Woman kicked out of Hilton hotel breakfast for 'inappropriate' outfit choice
A woman has claimed she was chucked out of a Hilton hotel breakfast buffet for wearing an "inappropriate" outfit.
Saffron, who shares videos on TikTok under @saffronmariexx, had popped downstairs around 7.30am wearing what she described as a matching satin-look pyjama set and flip-flops.
In another video, she explained that she was staying in the hotel for some "self-care," but she was stunned when she was turned away from the breakfast buffet due to dressing "inappropriately", reports the Mirror.
She said: "When I got there, I was told I was dressed inappropriately." She slammed the decision as "absolutely ridiculous" and insisted she looked "cuter than everyone there".
Determined to get her breakfast, the influencer "quickly got changed". But admitted her shorts were shorter in the second outfit she wore.

In a video explaining the situation, she laughed: "The second outfit was actually worse than the first one."
In the comments, people were left asking: "Why would you wear pyjamas to breakfast?"
Someone wrote: "Nowhere allows it due to upholding a certain look. Some places even turn you away for wearing sliders."
Another wasn't impressed by Saffron's behaviour, writing: "You get dressed to go to a restaurant."
A fourth argued: "It's a luxury hotel, so they have high standards, and wearing PJS is a no-no."
Some even accused Saffron of being "lazy and entitled" and told her to "have some dignity" rather than going out in the clothes she'd slept in all night.
Other people defended Saffron, though. One said: "I don't get why people are saying 'why would you wear pajamas' it's legit a breakfast in a hotel".
Another agreed: "It makes no sense that hotels frown upon it, you're still dressed."
While it's unclear which Hilton branch Saffron was staying at, dress codes vary across locations, though most follow a smart-casual vibe.
That usually means polished but relaxed looks. For women, a simple dress or blouse with trousers will do. For men, it's chinos and a shirt, blazers optional, ties not required.
Based on this, it would be safe to assume that breakfast had a more 'casual' vibe as Saffron was allowed to wear shorts, but pyjamas are frowned upon.

Russell Grant's horoscopes as Gemini to have deep desire to give and receive love
Today's horoscope for Friday, July 25 sees one star sign recognising life is hectic, while another finds an unexpected request gives them a chance to get involved in a team effort. Today's daily horoscopes for each star sign can be found below. These daily forecasts have been compiled by astrologer Russell Grant who has been reading star signs for more than 50 years. Aries (Mar 21 - Apr 20) People are naturally attracted to you. If you're in a relationship, your partner will find it hard to resist any request you make of them. If you're single, someone you meet in a park, museum, boutique or fine dining restaurant will become special to you. Taurus (Apr 21 - May 21) You aren't too enthusiastic about accepting an invitation to a community event. Yet for some reason you feel obliged to go. As it is, you will be glad of this chance to get involved in group activities. Someone with a wonderful sense of humour will brighten your day. Gemini (May 22 - June 21) A talented friend will encourage you to explore new ways to enhance your skills and knowledge. Some daily exercise will be both invigorating and enjoyable. Take this chance to take part in unusual or spontaneous activities. You have a deep desire to give and receive love. Cancer (June 22 - July 23) Life is hectic. Demands and expectations from others are starting to feel overwhelming. You're doing your best to get through a difficult situation but you don't know everything and putting the pieces of this puzzle together isn't easy. You may need help to gain a clearer understanding. Leo (July 24 - Aug 23) A loved one is feeling neglected while you constantly take centre stage. It's time to step back. When socialising, turn your attention to others and turn the spotlight off yourself. Organise a candlelit dinner for two, indulge your partner's sensual side, and watch as any issues in your relationship begin to mend. Virgo (Aug 24 - Sept 23) You have successfully moved past a difficult stage in your life. You can now focus on what lies ahead and this looks far less problematic. If you've been spending a lot of time alone, making new friends is your next priority. Do some research on social groups in your area. Libra (Sept 24 - Oct 23) An unexpected request gives you a chance to get involved a team effort. There's a lot of work ahead for you, yet this project also makes you feel as if you're doing something useful. You are brimming with energy and enthusiasm and it should be fun to apply your creativity in a hands-on way. Scorpio (Oct 24 - Nov 22) Successful negotiations will give your confidence a boost. Your positive outlook seems to attract new social opportunities without you even trying. You may have to cancel a date in order to attend an important meeting. Additionally, you are looking to contribute some of your time to a meaningful cause. Join the Daily Record WhatsApp community! Sagittarius (Nov 23 - Dec 21) A close friend or partner is spending more time with new friends. You would like to join them but you aren't a part of their plans. Don't protest too loudly. Instead, take this as a sign they want more freedom independent of your relationship. If you care for them, give them the space they need. Capricorn (Dec 22 - Jan 20) The only person you can truly depend on is yourself. A friend or colleague can't seem to understand why you are upset with them. They don't recognise why something is so important to you as it means nothing to them. Take this chance to think about your life and your friendships. Aquarius (Jan 21 - Feb 19) A workplace disagreement will stir up feelings of annoyance and frustration. You're tired of working with someone who insists on keeping to the same methods and routines day after day. You want to challenge the status quo. At least give yourself the freedom to deviate from the norm. Pisces (Feb 20 - Mar 20) Avoid measuring your financial status against that of your friends, neighbours, and coworkers. Those who seem to have it all may actually be struggling with significant debt. Competing with others is a futile effort. If you're facing financial constraints, steer clear of the urge to go on a shopping spree.

CBS viewers left shocked by risqué moment between Julie Chen Moonves and Big Brother contestant - following husband's sex scandal
CBS viewers were left stunned on Thursday night after Big Brother host Julie Chen Moonves made a risqué, seemingly flirtatious comment to a male contestant during the live broadcast. The moment also triggered renewed scrutiny over her embattled legacy as the wife of disgraced former CBS chief Les Moonves, 75. The shocking exchange unfolded during just before a live vote and eviction on the reality TV show. It saw Chen Moonves check in with the house guests including black contestant Will Williams, a 50-year-old retired Army captain, who wanted to say hi to his wife on air. 'Shout out to my family and shout out to my babe and my chocolate drop, Gwen,' Will said. Chen Moonves, 55, smiling playfully, leaned into the moment - and then crossed a line that many viewers couldn't believe they'd just heard. 'Will, am I your lemon drop then?', Chen Moonves asked without missing a beat. The comment immediately set off pandemonium inside the Big Brother house. Williams stood up in shock while the gathered house guests all erupted with laughter. Chen Moonves appeared to recoil in embarrassment realizing what she'd just said. 'I'm just kidding. Settle down,' she said moments later, attempting to regain control as the contestants continued to howl with laughter. 'Tell your wife it was a joke! Now we have business…' Viewers on social media exploded with many stunned that Chen Moonves would have make such a remark to a married contestant on national television. Others questioned the racial implications of the 'lemon drop' comment, especially in the context of her husband's very public fall from grace following multiple sexual misconduct allegations. 'She said that on national TV!!! Someone's about to get real offended,' one user wrote on TikTok. 'The immediate regret in her voice and trying to walk it back - this is incredible,' another posted to X. 'My. Jaw. Dropped. It was so good,' wrote a third. 'Is this literally not racist cause lemon drops are yellow and…' a fourth asked bluntly. The retired Army Captain initially seemed to laugh off the comment made by Chen Moonves The viral moment, though just seconds long, immediately brought renewed attention to Chen Moonves's controversial past - and the scandal that forced her husband out of the network she still represents and broadcasts. Although she has attempted to distance herself from her husband's public disgrace, Chen Moonves remains inseparable in the public imagination from Les Moonves, the disgraced former CEO and chairman of CBS Corporation who was forced out in 2018, after multiple women accused him of sexual misconduct spanning three decades. Moonves, once one of the most powerful executives in Hollywood, allegedly subjected women to groping, forced oral sex, and retaliation - charges he vehemently denies. At the time, Chen Moonves publicly backed her husband and even adopted her full married name - Julie Chen Moonves - on-air, in a move widely viewed as a symbolic declaration of loyalty while the CBS network distanced itself from the scandal. Behind the scenes, the fallout was personal with Chen Moonves ousted from The Talk chat show, a position she later said she didn't leave voluntarily. 'That was a hard time,' Chen told ABC News. 'I felt stabbed in the back. I was, you know? I don't know if I could've reconciled if I didn't have God in my life.' Les Moonves, the disgraced former CEO and chairman of CBS Corporation was forced out in 2018 after multiple women accused him of sexual misconduct spanning three decades Chen Moonves has since turned to religion, publishing an audio memoir titled But First, God and leaning heavily into her faith as a way to reframe her public identity. 'Julie Chen before she found God was a self-absorbed, career-minded, vain, gossipy, fun to be with, but probably kind of a shallow person,' she confessed. 'Julie Chen Moonves, who now knows the Lord, is someone who wants to help others, who wants to look at everyone with a soft heart.' But Thursday night's lemon-drop flirtation seemed to break from that rebranded image - and reignited questions about her role as a public figure on a major network. Despite his ouster and years of legal wrangling, Moonves and CBS remain linked. In 2021, he gave up a $120 million severance package in a settlement with ViacomCBS. The company then declared the matter 'resolved.' Married in 2004, Julie and Les have remained together, raising their son Charlie. 'We leaned on each other and we knew that nothing could break us,' Chen Moonves told People while promoting her memoir last year. 'It was our love and our foundation that got us through.' Still, critics say Chen Moonves presence on Big Brother continues to raise ethical questions for CBS.

'I'll never shut up': Fantastic Four's Pedro Pascal on using fame to highlight issues he cares about
Pedro Pascal is everywhere right now. You walk into the cinema and he's on most of the film posters there: Fantastic Four: First Steps, Eddington, The Materialists and The Uninvited. With that level of public attention, you wouldn't be shocked to see the actor become closed off. Shielded by a sea of publicists maintaining a studio's desired image and an influx of influencers replacing film reporters, public figures speaking their mind in Hollywood have become somewhat of a rarity. Perhaps this is why the delayed yet meteoric rise to fame for Pedro Pascal feels refreshing for his fans. In between self-promotion for his latest projects, the Chilean-American uses his fame to highlight causes he cares about by wearing "Protect The Dolls" T-shirts in public settings, posting about food blockades into Gaza and linking non-profit organisations, Doctors Without Borders and The Trevor Project, on his Instagram account where he has over 11 million followers. In a time where a single sentence can be taken out of context in a TikTok post or altered to suit a narrative driven by a headline (and yes, the irony of writing this does not go unnoticed), speaking candidly can feel like you're walking into a trap. "I think it's very easy to get scared no matter what you sort of talk about," the actor tells Sky News. "There's so many different ways that things can get kind of fractured and have a life of itself really." He adds: "It's sort of a business part of the way media can work really. There's one thing that you can say and no matter what your intention behind it, it is absolutely lost in all of these different headlines, I suppose, but I'll never shut up." It's the last line, "I'll never shut up", that echoes after our four minute and two second conversation in the midst of a days-long "press run" in London for the release of The Fantastic Four: First Steps. The 50-year-old knows one misstep in an increasingly reactive media industry can shatter the careers of many. Pascal is aware of the dangers but uses his voice anyway. It's that decision that makes him "fantastic", maybe more so than his role as Dr Richard Reeds in The Fantastic Four: First Steps - a character quite literally weighed down with the worries of the world on his shoulders whilst simultaneously welcoming new life with his wife Sue Storm. The film, directed by WandaVision's Matt Shakman, stands alone in its own universe within the MCU and also features Vanessa Kirby, Ebon Moss Bachrach and Joseph Quinn.
