Mikel Arteta lands surprise new role alongside Arsenal position

Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta has vowed to help 'disrupt the game at the top level' after landing a surprise new role with a sportswear company. Arteta has been appointed global ambassador and direct of performance at Under Armour, with the Spaniard to work in the position alongside his role at the Gunners. The company said Arteta, 43, would provide guidance on product development, talent identification and leadership. He will also 'bring elite leadership, tactical insight and a relentless drive for performance to the brand's global vision', they said. 'The collaboration with Under Armour is the perfect opportunity for me to work with a partner committed to making young athletes better,' Arteta said. 'I'm passionate about providing a platform for the next generation of players coming through in football and the top level of talent already signed with the brand show that they are too. 'We share the same mentality in always striving for more by finding new ways to innovate and disrupt the game at the top level. Our values in pursuing greatness are closely aligned and together, I'm confident we're going to achieve great things in football.' The announcement comes just days ahead of the new Premier League season. Arteta's side will aim to go one better than their second place in the previous three campaigns. They begin the 2025-26 season with a visit to Old Trafford to take on Manchester United on Sunday. Arsenal have splurged £208million on revamping Arteta's squad, including the £64m signing of highly-rated striker Viktor Gyokeres.

Horse racing tips: ‘More to come after a big personal best' – Templegate's unstoppable Wednesday NAP

TEMPLEGATE tackles Wednesday's action looking to build the bank for another big weekend of racing. Back a horse by clicking their odds below. GLADIADORA (3.00 Salisbury, nap) Clocked a big personal best when winning very nicely at Bath earlier this month. She was always up with the pace and showed a good turn of foot to pull nicely clear of her rivals. That effort came over this mile on quick ground and the handicapper has been more than fair with a 2lb hike in the weights. Taylor Fisher stays on board and his 3lb claim will come in handy. CROWN OF LIGHT (2.30 Salisbury, nb). Can shine under William Buick. The Norwegian has a decent strike-rate when riding for trainer William Knight and they team up with this youngster who scored nicely here last time out. ANJO BONITA (4.45 Beverley, treble) Hit the crossbar when second at Pontefract last time and saves her best for this trip. She has dropped below her last winning mark and can strike. TORALOU (8.25 Ffos Las, Lucky 15) She is lightly raced for her age and went close in a better race than this at Windsor last time. A 1lb rise in the weights gives her a big say. England cricketer wanted to put OnlyFans logo on his bat

England fast bowler Tymal Mills has been prohibited from displaying a logo for his OnlyFans account on his bat during The Hundred cricket competition. Mills, who recently joined the platform, had sought approval from the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) to feature the logo. The request was denied as organisers believe OnlyFans does not align with the family-friendly values promoted by The Hundred. It is understood that Mills, a player for Southern Brave understands the decision. Mills had previously stated his OnlyFans channel would offer a 'closer, more personal look into life as a professional cricketer' with 'completely safe' content.
