'Initially, 11 students enrolled, but by the fourth semester, nine dropped the subject, and one failed the fifth-semester exams,' he said.
Balancing Techno-Huffaz with academic studies was tough, but parental support kept him motivated.
He spoke after receiving his certificate at PSA's 26th convocation ceremony at Dewan Al-Jazari.
Adapting to PSA's environment as a new student three years ago posed additional challenges for him and his peers.
The Techno-Huffaz programme requires students to manage both technical studies and Quranic memorisation, including tajwid and recitation.
Ahmad Tasnim plans to pursue a bachelor's degree in Medical Electronic Engineering at PSA.
He is open to mentoring future Techno-Huffaz students interested in the programme.
Launched in 2017, Techno-Huffaz is a collaboration between PSA, JAKIM, and Darul Quran to produce holistic technocrat huffaz.
To date, 16 graduates have earned both a polytechnic diploma and JAKIM's Tahfiz Al-Quran certification.
Nineteen new students have enrolled for the 2025/2026 session.
The 22-year-old from Pasir Mas, Kelantan, was among 937 graduates honoured at PSA's convocation.
Since 1997, PSA has produced 44,509 graduates.
PSA director Zainah Rujihan and Panasonic's Datuk Moktar Mohd Salleh attended as guests of honour. - Bernama

PM praises MTQHA management, Mohd Na'im urges continued dedication
KUALA LUMPUR: Minister in the Prime Minister's Department (Religious Affairs), Datuk Dr Mohd Na'im Mokhtar, revealed that Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim praised the management of the 65th International Quran Recitation and Memorisation Competition (MTQHA). The event concluded successfully yesterday with a significant impact on the nation. Mohd Na'im shared the prime minister's appreciation on Facebook, urging all involved to maintain their hard work and sincerity for the country. He extended congratulations to Malaysian Islamic Development Department (Jakim) director-general Datuk Dr Sirajuddin Suhaimee and the organising committee for their efforts. 'The dedication and sacrifices of everyone involved are noble deeds, deserving of Allah SWT's abundant rewards,' he said. Malaysia celebrated victories in both male and female Quran recitation categories at the Kuala Lumpur World Trade Centre event. Aiman Ridhwan Mohamad Ramlan secured first place in the qari category with a score of 97.01 per cent. Indonesia's Ahmad Azroi Hasibuan and Turkiye's Muhammed Yahya Yildizhan followed in second and third place respectively. KUALA LUMPUR: Malaysia achieved a historic double triumph at the 65th International Al-Quran Recitation and Memorisation Assembly (MTHQA), securing top honours in both the men's and women's Tilawah categories. Aiman Ridhwan Mohamad Ramlan claimed the men's qari title with an impressive score of 97.01%, outperforming competitors from Indonesia and Turkey. Wan Sofea Aini Wan Mohd Zahidi brought equal pride to the nation by winning the women's qariah division with 95.88%, leaving reciters from Morocco and Indonesia in her wake. Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim presented awards during the closing ceremony at Kuala Lumpur's World Trade Centre, attended by prominent religious and political figures. The memorisation categories saw international participants shine, with Germany's Usamah Barghouth leading the men's division at 98.25% and Syria's Tasneem Arian Omar topping the women's section with 97.5%. Malaysian contestant Putri Auni Khadijah secured second place in women's memorisation with 96.75%, demonstrating the country's strong Quranic tradition across competition formats.
