'ABSOLUTELY heartbroken' trainer Richard Hannon has addressed the tragic death of Harry's Girl at Royal Ascot.
The two-year-old filly, who was co-owned by Harry Kane's former agent Will Salthouse, suffered a severe leg injury in the first race on day two.

Harry's Girl, circled, was travelling in the stands-side group when she sadly broke her leg and died in the first race on day two of Royal Ascot
She was travelling at the back of the stands-side group in the 5f Queen Mary Stakes when she appeared to stumble.
Jockey Sean Levey did his absolute best to stop the filly running as quickly as possible - but sadly she could not be saved.
Classic-winning trainer Hannon, who was another of her co-owners, posted a message on X describing his despair at the sad loss.
He wrote: "After the highs of Tuesday, we are absolutely heartbroken to have lost Harry's Girl on Wednesday afternoon at Ascot.
"She was a lovely filly with a fantastic character.
"Our sympathies go out to everyone that looked after her and loved her at home, and of course to her owners."
ITV Racing presenter Ed Chamberlin said the incident was 'horrible' - and cast a shadow over the contest won by Aidan O'Brien's True Love.
He said: "We've just had this confirmed by Ascot - Harry's Girl did suffer a fatal injury.
"Our thoughts go out to connections.
"It's desperately sad for the Hannon team after they celebrated with their winner Haatem yesterday."
The filly was a big favourite at Hannon's Marlborough yard.
Speaking before the race, the popular trainer said: "She's a very precocious filly who won well on debut at the Craven meeting and did everything right bar win at York in the Listed Marygate Fillies' Stakes.
"I really thought she'd win that day and she appeared home and hosed but got caught close home by a fast finisher on the other side of the track which she didn't see coming.
"Her work has been very good, and she looks magnificent in her coat.
"It's a typically competitive Queen Mary, but she's a strong traveller with plenty of boot and this race has been the plan all along so I'm hopeful of a bold show."
Harry's Girl, who was bought for £36,000 last August, won on debut at Newmarket in April this year.
She was then a hugely promising second in a Listed contest at York last month.
The daughter of former champion sprinter Harry Angel was given odds of 16-1 for the Royal Ascot Group 2 but her trainer clearly thought a lot of her.
Sadly she will never get the chance to fulfill that potential.

British racing to go on strike for first time in its history in protest at betting tax rise with ALL meetings cancelled

Key figures within the sport are opposing a Government proposal RACE IS RUN British racing to go on strike for first time in its history in protest at betting tax rise with ALL meetings cancelled Click to share on X/Twitter (Opens in new window) Click to share on Facebook (Opens in new window) BRITISH racing is set to go on strike for the first time EVER next month. September 10 events at Carlisle, Uttoxeter, Kempton and Lingfield Park are all set to be scrapped. According to The Times, the British Horseracing Authority (BHA) have organised the strike, which could cost the industry around £700,000, in opposition to the proposal. The BHA claim that the proposed change would cost the sector £66million every year and put up to 2,752 people out of a job While they also warned that it would send the sport into "irreversible decline". The proposed strike is set to take place just one day before the start of the St Leger Festival at Doncaster. This means that the issue will be placed at the forefront of the sport by the time the prestigious event, that prime minister Keir Starmer attended alongside his wife last year, comes around. Chief executive of the BHA Brant Dunshea said: "This latest tax bombshell from the Government, if followed through, poses one of the gravest risks to horseracing the sport has ever seen. 'The horseracing industry is already in a precarious financial position, and the latest research provides a much more catastrophic forecast than we first thought. 'We're talking thousands of jobs at risk across the supply chain, severely impacted towns and communities, and the irreversible decline of the country's second most popular sport.' It's claimed that bookies would likely look to increase their prices should the proposal come into effect - while two thirds of punters claim that a tax increase would push people towards the gambling black market. Owners remove £195,000 Grade 2-winning horse from Gordon Elliott's yard with his blessing and send to his protege It's also said that bookmakers would cut their advertising and market budgets - while turning their focus towards online gaming. David Menuisier, a trainer at Coombelands Racing Stables, recently told The Sun: 'Racing is much more than just a sport in this country. 'It brings fun and excitement to millions and is a major local employer, particularly here in West Sussex as we prepare for another fantastic year at Goodwood.'

The site was established as one of the UK's first residential recording studios in 1974. Since opening, the Cornish studio has hosted an array of iconic artists. Among the iconic albums to be recorded on the site, are Supergrass's "I Should Coco" and "In It For The Money" and The Verve's "A Storm in Heaven." Legendary rock band Muse also created "Showbiz" and "Origin of Symmetry" in the studio. In the wake of Oasis's UK reunion tour, the property is now up for sale with Stags estate agents for an eye-watering £1,950,000. This signifies the first time in 50 years that the home will be sold on the open market. The idyllic home is only accessible by boat or on foot and boasts an impressive 32 acres of woodland. If that wasn't enough, it is also complete with seven bedrooms, two reception rooms, and a detached two bedroom lodge. The original recording studio remains fully operational too, and occupies the lower ground floor. The listing adds: "Accessible only be boat or on foot, it offers outstanding character and potential in one of Cornwall's most idyllic waterfront settings." In addition to housing a host of famous faces, the property is also steeped in history, occupying the site of a 17th century water mill. It also has roots back to as far as the 11th century. The estate agents even claim there is evidence of early settlement with the site being mentioned in the Domesday Book. The description reads: "A fabulous home that combines historic roots with international music heritage." 9 The recording studio where Oasis produced Definitely Maybe, 1994 Credit: Sawmills 9 The studio is complete with a control room and vocal booth Credit: Sawmills 9 The home also boasts seven bedrooms and a separate lodge Credit: Apex 9 The property sits on an impressive 32 acres of woodland Credit: Sawmills This impressive home has hit the market following Oasis' sellout reunion tour. After a 16 year hiatus, the band have come back together to play a total of 41 shows. With the tour well underway, the gig is currently the hottest ticket, as the band has proven its legendary impact on the music industry. The Sun also reported earlier this month, that more dates could be on the cards for the brothers. According to a Sun source, they have been offered four huge shows at Knebworth House next year - to mark the 30th anniversary of their two historic concerts there in 1996. If the rockers take up the offer, the shows would see them beating their former foe Robbie Williams' achievement of playing the iconic Hertfordshire venue three times. 9 Oasis are currently in the midst of their 2025 world tour Credit: Getty

CUT IT OUT Filip Hrgovic survives horror cut to outclass brave Brit David Adeleye on Moses Itauma vs Dillian Whyte undercard Click to share on X/Twitter (Opens in new window) Click to share on Facebook (Opens in new window) DAVID ADELEYE courageously climbed off the deck against heavyweight boogieman Filip Hrgovic but was beaten on points. The fearless Ladbroke Road lad took on the 2016 Olympic bronze winner in Saudi and had to drag himself off the sand in round eight. Sign up for Scottish Sun newsletter Sign up 3 Filip Hrgovic dropped David Adeleye on the way to a points win Credit: Getty 3 Hrgovic was badky cut from his right eye Credit: Getty He threw the kitchen sink at the respected veteran but the three ringside judges scored the bout 98-91, 99-90 and 99-90. The West Londoner made the brave decision to start fast, pinging orthodox jabs up at the 6ft 6in Croatian's handsome and hard dome. Hrgovic pushed him back with body attacks but when he popped out a limp jab, Adeleye landed the shot of the round, an overhand right, that should have banked the opener for him with the judges. The only defeat on Hrgovic's 18-1 career came last year when he battered Daniel Dubois for a few rounds before being stopped over gruesome cuts around both eyes. And - by the second round - after dozens of decent straight jabs the right eye was ripped open again and leaking blood into his vision. The bookies' favourite remained dangerous, plodding toward Adeleye like Adams Family butler Lurch. But the Brit was picking him off at range, sometimes on the backfoot, and slashing further at the oozing wounds. Hrgovic kept ploughing into the pugilist with the Portobello Road tattoo but Adeleye grinned back at his best blows. 3 ITAUMA VS WHYTE LIVE BLOG - FOLLOW UPDATES FROM HUGE HEAVYWEIGHT FIGHT CASINO SPECIAL - BEST CASINO BONUSES FROM £10 DEPOSITS And just before the bell, when looking pinned into a neutral corner, the Englishman landed a beautiful left hook - punch of the night hitherto - and buzzed the bloodied giant. Both men wasted time and energy in the fourth, Hrgovic hammering blows into Adeleye's inked abs or high guard and the left hook replies missing by miles. Hrgovic showed glimpses of his 2016 Olympic pedigree in the fifth but his body-attack strategy was baffling. And before the sixth even started, both 17st hulks looked exhausted and started cuddling more than punching. Hrgovic dominated a dull sixth, when Adeleye was running on fumes and looking increasingly vulnerable and ringside Derek Chisora yelled 'you need a knockout, bro' before the seventh started. Adeleye listened and started the session with some crisp scoring shots but it was short lived as his engine betrayed him again after around 30 seconds. Adeleye was whacked by a massive right hand at the start of the eighth but he stuck his tongue out and roared in the silent little arena before getting dropped and taking a count. Brilliantly he bounced back up to his white boots and then smashed Hrgovic around the ring until he nearly collapsed, but our boy could not score a revenge knockdown before the bell. Hrgovic was cautious and clever in the final two sessions but Adeleye emptied the tank and came up just short in a joyride he can be proud of.
