Araghchi: Grossi's deputy will arrive in Tehran tomorrow, will not visit any site before framework is reached
Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi announced on Sunday that the Deputy Director General of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), Massimo Aparo, will arrive in Tehran tomorrow, stressing: "There is no plan to visit any site unless a framework is reached."
In a statement to reporters on the sidelines of a cabinet meeting, Araghchi said: "There will be no visit to any site before a framework is reached, and cooperation will not begin. This framework will be based on the law of the Shura Council."
Regarding contacts between Iran and the Europeans, he explained: "Our contacts with the Europeans are ongoing. They raised the issue of the immediate restoration of sanctions (the trigger mechanism), and our position is that this mechanism is no longer relevant. From our perspective, Europe is not considered a party to the nuclear agreement. There are, of course, technical and legal discussions, and my colleagues are in contact with the Europeans, but no date has been set for any next round of negotiations."

In media remarks, Iraqchi stated: - "The idea of disarming Hezbollah is not new—it has been proposed before for well-known reasons, primarily the effectiveness of the resistance's weapons on the battlefield." - "Some parties have recently revived this plan, mistakenly believing Hezbollah has weakened. However, the decisive stance expressed by Hezbollah's Secretary-General in a strong statement has thwarted these attempts." Whatsapp Telegram Email Print
