Who directed it?
Taking the helm is acclaimed writer-director Rebecca Miller, whose work includes the films Angela, The Private Lives of Pippa Lee, and Personal Velocity: Three Portraits, which won the 2002 Grand Jury Prize at Sundance Film Festival.

'I was honored he trusted me to create this documentary, which I believe will resonate with everyone from dedicated Scorsese fans to anyone who has grappled with failure and reached for stars. I'm excited to share a sneak peek of Mr. Scorsese, which includes the true version of a mythic (a never-before-told) story about Taxi Driver, and how thanks to Marty's perseverance and dedication to his art, the film retained its integrity and went on to become one of the most culturally significant films of all time.'

The biggest revelations from Taylor Swift's 2-hour podcast debut
Taylor Swift's two-hour podcast debut, on boyfriend Travis Kelce's 'New Heights,' was chock-full of sweet nothings and tales from the stars' love story as well as other peeks behind the curtain of the world's busiest showgirl. The highly anticipated episode of Kelce's podcast with big brother Jason dropped Wednesday evening and, as of Thursday morning, has been viewed over 9.5 million times. Here are the biggest revelations shared by the 35-year-old Grammy winner outside of announcing her 12th studio album, 'The Life of a Showgirl.' Easter eggs only ever nod to the professional. Swifties know all too well that the 'cardigan' crooner has a penchant for dispensing clues to fans through every available avenue — be it day-to-day fashion, lyrics and music video visuals. But, contrary to the hopes of Swift's ardent fans, she clarified that she'll only ever lay so-called Easter eggs to refer to music or other projects, never her personal life. She did confirm that the orange door she walked through on the last night of the Eras Tour was indeed a nod to the color scheme of 'The Life of a Showgirl.' Swift recorded her upcoming album between Eras Tour shows. Swift didn't come out of her hiatus to record her upcoming album. Rather, she reunited with 'Red' and '1989' collaborators Max Martin and Shellback in Sweden amid the European leg of the Eras Tour to do so. Swift confirmed that it was an 'electric' time in her life — probably as much to do with the record-breaking tour as her then-nascent relationship with Kelce — and the album reflects just that. Swift's parents are both recovering from surgery. Both Scott and Andrea Swift are nicely recovering from what Swift joked were 'upgrades' this summer. The pop star's father underwent a quintuple bypass and is sprightly as ever — even if he did spend crucial recovery hours FaceTiming friends instead of sleeping, per the doctor's orders — while her mom got a knee replacement and is similarly on the mend, though maybe with less zest. Swift and Kelce all but confirmed they live together, multiple times. Swift and the Kansas City Chiefs tight end, also 35, repeatedly referred to hearing each other from across the house or the other room, including when Swift finally regained the masters of her first six albums. She recalls the Super Bowl champ was playing video games when she called out for him, announced the happy news and collapsed into his arms. The battle for the masters was a family affair. Swift detailed the intricacies of trying to buy her masters, a years-long plight that used to be a daily 'intrusive thought.' Though not necessarily a priority for all artists, Swift said procuring full ownership has always been a goal of hers and now that she finally achieved that earlier this year — thanks to her mom and brother appealing to the venture capital firm, Shamrock — she's grateful every day. Swift lurks on sourdough bread blogs The pop superstar revealed that she has a new baking obsession about twice a year. Now in the thick of a devotion to sourdough bread, Swift confessed that she lurks on blogs devoted to it — one upside to the internet she'll concede while saying she largely stays off social media and never reads her DMs.

Taylor Swift's economic pull makes orange the new green for big brands
Taylor Swift's upcoming album release and her love of all things orange isn't lost on her fans - or brands that are seeking a ride on what has become an enormous economic tailwind. On Wednesday after Swift went on the 'New Heights' podcast co-hosted by her boyfriend and NFL football star Travis Kelce to announce the imminent release of her 12th studio album 'The Life of a Showgirl,' major companies went into marketing overdrive. The reason? Swift's ability to generate buzz and draw dollars. Swift's tour appearances have become economic events. The singer's Eras Tour two years ago was the first such tour to cross the billion-dollar mark, according to Pollstar's 2023 year-end charts. Cities and their surrounding areas registered a sizeable economic boost after Swift appeared, with thousands of fans making the pilgrimage and spending money at hotels, restaurants and elsewhere. Companies are no longer waiting to capitalize on Swift's gravitational pull and orange-themed memes from big brands began rolling out almost immediately. That is because Swift appeared onstage wearing orange numerous times towards the end of her Eras Tour and she discussed her feelings about the color on the Wednesday podcast. Numerous corporations, from United Airlines to Olive Garden, began posting orange hued memes on their own social media accounts soon after the new album was announced. Shake Shack, FedEx, Buffalo Wild Wings, Cinnabon, Walmart and Netflix did, too. Even X got in on the action, declaring that it had a new profile pic: a glittery orange X. The post hsa garnered 5.5 million views so far. Google is using its search engine to celebrate the October release of Swift's 'The Life of a Showgirl.' Users search for 'Taylor Swift,' are greeted with a stream of orange digital confetti, along with a flaming orange heart and the phrase, 'And, baby, that's show business for you.' Many, it seemed, saw value in tying their brand to Swift. Swift mentioned during the Wednesday podcast that she had Lasik eye surgery. The X account for wasted no time promoting the fortuitous namedrop. 'i got LASIK, i have incredible vision,' they posted, accompanied by a video of Swift giving a shout out to the procedure on the 'New Heights' podcast. 'TAYLOR SWIFT EVERYONE (red heart emoji). WE'VE PEEKED!!!!!!!!' The post currently has more than 389,000 views and 15,000 likes. Sign in to access your portfolio

Snoop Dogg and Eli Roth Drop Bonkers Fake Grindhouse Horror Trailer DON'T GO IN THAT HOUSE, B*TCH! — GeekTyrant
Eli Roth's production company The Horror Section is back at it with another wild, grindhouse-style fake horror trailer, and this time it comes with a Snoop Dogg twist, and it's pretty damn funny! Titled Don't Go in That House, Bi tch!, the new fake trailer is packed with over-the-top horror movie clichés, jump scares, screaming final girls, and some ridiculous haunted house chaos. It's also got a new theme song and voiceover from Snoop Dogg. This is the second fake trailer from The Horror Section, following The Piano Killer , and both are being shown in front of Joe Begos' new sci-fi horror film Jimmy and Stiggs , hitting theaters August 15th. The trailer doesn't really bother with a plot, but that's part of the fun. It throws everything at the wall and lets the horror tropes fly. The cast includes Jenna Warren, Charlie Storey, Karen Cliche, Torianna Lee, Jordan Poole, Hayley O'Brien, Milly Brooke, Gabriel Davenport, and Dorian Giordano. While The Piano Killer might have had more of a structured story, Don't Go in That House, Bitch! makes up for it with pure chaotic energy and laughs. It's loud, absurd, and exactly the kind of WTF trailer that brings back that vintage grindhouse vibe. ''Would you go in that house?' Eli Roth is back with another outrageous grindhouse horror trailer from The Horror Section — and this time, he's bringing his friend Snoop Dogg along with him. Don't Go In That House, Bitch! is an over the top trailer that skewers all the horror movie tropes you've ever yelled at your screen. 'With Snoop Dogg lending his iconic voice and original music, this a haunted house movie idea only this duo could deliver.' Enjoy the trailer!
