Bulls Reportedly Offered Josh Giddey Four-Year, $80 Million Deal

Bulls Reportedly Offered Josh Giddey Four-Year, $80 Million Deal originally appeared on Fadeaway World. The Chicago Bulls' offseason has featured only a handful of storylines, with one of them being the re-signing of their guard, Josh Giddey. As a restricted free agent, Giddey has faced some challenges in securing a new contract. But NBA insider Jake Fischer recently shed more light on the situation. Fischer claimed that the Bulls had offered Giddey a four-year deal, worth $80 million. He wrote: "League sources say that the Bulls made an offer of $80 million over four years to restricted free agent Josh Giddey when the offseason commenced on June 30. Giddey, of course, is seeking an annual salary in the $30 million range. Chicago has been anchored in the $20 million range in annual value ever since its original offer." The offer presented by Chicago is the standard deal for most restricted free agents this season, except for rare cases like Cam Thomas. The general figure of $20 million a year appears to be the trend. Unfortunately, this is not something that Giddey appears to be interested in. It is a widely known fact that the Bulls guard has been seeking a deal that amounts to a rough estimate of $30 million a year. Given the state of most teams concerning the luxury tax aprons, franchises have been hesitant to make an offer of this nature. This has resulted in prolonged negotiations with neither side willing to budge. Considering that no deal has been signed, it is evident that Giddey isn't satisfied with the Bulls' offer. This leaves the door open for potential trade discussions. Recent reports have suggested that the Golden State Warriors could be inclined to trade for Giddey. The Warriors could trade Jonathan Kuminga for the Bulls guard, allowing the Dubs to add a multifaceted playmaker. Given the Warriors' predicaments involving their restricted free agent, there may be some roadblocks. In the overall sense, however, acquiring Giddey could be in Golden State's best interests. At 6'8" and only 22 years old, Giddey is an extremely talented guard. Given his expansive offensive skill set, he is sure to bring a lot of versatility and creativity to the table. Last season, the Bulls guard recorded an average of 14.6 points, 8.1 rebounds, and 7.2 assists, while shooting 46.5% from the field and 37.8% from three-point range. While the interest from the Warriors appears to be genuine, the Bulls may also wish to invest in retaining a player like him. Although the franchise doesn't have a direction at the moment, Chicago has the potential to improve. Featuring a young core, with players like Matas Buzelis and Coby White, the Bulls would benefit from retaining Giddey to develop into a competitive side in the story was originally reported by Fadeaway World on Aug 11, 2025, where it first appeared.

2025 USC Football Predictions: Trojans Ranked 26th in RJ Young's Ultimate 136

College Football 2025 USC Football Predictions: Trojans Ranked 26th in RJ Young's Ultimate 136 Published Aug. 10, 2025 10:27 p.m. ET share facebook x reddit link This isn't your average college football ranking. My Ultimate 136 is a set of rankings that is fluid, but it's my job to look ahead and make a claim for all FBS teams based on what I know and why I know it. Here are the three pressing questions I started by asking when putting together this list: Who do I think is good? Why do I think they're good? What are the chances they will finish above or below my expectations? Here is a look at where USC lands in my Ultimate 136. USC ranking: 26 Last year's ranking: 17 Top player: WR Makai Lemon: Recorded 764 receiving yards along with 514 kick return yards, ranking 10th among all Big Ten players in all-purpose yards (1,278); his eight receptions of 30-plus yards ranked fifth in the Big Ten. [USC's 2025 schedule] RJ's take: Lincoln Riley returns Jayden Maiava, who threw for 1,201 yards, 11 TDs and six INTs in four games last season. He bombarded Notre Dame for 360 passing yards and led a comeback win against Texas A&M in the Las Vegas Bowl. ADVERTISEMENT USC's 4-5 start last year could've easily been a 9-0 start if just half-a-dozen plays went the other way. The Trojans could've been the team we talked about like we did Indiana, who made the CFP before USC did. And that, like everything you upload to the Internet, really is forever. This season, the Trojans won't have to play against Ohio State, Penn State or the aforementioned Hoosiers. They go to Purdue, Illinois, Nebraska and Oregon for Big Ten games, so the travel across two time zones might cost them one or two games. [Check out RJ Young's Ultimate 136 College Football Rankings here] USC Win Total Odds: Over 7.5 (-158) Under 7.5 (+128) Have an issue with my rankings? What are the chances they will finish above or below my expectations? Here is a look at where Troy lands in my Ultimate 136. Troy ranking: 89 Last year's ranking: 50 Top player: S Devin Lafayette: In five collegiate seasons, has totaled 175 total tackles, 4 forced fumbles and 2 interceptions; had 10 QB pressures as a hybrid safety/linebacker for Troy last season. [Troy's 2025 schedule] RJ's take: Quarterback Goose Crowder has at least one wideout I trust to make plays in former Georgia receiver Rara Thomas. Given a chance, there's a quality duo out there for Gerald Parker's Trojans. But after winning back-to-back Sun Belt titles in 2022 and 2023, Troy might be entering a lull after a portal raid that has left Parker with a bunch of talented but unproven transfers of his own. ADVERTISEMENT Here's hoping a tandem of former SEC safeties in Steven Sannieniola (Vanderbilt) and David Daniel-Sisavanh (Georgia) can help keep a lid on the end zone.
