The teaser opens with a humorous interaction between Mohanlal's character and a non-Malayali fan of Fahadh Faasil (lovingly called 'Fafa"). When the fan gushes over Faasil's acting, Mohanlal responds with subtle wit. He even handed back the prasadam the fan had offered, earning laughs and applause for his impeccable comic timing.
In the teaser, we can also see different facets of Mohanlal's innocent and sweet character in the film. Viewers were quick to point out Mohanlal's return to his classic form, with many describing the teaser as a 'return to vintage Lal," highlighting his effortless humour and childlike innocence.
Directed by filmmaker Sathyan Anthikad, Hridayapoorvam marks a nostalgic reunion between the veteran filmmaker and Mohanlal—one of Malayalam cinema's most beloved actor-director duos. Their past collaborations include timeless hits such as Rasathanthram, Vinodayathra and Ennum Eppozhum, with the latter released nearly a decade ago in 2015.
Hridayapoorvam features a stellar ensemble cast, including Malavika Mohanan, Sangeeth Prathap, Sangita, Siddique, Nishan, Baburaj, Lalu Alex and Janardhanan. The family entertainer is written by Akhil Sathyan, with the screenplay and dialogues by Sonu TP. Anu Moothedath handles cinematography, while music is composed by acclaimed Tamil composer Justin Prabhakaran.
Backed by Antony Perumbavoor under the Aashirvad Cinemas banner, Hridayapoorvam is slated for a grand theatrical release this Onam, on August 28.

Vindu Dara Singh Slams Pakistan For Fostering Terrorism: ‘Shame On Those People'

Vindu Dara Singh spoke about India's match against Pakistan in the upcoming Asia Cup. He also slammed Pakistan for harbouring terrorists on its soil. Ever since the deadly attack in Pahalgam, India's relations with Pakistan have deteriorated. Amid the ongoing tensions between the two countries, Son of Sardaar 2 actor Vindu Dara Singh spoke strongly against Pakistan's role in fostering terrorism. The 61-year-old actor also weighed in on the ongoing debate following the announcement of the Asia Cup fixture between the two nations. In the Asia Cup 2025, India is placed in Group A, alongside Pakistan. The two countries will face off against each other on September 14. Singh shared that sports should bring people together. 'We all know whatever has been going on, but sports is a different field," Vindu told ANI. Vindu Dara Singh On Pakistan The actor further urged Pakistan to stop harbouring terrorist groups on their soil as it would ultimately lead to their global isolation. He added, 'Pakistan needs to realise that they are losing out by doing wrong to India… We want peace, but they need to initiate this time. They are the ones who cause the problem. India has never attacked any country first. Shame on those people in Pakistan who support terrorism." Vindu's comment came just days after the announcement of the Asia Cup 2025 fixture between India and Pakistan. The tournament, organised by the Asian Cricket Council, is scheduled to take place from September 9 to September 25 in the United Arab Emirates (UAE). Initially, India was supposed to host the tournament. But the recent military tensions between the countries following the deadly attack in Pahalgam has forced the authorities to organise the tournament at a neutral venue, the UAE. The terrorist attack on tourists in Pahalgam on April 22 claimed the lives of 26 people. Post the attack, India launched a series of precision strikes under Operation Sindoor in May to destroy terrorist camps in Pakistan and Pakistan-Occupied Kashmir. The two countries were involved in a military conflict before a ceasefire was announced on May 10. What's Vindu Dara Singh's Next Project? The actor is set to appear in the comedy film Son of Sardaar 2, starring Ajay Devgn, Mrunal Thakur, Ravi Kishan and Sanjay Mishra. Directed by Vijay Kumar Arora, the film is set to be released theatrically on August 1. The movie will also feature Mukul Dev posthumously. Disclaimer: Comments reflect users' views, not News18's. Trigger Ending Explained: Will Moon Baek Return In Season 2 After Lee Do's Win?

Last Updated: Trigger focuses on the moral differences between ex-sniper-turned-cop Lee Do and powerful arms dealer Moon Baek, shaped by their personal life. Netflix's latest K-drama, Trigger, is giving viewers sleepless nights. The show, directed by Kwon Oh-seung, premiered on the OTT platform on July 25. Trigger, led by Kim Nam-gil and Kim Young-kwang, revolves around a fictional South Korea where firearms are outlawed but violence prevails more than ever. Illegal guns are being delivered anonymously to civilians, spreading chaos and defiance of law and order across the nation. But it was the cliffhanger ending featuring Kim Nam-gil's Lee Do and Kim Young-kwang's Moon Baek that left binge-watchers with more questions than answers, which we are here to break down for you. Trigger focuses on the moral differences between ex-sniper-turned-cop Lee Do and powerful arms dealer Moon Baek, shaped by their personal life. The climax scene shows Moon Baek inciting a riot among the citizens by illegally distributing guns. He also sets off a smoke bomb to create further chaos and killings. In this situation, Lee Do takes a bold and humane step: he puts his life at risk to save a child caught in the crossfire and gives away the opportunity to arrest Moon Baek. Lee Do's selflessness becomes a turning point in the story. People see a spark of hope in a world consumed by violence and fear. As a result, many of them voluntarily surrendered their guns, choosing peace and humanity. Lee Do later visits his arch-enemy, Moon Baek, in a hospital, who is in critical condition. Strangely enough, viewers spot a woman smiling eerily outside Moon Baek's hospital room. Soon, it is implied that she was sent to assassinate him by a foreigner who used to supply him with guns. Trigger Season 2 In The Cards? The last few minutes of Trigger showcase Lee Do resuming his job as a cop and living with the child he rescued, but Moon Baek's arc is yet to be determined. The burning question of whether he survives the ordeal or is killed by his arms dealer still remains. Although Moon Baek is in no condition to resume his dangerous business, his arms supplier, eyeing South Korea's market, leaves more room for a possible season 2 in the making.
