A premier venue for fashion brands, the Met Gala highlighted the work of both major fashion brands and independent designers in its 2025 edition. Following the theme 'Superfine: Tailoring Black Style,' celebrity guests lent their likability to different labels and creatives, boosting their sales and social media numbers from the red carpet event.
Costume designer Paul Tazewell, who collaborated with Thom Browne on Janelle Monáe's optical illusion dress and designed Chappell Roan's pink suit, benefited from online discussions. According to a report from Trendalytics, Tazewell's social media accounts saw an engagement increase of 38,471 percent on the day of the gala.

Grace Wales Bonner, who dressed Lewis Hamilton, Tyler Mitchell, Regina King and others, followed the Broadway costumer, ranking second in social media engagement with an increase of 25,143 percent. Chanel, represented by Dua Lipa and Jennie, among others, came in third with a hike of 10,317 percent.
Thom Browne, who created custom looks for more than 15 attendees, including Lorde and Demi Moore, saw its online resale demand increase by 85 percent on The RealReal, leading among other designers on the platform. According to a report from the luxury resale e-commerce site, the post-gala demand also saw increases of 55 percent for Alaïa, worn by Miley Cyrus, and 45 percent for Miu Miu, worn by Gigi Hadid.
When it comes to star power, Prabal Gurung scored high by dressing Diljit Dosanjh. According to Launchmetrics, the Indian singer was the top voice of the event, generating $2.8 million in media impact value in 48 hours. The Nepalese designer also dressed Colombian singer Shakira, who earned the gala $2.09 million in MIV in the same time frame.
Other highlights of the 2025 gala included Sergio Hudson, who created looks for 19 people for the soiree, including Stevie Wonder and Rachel Brosnahan, and Louis Vuitton. The French label collaborated with an extensive list of guests that included viral looks from Sabrina Carpenter, Lisa and Zendaya, and its menswear creative director, Pharrell Williams, who was one of the co-chairs of the night.

Dune 3 gets an exciting filming update which will reassure fans
Dune fans who are eagerly awaiting the third instalment will be pleased to hear that filming should be underway very, very soon. According to Deadline, filming on Dune 3 will begin in July which tracks with previous reports that the production was aiming for a summer start. Last July Dune 3's release date was confirmed for 18 December, 2026 and hopefully the film should still be on track to come out as planned. Dune 3 will see Timothée Chalamet, Zendaya and Florence Pugh all returning to the franchise. Pugh's character Princess Irulan is expected to take on a bigger role in the third instalment with director Denis Villeneuve previously comparing her importance to Zendaya's character Chani. I do the same with Florence, I just introduced her in Part Two and if there's a Dune Messiah, she becomes one of the main characters." One more surprising name that will also be back is Jason Momoa whose character Duncan Idaho died in the first movie and was not present in the second. 'People are travelling for our food': India takeaway go viral for 'tangy' treat
A Viral Indian food spot is among the top 10 finalists for the Glasgow Times' Best Takeaway. Asian Tandoori, based in Cambuslang, is in the running alongside Catch (Netherlee), Chippy Mahal (Kilsyth), Clay Oven Tandoori (Giffnock), Kam Wa Chinese (Glasgow), Levant (Glasgow), Rowans Deli (Glasgow), Spring Garden (Clydebank), The Kraken Chippy (Cambuslang) and Umairs (East Kilbride). 'We're so delighted to be recognised and to reach the final, it's very good news,' Adam Ahmed told the Glasgow Times. Beloved Restaurant Owned by 'Top Chef' Winner Closing After 15 Years
It's the end of an era for a beloved Japanese-inspired restaurant in Austin, TX. East Side King owner Paul Qui announced that he's hanging up his apron at that joint after 15 years in business. The popular joint on South Lamar will close its doors for the last time on June 7. The restaurant's food truck already shuttered on May 31. Qui, who won Bravo's Top Chef Texas, said it's not exactly a total goodbye. The company will still offer catering, but it's brick-and-mortar, along with the food truck, will be a thing of the past. "We are here for a good time not a long time and it's our time. East Side King is officially hanging up their apron and will be celebrating two final week of service," Qui shared on social media. "We have been honored to serve the Austin community for over 15 years and want to give a really big effing thank you to all the incredible people we have worked with along the way! and all the fantastic customers who kept us going! and especially all the support we have received from the weirdest community in Texas. We love yall so much. Come through and get your tori fix, say what's up to moto and take a pic with the tanuki. This isn't goodbye but see ya l8r sk8r." Qui's not exactly parting with the location, however, According to reports, the building will be converted into Roselle Pizzeria and open its doors sometime in September. And the kitchen staff will remain intact. If Qui's name rings a bell it's because, back in early 2016, he was enjoying immense success building an empire that included a chic hotel in Miami. But the James Beard Award winner ran into trouble in March of that year, when he was arrested by Austin police after he was accused of assaulting his girlfriend at their apartment. According to Eater Austin, Qui smashed a phone, broke a coffee table and injured himself in the process. Following his arrest, Qui denied in an interview with the Austin American-Statesman that he punched his girlfriend, whom cops alleged was found with a bruised arm and a swollen jaw. But more than two years later, the assault charges filed against Qui were dropped after the embattled chef's girlfriend refused to cooperate with prosecutors. Nevertheless, East Side King's sudden closure was met with shock and sadness. One patron commented on the IG post, "Damn. I would eat there once a week. Please gimme the recipe for the beet fries... 😢." Another added, "Just fell to my knees 💔💔💔 when I was broke, experiencing my first familial death and in between moves/jobs I started working on E. 6th and lived on the liberty rice lol. Such a simple menu item but that $4 (huge) rice portion and a patio beer + cig was all I had to look forward to most days. Local trucks mean SO MUCH to the community, you'll be missed but never forgotten ❤️ forever THE kings of the east side."
