Watch: Chris Hemsworth celebrates 'legacy' of Thor ahead of 'Doomsday'

May 29 (UPI) -- Chris Hemsworth is looking back on his time as Marvel hero Thor as he prepares to return as the God of Thunder in Avengers: Doomsday.
The actor, 41, thanked fans and released a video on his YouTube channel Wednesday that features behind-the-scenes footage of him portraying Thor across multiple Marvel films.
It also includes interviews with Hemsworth's co-stars Natalie Portman and Tessa Thompson, along with director Taika Waititi and Marvel Studios head Kevin Feige.
"Playing Thor has been one of the greatest honors of my life. For the last 15 years I've held Mjolnir and then Stormbreaker as the God of Thunder, but what made it truly special... was sharing it with all of you. Your passion, your cheers, and your love for this character have meant everything to me," Hemsworth says in the video's description.
"Thank you for making my journey through the Marvel Cinematic Universe unforgettable.. Next up, Doomsday!" the actor continued.

Last year, tweeted the video, garnering 210 retweets and nearly 500 "likes." The ad begins with Bryant, clad in a crimson sweater, hanging up the phone in his office. "One of the first things we tell our players is to keep in touch with their families. And when our freshmen first arrive, we ask them to write a postcard home, right then," Bryant says in a gravelly voice as the camera gradually gets closer. I sure wish I could call mine." Legend has it that Bryant, who died in 1983 at the age of 69, veered away from the script and ad-libbed the last line. What To Know Shortly after prosecutors spoke about Mia's identity being leaked, a woman was removed from the courtroom for causing a disturbance. "Everyone is laughing at Diddy," the woman said. "It's not right what they're doing to him!" Subramanian asked for her to be escorted out "right now." Eddy Garcia, who worked as the security supervisor at the InterContinental Hotel in Los Angeles in 2016, testified on Tuesday. Combs was seen on the hotel's surveillance footage physically attacking his then-girlfriend Cassie Ventura. Footage of the 2016 incident was released by CNN last year. Combs said he wanted the video taken off a server and a copy of the video because it could "ruin his career" if the footage was made public, Garcia testified. Garcia said he then spoke to his supervisor, who agreed to do it for $50,000. Garcia said he signed an NDA, which would charge him $1 million if the agreement was broken. Combs then returned with a brown paper bag containing $100,000, Garcia testified. Garcia said he kept $30,000, gave $50,000 to his supervisor and $20,000 to another security officer. Derek Ferguson, a former CFO for Combs-founded company Bad Boy Entertainment, also testified on Tuesday. He said he never saw anyone help Combs commit crimes or acts of violence. Of course, plenty of pups have qualities in common based on their breed, genetics, or pure coincidence, but when it comes down to their mannerisms and preferences, no two dogs are exactly the same. Dog lovers wouldn't have it any other way! Pups are so entertaining and endearing, although some, like @pooknoot's Pit Bull mix, can be a bit strange, too. The way this dog accepts a treat from his dad is the oddest thing! Even though this dog dad has been attempting to go viral for his basketball tricks, it was his pup's bizarre behavior that has millions of people talking. Some viewers feel downright creeped out by the strange way he takes the treat, but you'll just have to see for yourself. What in the world was that? The unbreaking eye contact and slow backing up were unnerving to say the least, but I can appreciate this dog's confidence in navigating his steps in reverse. "Bro knows every square inch of that house," one commenter noticed. "He didn't even need to look where he was going." Clearly, he walks backwards regularly if he can do it on command and not bump into a thing. Now that's one talented dog!Just as I started to wonder if this was too good to be true, I saw plenty of comments questioning whether this video was simply played in reverse. But sure enough, this dog's weird behavior is as real as it gets! I'll never get over this! Dogs don't usually work this hard to stay front-facing unless they feel unsafe, but this Pit Bull mix is in his forever home with his Dad, whom he loves. I was beginning to wonder if he's just oddly protective of his food, but he doesn't seem to have any food in this clip. I guess I'll just keep wondering along with this dog's other new fans. Oh well!
