Daily Faceoff's Matt Larkin has released his annual top 300 fantasy hockey player rankings ahead of the 2025–26 NHL season, and the Toronto Maple Leafs have eight players on the list.
The rankings factor in multi-category production, positional value, and projected roles heading into the season. While familiar names made the cut, there were a few surprises in terms of both placement and omissions.
Auston Matthews tops fantasy hockey rankings, William Nylander and Matthew Knies also among top Toronto Maple Leafs picks for 2025–26 NHL season
Auston Matthews was the highest-ranked Maple Leaf, coming in at No. 10 overall. Despite questions surrounding his recent injury history and the departure of Mitch Marner, Larkin sees potential for a strong bounce-back campaign.
William Nylander followed at No. 19, largely due to his offensive consistency and projected increased role in the post-Marner lineup.
Matthew Knies landed at No. 59, thanks to a breakout season that featured 29 goals and 182 hits. While his power-play production was limited, his physical play and potential for increased ice time made him a standout mid-round fantasy pick. John Tavares slotted in at No. 80 after a 38-goal season, although his age and elevated shooting percentage were noted as concerns.

Leafs fantasy depth includes Anthony Stolarz, Joseph Woll, Morgan Rielly, and Matias Maccelli
Goaltender Anthony Stolarz came in at No. 88, earning recognition as Toronto's top-ranked netminder. His numbers from last season closely mirrored those of Connor Hellebuyck, but injury concerns and his tandem role tempered expectations. Joseph Woll followed at No. 154, while Morgan Rielly and Matias Maccelli landed at Nos. 210 and 243, respectively.
In addition to the eight ranked Leafs, three others, Easton Cowan, Bobby McMann, and Max Domi were named as bubble players who could break through with strong starts to the season.
With eight players ranked in the top 300, the Maple Leafs remain a key team to watch in fantasy hockey heading into 2025–26. While stars like Matthews and Nylander remain reliable options, emerging talent like Knies and solid depth picks in net give fantasy managers several Toronto-based options across all draft tiers.

On Sunday, August 3, 2025, Donald responded to a post on Instagram saying, 'That D-line would be unreal,' after a fan asked how he'd feel if the Rams traded for Parsons. The former defensive tackle also added he'd 'have to get back in shape.' This surprise message came right after Micah Parsons publicly said he wanted to leave Dallas. Micah Parsons, a four-time Pro Bowl player, is in a tense contract dispute with the Cowboys. Just days ago, he shocked fans and teams alike by saying he 'no longer wants to be here.' NHL drama heats up: Toronto Maple Leafs keep Nick Robertson as Auston Matthews eyes a deeper playoff run

The latest decision by the franchise, led by superstar center Auston Matthews, confirms that Nick Robertson is staying put. Despite weeks of speculation surrounding potential trades, the team is doubling down on its belief in the 22-year-old forward. All 15 Nicholas Robertson Goals in the 2024/25 Season + Playoffs Nick Robertson remains in Toronto despite trade buzz around the NHL Nick Robertson, selected 53rd overall in the 2019 NHL Draft, recently inked a new contract with the Maple Leafs after nearly entering arbitration. While veterans like Calle Jarnkrok and David Kampf are still on the books and rumored to be available, Toronto's front office has shown clear hesitation in parting ways with their younger assets, especially Robertson. The reason? It's all about potential and timing. While Robertson's NHL numbers haven't skyrocketed yet, 22 points in 69 games last season, his age and untapped ceiling make him an appealing piece for a franchise seeking longevity and speed. Compared to Kampf (29) and Jarnkrok (32), Robertson offers nearly a decade of extra time to develop and contribute at a high level. And even with limited ice time, he's shown flashes of skill and scoring instincts that suggest more is to come. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like She Was The Dream Girl In The 1980s, Here She Is Now. Adam Lowry's proposal to Laura Quinton reflects years of quiet commitment Over the years, the relationship between Adam Lowry and Laura Quinton has enjoyed some degree of privacy. After meeting in Winnipeg, where Quinton grew up, the two quietly laid down a strong foundation. Their relationship grew stronger, even though Lowry had an intense schedule being in the NHL for 11 years with the Jets. Lowry selected the offseason to get down on one knee at last. Few details were revealed by the couple about their special moment together, but from that personal Instagram post came hints of a very strong relationship they shared out of the public eye. Laura Quinton and Adam Lowry are managing life from the provinces Originally from St. Louis, Lowry was raised in Calgary and typically would spend his offseasons there. Quinton, in contrast, is very much rooted in the capital of Manitoba, where she continues working as a tech professional. Though living apart at times in Canada, the two found a workable balance between professional and personal life. Their union reflects a bumper-to-bumper amalgamation of Western and Central Canadian life—the tranquility of Calgary and the charm provided by Winnipeg. Time will tell where the nuptials will be held—both, however, are near and dear to their hearts.
