The $1 Pick 6 returned $5,620 to bettors who selected 5-of-6 winners correctly.
Opening Day's Pick 6 sequence kicked off in Race 5 with a win from favored Deep Satin [No. 3, $6.70] in the first division of the one-mile inner turf restricted Listed $135,000 De La Rose with Jose Ortiz aboard for trainer Cherie DeVaux.
Hall of Famer John Velazquez piloted the next winner as the George Weaver-conditioned Cy Fair [No. 10, $13.40] captured a 5 1/2-furlong Mellon turf maiden, in Race 6. The next race saw Ortiz return to the winner's circle aboard Lobby Rendezvous [No. 1, $10.80] in a nine-furlong maiden for conditioner Matt Shirer, in Race 7.
In Race 8, the second division of the De La Rose, Dylan Davis navigated Ozara [No. 1, $10.20] to a ground-saving victory for trainer Miguel Clement. In Race 9, a six-furlong starter allowance, Irad Ortiz, Jr. led Spiritual Lady [No. 1, $25.40] to an 11-1 victory for conditioner Gregory Charlerie's first career victory.

With just the favored Best Impression covered heading into the Race 10 finale, a seven-furlong claimer, the Gustavo Rodriguez-trained 16-1 longshot Dream On Cara [No. 2, $34.20] prevailed with Ricardo Santana, Jr. in the saddle, triggering the carryover.
Friday's Pick 6 begins in Race 5 at approximately 3:27 p.m. Eastern and includes the Grade 3, $175,000 Coronation Cup in Race 7. First post for the 10-race card is 1:10 p.m.

New York Knicks Get Major LeBron James Update

Based on facts, either observed and verified firsthand by the reporter, or reported and verified from knowledgeable sources. Newsweek AI is in beta. Translations may contain inaccuracies—please refer to the original content. The New York Knicks made a run all the way to the Eastern Conference Finals last season, but came up short against the Indiana Pacers. Moving forward, the franchise is focused on winning a championship. With that being said, the Knicks have come up as a potential suitor for LeBron James. As his situation with the Los Angeles Lakers seemingly continues to sour, James has been rumored to be a potential trade candidate this year or at least a free agency option next offseason. New York has been rumored as a potential fit for James down the road. More Photo byEven though the Knicks have been talked about as a potential suitor for the longtime superstar, they may be facing an uphill battle to make that happen. Read more: Report: 76ers Receive Very Concerning Joel Embiid Update CBS Sports analyst Sam Quinn took a look at New York's future as a potential James suitor. He offered an honest outlook for the team. "As of right now, New York has around $46 million in second-apron space. However, that doesn't account for the new deals we expect Mikal Bridges and Mitchell Robinson to sign between now and next summer," Quinn wrote. "If both are long-term Knicks, New York will blow past the second apron and only have a minimum to offer. If James is open to the minimum, and that's already a stretch, wouldn't he be likelier to take it in Cleveland than New York? In this scenario, the Knicks would be fighting an uphill battle." Assuming James does become a free agent next offseason, quite a few teams would have interest in him. Among those teams could be the Knicks, Cleveland Cavaliers, Golden State Warriors, and Dallas Mavericks. There is also a chance that he could have interest in signing with whoever drafts his younger son, Bryce James, who is eligible for the 2026 NBA Draft. Read more: NBA Insider Issues Massive Lakers, LeBron James Future Prediction James is still capable of playing like one of the best players in the league. During the 2024-25 NBA season, he averaged 24.4 points per game to go along with 8.2 assists, 7.8 rebounds, and a steal. In addition, he also shot 51.3 percent from the floor and 37.6 percent from three-point range. At 40 years old, James has not talked about when he plans to retire. It's possible the 2025-26 season could be his last, but playing another year still seems to be the most likely scenario. Expect to continue hearing rumors about James and his future throughout the entire year. New York will also likely continue being connected as a possible landing spot for him next offseason. Sean Payton: Dre Greenlaw plays like Mike Tyson

Linebacker Dre Greenlaw made the most of the first day in pads at Broncos training camp. Greenlaw filled gaps and delivered hits throughout team drills in Denver and head coach Sean Payton said you didn't even have to be watching to know that Greenlaw was the one landing blows. Payton said "you can hear it" when Greenlaw makes a hit and then went on to compare his style to another knockout artist from a different sport. "He plays like Mike Tyson," Payton said, via the team's website. "He's tough, he's physical. He's built that way. There's not a lot of leaky yardage. Some guys [allow that]. He's a knock-back tackler. They stop where he hits them. There's an intensity to how he plays. He's one of those players that if you put the film on and didn't say anything, at some point early, you'd ask, 'Who is this guy?'" Greenlaw was limited to two games for the 49ers last year because of injuries and a quad injury interrupted his first offseason in Denver, so one key for the Broncos will be making sure Greenlaw's healthy enough to deploy that physicality on a regular basis. If he is, facing an already tough Broncos defense will be even less enjoyable for opposing offenses in 2025.
