Lanarkshire golf tournament in Natalie's memory raises record amount for Epilepsy Scotland
The event at Wishaw Golf Club is the fundraising highlight of the year
An annual golf tournament organised by a foundation set up in memory of a Lanarkshire schoolgirl raised a record amount at this year's event.
The Funky Natz Foundation was set up by the parents of 11-year-old Natalie Hughes who died suddenly in March 2011.
Natalie's mum and dad Eileen and Eddie launched the fundraising initiative following the unexplained death of their daughter, who had epilepsy.
The foundation has kept Natalie's memory alive while raising money for Epilepsy Scotland.

The annual golf tournament at Wishaw Golf Club is the fundraising highlight of the year and featured a top-prize of a brand new car, courtesy of Park's Renault Motherwell, as a prize for a hole-in-one at one of the greens.
Before this year's tournament the total raised stood at more than £160,000 and the committee hoped to take that to around the £170,000 mark.
However, this year's event raised an incredible record total of £16,153 in the East Kilbride girl's memory.
Around 140 golfers took part in 35 teams of four, with a Renault Clio Evolution TCe 90 up for grabs for a hole-in-one, worth almost £20,000.
No one managed to take the top prize but that didn't stop anyone from enjoying a fantastic day.
Tournament winners were Liam McGarry and Paul McMahon, who also had the best back nine, runners-up were Tam Wotherspoon and Grant Robertson, and finishing in third place were Brian Donahue and George Campbell.
There was also a tournament within the tournament this year and the Natalie Hughes Cup, courtesy of Epilepsy Scotland, was presented to Wullie McCulloch who had the best individual score on the day.

Coatbridge dad tears muscle during his second Edinburgh marathon after breaking foot in first effort

Lee Dornan could be forgiven for hating the Edinburgh marathon after breaking his foot during his first effort and tearing a muscle in his latest run - but says he would "do it all over again". The Coatbridge dad ran this year's event in five hours and 32 minutes for the Scottish Catholic International Aid Fund (SCIAF) charity, for whom he works as an accountant. Head to the App Store and never miss a beat in Lanarkshire - iOS - Android For Lee this is an improvement on his 2023 Edinburgh Marathon effort, when he broke two bones in his feet and completed the run in bare feet. Lee, 36, who is married with three daughters, said: "At least once a year, do something you absolutely hate. You'll appreciate it, later. "I felt great until mile 16 and then it all fell apart. Slowly. "I ran the marathon in five hours and 32 minutes. I only managed 28 miles of training this year, so I am delighted with my time." Lee has visited Zambia and South Sudan in the course of his work with SCIAF for the past three years in the charity's Glasgow office. The marathon is also SCIAF's contribution towards the 'Relay of Hope,' a global moment when organisations around the world are taking actions to draw attention to the global debt crisis. SCIAF ran its "Relay of Hope" in Edinburgh, calling for cancellation of crippling debts which trap countries in cycles of poverty. Eight SCIAF staff, including Lee, ran on the day, many of whom were part of the relay teams. Lee added: 'It was nice running with my good friend Jonathan and young Thomas Everett, even though they abandoned me after 0.25 miles. "I always wear SCIAF gear when running. It just takes one set of eyes to see the SCIAF logo and the pain and hurt in my eyes and for them to go on the website and maybe support us. "I may have had my problems during the two marathons but I would do it all again next year to support SCIAF." Owner of fire-ravaged Scots garage claims three businesses are gutted by blaze
It is understood the fire ripped through scrapyard Wishaw Auto breakers and has caused extensive damage to three buildings and a number of vehicles on the yard. The owner of a fire-ravaged Scots garage has said he has no idea what caused the devastating blaze which is understood to have gutted three businesses in a Motherwell industrial estate. Mindagas Virketis told Lanarkshire Live a huge fire erupted at a car repair centre in Biggar Road Industrial estate which has now spread to neighbouring businesses and is believed to have destroyed three premises under his tenancy. It is understood the fire ripped through scrapyard Wishaw Auto breakers and has caused extensive damage to three buildings and a number of vehicles on the yard. Scottish Fire and Rescue have confirmed no one was injured in the incident. Firefighters were on the scene at the industrial estate in Cleland on Tuesday afternoon, where flames and thick plumes of smoke could be seen billowing into the sky. Police urged people to avoid the area as a road closure was in place at the junction with Bellside Road. Mr Virketis, who was there when the fire started, said: "We don't know what has caused this, we're still trying to find out. "I'm the owner and I was there when the fire started. I'm renting the building to tenants who were not there. "I saw the shutters were closed and wanted to find out if anyone was in the garage so I phoned the tenants. "Everything was burned before the firefighters started putting water on it. They couldn't get a supply of water because there's no water supply in the industrial estate so it took one hour-and-a-half to get the water from the main road which is what has caused the big fire. "It's a car repair garage that went on fire - three different businesses under the one roof and I don't know how many cars. It looks accidental but we will hopefully find out what's happened in the next day or two." Local councillor Louise Roarty, depute leader of North Lanarkshire Council, shared a video of the blaze and claimed fires are a "regular occurrence" at the site. She added that the fire service attended the fire "within minutes". She said: "It's a regular occurrence unfortunately. I thought at first it was tyres on fire, until I received the drone footage. Nobody has been injured and that's the main thing. "The fire service was there within minutes." A Scottish Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson said: "We were alerted at 9.37am on Tuesday, May 27, to reports of a building fire in Cleland, near Motherwell. "Operations Control mobilised six appliances to the town's Biggar Road, where firefighters were met by a fire involving an industrial unit. "Crews remain on scene working to extinguish the fire. "There are no reported casualties." A police spokesperson said: "Emergency services are dealing with a fire at Biggar Road Industrial Estate, Motherwell.
