74 days until the Texans' 2025 season opener: Who has worn No.74?
The Houston Texans are less than 100 days away from kicking off the 2025 season in Los Angeles against the Rams at SoFi Stadium and we're counting down the days until a victory ensues on the west coast.
Texans Wire will each day tell you which player has worn the number of the day leading up to kickoff and pick the player who ensured the number best during their time at NRG Stadium. As for today, let's take a look at who has won No. 74 since the inaugural season in 2002.
Texans players to wear No. 74
No. 74 currently belongs to offensive tackle Cam Robinson, who signed a one-year deal this offseason to compete for a starting job in place of five-time Pro Bowl left tackle Laremy Tunsil. While the Texans did draft Tay Ersery with a top 60 pick, he's not expected to start on the blindside in Week 1. Even though Robinson struggled in pass protection during his time with the Minnesota Vikings, he's a veteran who should at least stablize the loss of Tunsil for several weeks.
Since Robinson hasn't taken a snap yet wearing the No. 74, he doesn't qualify for the G.O.A.T., but given a small list of quality names, check back in this time next year if all goes according to plan. There are only two names that probably would check off enough boxes to fit the criteria.
Best Player: No one
Even after considering Sharping and Lamm, I can't bring myself to pick one option. Entering this season, everyone is on an even playing field. Maybe Robinson will take over the mantle next offseason, but entering this year, no one has done enough to even qualify as a conversation starter.

Robert Kraft reveals greatest moment in Patriots history
There have been numerous memorable moments for the New England Patriots throughout the franchise's history. When you think of all of the Super Bowl titles, epic playoff games and major divisional victories, it's hard to pick just one moment as the best. Patriots owner Robert Kraft couldn't name his favorite Super Bowl because they're all special in their own right, but he did offer up his greatest moment with the team. That moment was at Super Bowl XXXVI when the underdog Patriots defeated the St. Louis Rams and "The Greatest Show on Turf." It was February 3, 2002. The Patriots went head-to-head with a stalwart Rams team that included the likes of quarterback Kurt Warner, running back Marshall Faulk and wide receivers Isaac Bruce and Torry Holt. Offensively, the Rams were a juggernaut, averaging 31.4 points per game and 418.1 yards per game. They recorded 503 total points and 6,930 offensive yards. 'Well, there's one thing about when you dream of owning a team, and then you want to win," Kraft told ESPN's Adam Schefter on The Adam Schefter Podcast. "When we went to the Super Bowl in the 2001 season, four months after 9/11, and the country was so messed up, and we were the largest underdog against 'The Greatest Show on Turf', the St. Louis Rams. I'll never forget seeing the clock tick down as Adam Vinatieri makes the kick as time runs out, and we win the Super Bowl. It was just unbelievable." The Patriots upsetting the Rams was a magical moment because it kick-started the greatest dynasty in NFL history. It was also the first Super Bowl win for legendary quarterback Tom Brady and kicker Adam Vinatieri. That moment was extra special because it signaled that Kraft and the Patriots had finally made it. They became a championship team. Follow Patriots Wire on Twitter and Facebook.

Should the Seahawks sign free-agent guard Shaq Mason?
The Seattle Seahawks finally agreed to terms with free-agent cornerback Shaquill Griffin on Wednesday. Griffin had long been rumored to reunite with the Seahawks this offseason. General manager John Schneider officially closed that deal. By doing so, Schneider proved he's open to considering veteran upgrades to the roster before training camp opens. One potentially intriguing option is free-agent guard Shaq Mason. Brandon Thorn, creator of Trench Warfare and offensive line play enthusiast, recently highlighted how effective Mason still is at this point in his career. Mason played 931 snaps at right guard for the Houston Texans last season. The experienced blocker earned a stellar pass-blocking grade of 65.2 from Pro Football Focus. Mason would have easily been Seattle's best performing interior offensive lineman last season. The real question here is how much faith Schneider possesses in the ongoing positional battle at right guard. Anthony Bradford and Christian Haynes are competing for that spot for a second consecutive offseason. Neither player maximized that opportunity last season. The Seahawks are banking on another year of experience, paired with new position coach John Benton, to better develop Bradford and Haynes. If Schneider and Mike Macdonald run out of patience with Bradford and Haynes, they should strongly consider adding Mason via a one-year deal. The Seahawks are in a competitive window, having added veterans like Griffin, Cooper Kupp, DeMarcus Lawrence, and Sam Darnold via free agency. Mason would be an upgrade at right guard, but the Seahawks appear invested in Haynes and Bradford (for now).
