Morgan Wallen Explains SNL Walk-Off
If the phrase 'Get me to God's country' means anything to you, then I'm sure you heard about Morgan Wallen's controversial Saturday Night Live walk-off a few weeks ago.
For a quick refresher, Morgan was the musical guest for the March 29 episode of SNL, which was hosted by Mikey Madison. Everything seemed to go perfectly fine until the very end of the episode when, instead of hanging around to chat and congratulate the cast on yet another good show, Morgan abruptly walked off the stage.
Having already given the impression he couldn't get out of the studio fast enough, the country singer then followed up by posting an IG story of his private jet with the caption: 'Get me to God's country,' which is a phrase now permanently embedded in my daily lexicon.
The whole thing caused quite the stir: viewers were confused, and it sounds like the SNL cast certainly didn't love it either. In fact, Morgan's exit was the subject of numerous jokes on the following episode, which probably gives you an idea of how his behavior was received in the writers' room.
Amid all the backlash, a source told Variety that, despite how it may have appeared, Morgan did enjoy his time on SNL and hadn't meant to offend anyone. And now, following reports that he refused to take part in a sketch on the show, Morgan has finally weighed in on the controversy.
Appearing on a recent episode of Sundae Conversation with Caleb Pressley — which, for the record, is very satirical — the 32-year-old was asked about the walk-off and whether the SNL cast made him 'mad,' to which he replied: 'No, I was ready to go home. I'd been there all week.'
Well, that much was obvious. Something tells me it might be a while before we see him back in Studio 8H. You can find the full conversation here.

Benny Blanco Opens Up About the Possibility of Touring With Selena Gomez
Benny Blanco and Selena Gomez married their sweet romantic relationship with their passion for making music when they dropped their joint album, I Said I Love You First, in March. During a recent appearance on the Hot Hits with Nic & Loren podcast, Benny revealed whether he and his fiancée would take hits like 'Bluest Flame' and 'Cowboy' out on the road with a tour supporting the album. 'That's like my worst nightmare. Doing live shows, like, anytime I had to do SNL or like AMAs I'm always just like, 'When's it over? When's it over?' I just want to be home on my couch,' he explained. The choice could potentially tie back to Selena's health complications, as she hasn't hit the road since 2016. According to People, she had to cut her Revival short due to complications from anxiety and depression as a side effect of lupus at the time. The Rare Beauty founder also revealed the likelihood of her going on tour during an interview with TIME earlier this year. 'Nothing makes me happier than 90 minutes of being with my fans and just celebrating together,' Selena shared, admitting that she feels '50/50' about touring. 'It is very emotionally draining for me. And then you realize you're just surrounded by a bunch of people that you're paying.' I Said I Love You First marks Selena's first full-length musical project since she released Rare in 2020, and while there are no plans for the couple to tour, they have performed a slew of tracks from the record for Vevo Extended Play. The live performance video includes 'How Does It Feel to Be Forgotten,' 'Scared of Loving You,' and 'Sunset Blvd.' Get your Selena and Benny live fix below:

Beyoncé's Daughter Rumi Carter Celebrates Her 8th Birthday Onstage at the Cowboy Carter Tour
Beyoncé's Gemini twins, Rumi and Sir Carter, are celebrating a new milestone. The pop star's two youngest children turn 8 today, and to celebrate, she wished them a happy birthday at last night's Cowboy Carter Tour stop in London at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium. During the performance of 'Protector,' the segment of the show where Rumi joins her mom and sister Blue Ivy onstage, Beyoncé told screaming fans, 'Everybody say Happy Birthday, Rumi.' In a video posted on X, Blue, 13, is seen cradling Rumi's chin as the crowd screams. 'Say happy birthday, Sir,' Beyoncé continued. 'Mommy loves you!' Rumi then turned around and gave her mom a big hug. In a recent rare interview with GQ, Beyoncé opened up about being a mom of three. 'Raising three kids isn't easy,' she said. 'The older they get, the more they become their own individuals with unique needs, hobbies, and social lives. My twins are God-sent. Parenting constantly teaches you about yourself. It takes a lot of prayer and patience. I love it. It's grounding and fulfilling.' She added, 'My kids come with me everywhere I go. They come to my office after school, and they are in the studio with me. They are in dance rehearsals. It's natural that they would learn my choreography.' Mrs. Carter and her daughters will perform in London again tomorrow and Monday night before heading to Paris on June 19. There's still time to get tickets. Click here for more.
