Ex-ESPN host Sage Steele says her close friends publicly attacked her after she sued the sports network

Former ESPN host Sage Steele has opened up about the personal fallout she suffered after filing a lawsuit against the sporting giant in 2022. During an appearance on The Katie Miller Show, Steele said that she saw many of her closest friends turn on her publicly during the legal battle. 'That is literally still the hardest, saddest thing for me,' she said. 'They were in my home, with my children, with my family, with my parents, and for them to not just disappear ... that's one thing. It's another thing to attack [me] publicly, and that's just where I was so confused and shocked,' she explained. 'I'm an emotional person, so I cried a lot.' Steele said that she never wanted or expected her friends to defend her, but she never expected them to turn on her publicly either. Since parting ways with ESPN, Steele has come out as a proud supporter of President Donald Trump and was even part of his 2024 campaign. Her ESPN suspension came in part due to her comments about former President Barack Obama. During a podcast appearance with Jay Cutler, Steele stated she did not like Obama calling himself Black because, like herself, he has a white mother. Steele eventually left ESPN last year after settling a lawsuit against the company, claiming it censored her free speech. She later claimed during her time at ESPN that the network asked her not to talk about transgender swimmer Lia Thomas. Thomas represented the University of Pennsylvania as a male athlete before transitioning to compete as a woman. She went on to win a female national championship. Steele was among those who voiced their opposition on social media to Thomas and other biological males competing in women's sports. Steele also spoke out after ESPN fired her friend Sam Ponder last year. 'This is another loss for ESPN, but it is a gain for literally the rest of the world because now you're going to see the true Sam Ponder,' Steele said on social media at the time. Since parting ways with ESPN, Steele has carved out a niche for herself in conservative media. She hosts a conservative podcast on Bill Maher's network and has also worked with the Daily Wire. Steele was one of the first people that White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt invited to sit in the 'new media' seat in the White House briefing room, a seat near the front of the room that was previously reserved for staff. She asked Leavitt about how much the president would pressure the U.S. Senate to move on a a House-passed bill that bars transgender athletes from participating in women's sports. Her early February appearance in the briefing room was timed to coincide with Trump signing an executive order on the same topic. Steele has also formed a close friendship with Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard and came to support her on Capitol Hill during the ex-congresswoman's Senate confirmation hearings. Steele was one of the first guests on Stephen Miller's wife Katie's new podcast, The Katie Miller Show. Miller, who has been married to Trump's Deputy Chief of Staff Stephen Miller since 2020, launched the podcast this week with Vice President JD Vance as her first guest. Announcing the project, Miller said, 'For years, I've seen that there isn't a place for conservative women to gather online, and so I wanted to create that space.' Miller previously served as a spokesperson for the Department of Government Efficiency under Elon Musk before departing to start her podcast. The interview will air on Monday at 6pm ET. Listeners can subscribe on YouTube, Spotify and Apple. The interview will also be available on X and Rumble.

Brittany Mahomes sends Taylor Swift a message over viral quote from Travis Kelce podcast appearance

Taylor Swift and Brittany Mahomes' at times rocky friendship appears stronger than ever after the singer's New Heights podcast appearance this week. This time last year, the brand new besties appeared to suddenly be at odds after Mahomes endorsed Donald Trump in the upcoming election while Swift, who has a long-running feud with Trump, backed Kamala Harris. But earlier this week, as excitement reached fever pitch about Swift joining Travis and Jason Kelce on New Heights, Patrick Mahomes revealed the singer facetimed his wife after finishing recording the show. And her appearance clearly went down well with Brittany, who shared on Instagram what has become a viral quote from Swift when she said on the show: 'Think of your energy as if it's expensive, as if it's a luxury item. 'Not everyone can afford it. Not everyone has invested in you in order to be able for you have the capital to care about this.' Mahomes reposted the clip on Friday morning and wrote, with three applauding emojis: 'That. Is. The. Day.' Wise words from Taylor — New Heights (@newheightshow) August 15, 2025 Swift also announced her new album on the podcast, with he 12th record 'The Life of a Showgirl' released October 3. Three-time Super Bowl winnner Patrick revealed Wednesday he had an early heads-up that Swift was finally appearing on the show, telling reporters at practice: I knew before y'all did just because they called me after the podcast was done.' He jokingly corrected himself, adding: 'They didn't call me, they called Brittany. I was in the back of the FaceTime.' Soon enough, Mahomes and Swift will be reunited at Arrowhead Stadium once the Kansas City Chiefs start the new NFL season. The Chiefs play their first game in Sao Paulo, Brazil against the Los Angeles Chargers on Friday, September 5. In Week 2, it's a Super Bowl rematch against the Philadelphia Eagles at Arrowhead in what is a difficult start for Kelce and Mahomes. They also meet Baltimore Ravens, Detroit Lions, Washington Commanders and Buffalo Bills by November 2. Earlier this week, Chiefs quarterback Patrick made some eye-opening quotes about Brittany giving birth to their third child, Golden Raye, back in January. 'Brittany crushed it. I was watching playoff games the entire day. She went to labor after one game,' Patrick Mahomes recalled in a clip of 'The Kingdom' which aired on the latest episode of 'Good Morning America.' 'Baby was here before the next game, so I didn't even miss a playoff game. So, she is as locked in as I am as far as football goes.'

Watch the moment gymnast falls 9ft on to her HEAD and shatters both her big toes

THIS is the moment one gymnast fell a whopping 9ft on to her head. Mum Tori Hite, from the US, was practicing muscle-ups on the rings when the horrific incident took place. 5 5 5 In the video, the fitness fan could be seen placing her phone near the training station to record her session. However, just moments later, her calisthenics training went horribly wrong when Tori shattered both of her big toes. The mum, who works as an estate agent, first got onto the sturdy platform to reach the two rings hanging above her. The toned calisthenics enthusiast, who was rocking a grey gym set, then started swinging to gain momentum for a muscle-up. As her upper body strength successfully managed to pull her up, Tori appeared confident to then try another trick - however, it all went downhill from there, quite literally. Once the mum lowered herself, Tori instantly lost the grip and fell backwards from the horrifying height - and unfortunately, landed on to her head. Luckily for the sports lover, she didn't hit the wooden platform which was just inches away. ''Oh my God,'' Tori said in the video, as she was rolling on the floor. A fellow member of the gym saw the shocking incident happen and immediately rushed to the mum who remained lying down. ''You ok?'' the man said, as another gym-goer joined the two. Watch the moment 'complete carnage' unfolds at Wetherby races as three horses unseat at one jumps Surprisingly, despite the horror fall, the mum said she was ''okay'' - and chuckled when she realised she had captured the freak moment. With the two rings still swinging, Tori joked: ''Did I get that on video?'' Uploading the shock incident on her page, the mum said: ''The video EVERYONE has been waiting for. ''Waited a while to post this to prep for the crazy comments. ''But anywayssss, right before grid season started, ya girl had one of the worst falls ever from the rings. ''Instead of breaking my neck, I shattered both of my big toes at the same time…. Talk about awkward.'' How much exercise should you do and when? There are guidelines issued by the NHS and the Government regarding how much exercise people should do each day. People should be active daily, and avoid sitting for long periods. The NHS recommends an adults – those aged 19 to 64 – should aim for 150 minutes of 'moderate intensity activity' a week. This works out to 21 minutes a day, or 30 minutes five days a week. Or, they could do 75 minutes of vigorous activity per week, which could be less than 11 minutes per day or 25 minutes three days a week. Adults should also aim to do strength exercises twice a week, at least. Examples of moderate-intensity activities include brisk walking, water aerobics, riding a bike, dancing, doubles tennis, pushing a lawn mower, hiking or rollerblading. Examples of vigorous activities include running, swimming, riding a bike fast or on hills, walking up the stairs, sports, like football, rugby, netball and hockey, skipping, aerobics, gymnastics or martial arts. Things like lifting heavy weights, sprinting up hills, spin classes or circuit training are considered very vigorous. What time should you exercise? Getting exercise into your day, no matter what time is a good idea. But you may want to be more selective depending on your goal. A 2023 US study on 5,285 middle-aged adults showed exercising between 7 and 9 am was the best time if you're looking to lose weight. Researchers found that early-bird gym goers had a lower body mass index (BMI) and waist circumference than those working out later. A 2022 study led by Prof Paul J Arciero, Skidmore College, New York, found that the optimal time of day to get your kit on might differ according to your gender. Prof Arciero said women wanting to lose fat around their belly and hips would do better to hit the gym in the morning, but those seeking to gain upper body strength or simply improve their mood might see more results from evening exercise. The results were the opposite for men. If you struggle to get to sleep, it's been found that exercise in the morning may help, but exercise in the evening may help you to stay asleep. Exercise, generally, can improve sleep quality. She went on in the caption of the video: ''thankful for my gym family who ran over and almost couldn't believe me when they asked how my neck was and all I said was 'MY TOESSSS' lol. ''This makes me CRINGE, but tbh, the box saved my life for sure. ''Lesson learned? Don't LET GO mid muscle up like a freaking idiot. ''I honestly have no clue what even happened here except straight up brain fart. ''We are back, healthy, toes are pretty good again, but this was a new experience.'' The shock incident has also been uploaded on Instagram by Tori's pal Julia Cook (@ who joked in the post that the gymnast ''nailed'' her muscle-up. Horrified, thousands of social media users flooded to comments, where many said things could've ended way worse. One commented: ''Sucked bad but I'm so glad it wasn't worse.'' Another chimed in: ''You already know how many times I've been nauseous & hurt so much for you over this. so grateful you're ok!'' A stunned viewer said: ''I broke my neck watching this!! ''The fact that you aren't paralysed from this crazy landing, just proves you're a warrior! What doesn't kill you, makes you stronger!'' 5 5
