraphy and sculpture. Sana'a - Saba: The Assistant Undersecretary for Services and Welfare Sector at the Ministry of Social Affairs and Labor - Executive Director of the National Program to Address the Phenomenon of Begging, Yasser Sharafuddin, discussed the organization's projects for the year 2025 in Yemen during his meeting today with Child Welfare International Country Director Mohammed Manna. The meeting discussed protection activities for street children at risk, children in contact with the law, and juveniles in social guidance houses in the provinces. Sharafuddin pointed out the importance of the partnership with the organization to protect children and support the sustainable living projects implemented by the national program to address the phenomenon of begging, through economic empowerment, education, training and rehabilitation For his part, the Country Director of the Child Welfare Organization stressed the importance of the partnership with the National Program to Address the Phenomenon of Begging, and the interventions it carries out regarding child begging, pointing out the projects implemented by the organization to protect children who are in contact with the law.
