Mohd Na'im shared the prime minister's appreciation on Facebook, urging all involved to maintain their hard work and sincerity for the country.
He extended congratulations to Malaysian Islamic Development Department (Jakim) director-general Datuk Dr Sirajuddin Suhaimee and the organising committee for their efforts.
'The dedication and sacrifices of everyone involved are noble deeds, deserving of Allah SWT's abundant rewards,' he said.
Malaysia celebrated victories in both male and female Quran recitation categories at the Kuala Lumpur World Trade Centre event.
Aiman Ridhwan Mohamad Ramlan secured first place in the qari category with a score of 97.01 per cent.
Indonesia's Ahmad Azroi Hasibuan and Turkiye's Muhammed Yahya Yildizhan followed in second and third place respectively.
Wan Sofea Aini Wan Mohd Zahidi triumphed in the qariah category, scoring 95.88 per cent.
Morocco's Fatima Zahra Assafar and Indonesia's Nur Rahmiyatin Adhya placed second and third in the same category.
The competition, held from August 2, showcased Malaysia's excellence in Quranic recitation. - Bernama

KOTA BARU: All federal and state government agencies as well as Madani communities across the nation have been urged to take a more proactive role in fostering patriotism by flying the Jalur Gemilang at their premises in conjunction with National Month. "The responsibility of flying the Jalur Gemilang must be shared and embraced by all levels of society," he told Bernama after the flagging off of the 2025 Kembara Merdeka Jalur Gemilang (KMJG) convoy at Politeknik Kota Baru on Monday (Aug 11), officiated by National Kenaf and Tobacco Board chairman Datuk Seri Md Alwi Che Ahmad. The convoy began its journey on Sunday (Aug 10) from Kolej Komuniti Jeli. It then proceeded to Tanah Merah, Pasir Mas, Kota Baru, concluding the ride in Machang before handing over the Jalur Gemilang to the Terengganu KMJG convoy. KMJG 2025 is part of the initiative to enliven the National Month and Malaysia Day celebrations, themed Malaysia Madani: Rakyat Disantuni, in line with the nation's leadership vision rooted in the values of humanity, social well-being, and justice. – Bernama

Ahmad Tasnim sole Techno-Huffaz graduate at PSA polytechnic
SHAH ALAM: Ahmad Tasnim Fathullah Ahmad Hafidz emerged as the sole graduate of the Techno-Huffaz programme at Politeknik Sultan Salahuddin Abdul Aziz Shah (PSA). He completed the five-semester Quranic memorisation course after 10 of his peers dropped out due to various challenges. Ahmad Tasnim, who also earned a Diploma in Electronic Communication Engineering, admitted feeling disheartened as his friends withdrew one by one. 'Initially, 11 students enrolled, but by the fourth semester, nine dropped the subject, and one failed the fifth-semester exams,' he said. Balancing Techno-Huffaz with academic studies was tough, but parental support kept him motivated. He spoke after receiving his certificate at PSA's 26th convocation ceremony at Dewan Al-Jazari. Adapting to PSA's environment as a new student three years ago posed additional challenges for him and his peers. The Techno-Huffaz programme requires students to manage both technical studies and Quranic memorisation, including tajwid and recitation. Ahmad Tasnim plans to pursue a bachelor's degree in Medical Electronic Engineering at PSA. He is open to mentoring future Techno-Huffaz students interested in the programme. Launched in 2017, Techno-Huffaz is a collaboration between PSA, JAKIM, and Darul Quran to produce holistic technocrat huffaz. To date, 16 graduates have earned both a polytechnic diploma and JAKIM's Tahfiz Al-Quran certification. Nineteen new students have enrolled for the 2025/2026 session. The 22-year-old from Pasir Mas, Kelantan, was among 937 graduates honoured at PSA's convocation. Since 1997, PSA has produced 44,509 graduates. National Day: Patriotism in the air as homes, offices and business premises start flying the Jalur Gemilang
KUALA LUMPUR — August is a month that oozes with the spirit of patriotism, where citizens are encouraged to decorate their homes, offices, and vehicles with the Jalur Gemilang (the Malaysian flag) as a sign of love for the country. With 21 days left until the National Day 2025 celebration, people across the country have already started flying the Jalur Gemilang, the national symbol. A Bernama survey in Kampung Baru, located in the heart of the capital, and at Perumahan Awam Sri Perak, Sentul, found that residents have installed the Jalur Gemilang at their homes to join in the National Month celebration. Moving on to Dataran Merdeka, the atmosphere of the National Day celebration is already palpable, as the area is filled with Jalur Gemilang decorations and various patriotic-themed displays. IN MELAKA, the Jalur Gemilang has started to fly along main roads like Jalan Hang Tuah, Jalan Tun Sri Lanang, Jalan Bendahara, and Jalan Laksamana, thanks to initiatives from the local authorities. Several hotels, private hospitals, and tourist locations have also joined the effort to liven up the National Month celebration, while fewer flags were seen at most residential areas and business premises. The patriotic atmosphere is also increasingly being felt in Kuantan, PAHANG, where the Jalur Gemilang and the Pahang flag are proudly flying along main roads, at business premises, and on government administration buildings in anticipation of the National Month celebration. The Kuantan City Council has also launched the Jalur Gemilang and Pahang State Flag-Hoisting Program from July 25 to September 16 to encourage participation of residents. A retired government official, Sallehuddin Yaakob Rahman, 62, said he intends to install the Jalur Gemilang at his home, but his current flag is worn out. He plans to replace it before National Day on August 31. 'God willing, I will change it to a new one before Merdeka Day, so that we can all help to liven up the atmosphere,' he said. IN KEDAH, the patriotic 'war' of the Jalur Gemilang can also be felt as premises and residential homes in the areas around Kota Setar, Pendang, and Yan districts have begun installing flags. Tan Chin Eng, 62, from Yan, said he usually installs the flag every time the National Month arrives. 'I will try to install it before the celebration day. I've noticed that some premises and houses in this area have started putting up flags since August 1, but there are still many that haven't,' he said. Civil servant Nur Syahirah Azlan, 34, from Kota Setar said she had already installed three Jalur Gemilang flags in front of her house as a symbol of patriotism. 'Every year, my husband and I install the flags, and they stay flying until Malaysia Day. But what I see is that many people still don't fly flags. Maybe because it's not compulsory, they don't care much, but they should at least fly one flag as a sign of love for the country,' she said.
