Adam Carolla claims Ellen DeGeneres' staff described her as the ‘worst person'
Comedian Adam Carolla has made strong claims about Ellen DeGeneres and the working conditions on her eponymous talk show, based on his appearance 13 years ago. Carolla observed staff appearing 'scared' on set and recounted a segment producer repeatedly cautioning him against discussing specific topics. He alleges a show writer, bound by an NDA, described DeGeneres as the 'worst person I've ever met,' contrasting her set's atmosphere with more relaxed shows. These comments echo prior allegations of a toxic workplace environment on The Ellen DeGeneres Show in 2020, which led to the program's conclusion in 2022. DeGeneres addressed the workplace allegations in her Netflix special For Your Approval, stating she was content not being a 'boss or a brand' and that public opinion is not her concern.
