Masela said the event offers a safe space for women to be seen, heard, and supported, values that align closely with her work as a sex and intimacy coach. 'Each year, I see women growing, asking deeper questions and wanting more for themselves. That shift is powerful,' she shared.
She also said that she hopes every woman walks away from her session feeling empowered and affirmed.
'I want her to leave knowing she is not broken. She is allowed to feel good. She is allowed to ask for more. And most importantly, she is not alone. Whether you're married, single, shy or bold, you deserve to feel sexy, strong and free. That's what Spicey Luscious is here to support: being a boss in the boardroom, a fashionista in the streets, and spicey in the bedroom!'
Masela noted that the stigma around sex and pleasure is gradually fading, as more women are becoming open and confident about their needs. Where many once reached out privately with fear or shame, they now engage publicly, ask questions without hesitation, and attend her sessions with friends. Through her work at Spicey Luscious, she's observed a growing number of women embracing their desires, purchasing products for themselves, and rejecting societal norms that once silenced them. This shift, she said, marks a powerful step toward women prioritising their own joy and wellbeing.
She recalled two standout moments in her journey as a sex coach. One involved a 46-year-old woman who, after years of marriage without ever experiencing an orgasm, attended one of her sessions. With some gentle guidance and recommended products, the woman later shared that she had finally discovered her pleasure. Another moment came from a man who was working at the event and had brought his wife along. He later expressed gratitude, saying he had never seen his wife so energised and eager after listening to the session, a sign, for Masela, that simply shifting the mindset was already a powerful result.
The intimacy coach urged women to begin their journey to self-connection with small, gentle steps. This might involve appreciating their bodies in the mirror, spending a few moments breathing and checking in with themselves, or exploring informative content on the Spicey Luscious website without any pressure. Wearing a favourite lingerie set, like Spicey fishnet stockings, can also help ignite this process. The key is to start with a simple 'yes', choosing to prioritise themselves and add a little spice to their lives.
Women can connect with Kgomotso Masela (Spicey Luscious) on Instagram, Facebook, and TikTok @spiceyluscious or visit her website at spiceyluscious.com for coaching, tips, and products to embrace their sensuality and confidence.

The Choice is Yours returns to ignite inspiration among Gauteng's women
Gauteng's women are gearing up for one of the year's most anticipated celebrations of empowerment and resilience. The Choice is Yours returns, ready to ignite inspiration, foster healing, and spark genuine connection, a transformative event that continues to uplift and unite women across the province. Set to take place on September 6, at the Maracana venue in Sandton, The Choice is Yours will be headlined by award-winning comedian and actress Celeste Ntuli. The event will showcase powerful voices and talents like Motso Spicey Luuscious, Enhle The Medium, DJ Nkosh, Sister in Law Tebello, Shaz Motaung, and Noxolo Zungu. Making her third appearance as a guest speaker, Tebello Motshwane, Managing Director of Sister in Law, is dedicated to empowering women through legal education on family, labour, and business law. 'The Choice is Yours is a powerful platform that celebrates women while equipping them with the knowledge to make informed decisions about their lives and families.' She added that the event covers a broad range of topics, including financial wellness, mental health, beauty, and fashion, aligning closely with Sister in Law's mission to support and uplift women. Motshwane also stated that she will be unpacking the importance of registering customary marriages. She will also highlight the serious legal consequences of improperly ending such marriages, especially concerning inheritance rights. With its audience expanding each year, Motshwane emphasised that The Choice is Yours has evolved into a safe space where women openly share their vulnerabilities, learn from each other's experiences, and gain valuable insights from expert speakers, especially on legal issues many had previously overlooked. 'The most powerful feedback we receive is from women who realise there are legal issues they previously overlooked but now feel motivated to seek the support and resources needed to transform their lives,' she added. Motshwane recalled a moment from the previous The Choice is Yours event that reinforced the importance of her legal role. She noted that the questions from audience members revealed how much of the information shared on their platform is unfamiliar to many women, yet incredibly valuable. She explained that Sister-in-Law's impact grows as women share what they learn with others, spreading knowledge beyond event attendees. This curiosity leads more women to seek information through their platforms. DJ Nkosh Brings the Beat to Celebrate Women's Power at ‘The Choice is Yours' 2025
Masabata Mkwananzi | Published 3 hours ago The Star is gearing up to honour the power, resilience, and achievements of women at its highly anticipated annual event, The Choice is Yours. This year's celebration invites women from all walks of life to connect, uplift one another, spotlight their remarkable contributions across society, and proudly wear their crowns. With this year's theme, The Choice is Yours, the event will celebrate the power, freedom, and influence women hold in shaping their lives and the world around them. Guests can look forward to an uplifting programme packed with motivational speakers, dynamic panel discussions, live entertainment, and networking opportunities. Attendees will also be treated to exclusive goodie bags and stand a chance to win amazing prizes throughout the festivities, making it a day to remember. Bringing the vibe to this empowering celebration is none other than Nkosazana 'DJ Nkosh' Mayeye, who returns for the fourth year to light up the stage with her magnetic energy and unmatched talent on the decks. A crowd favourite, DJ Nkosh will once again keep the atmosphere electric as guests dance, connect, and celebrate the power of womanhood. Mayeye said being part of The Choice is Yours has evolved into something deeply meaningful. 'What started as just excitement to be involved in an event with such a powerful purpose has turned into a true connection,' she explained. 'Over the years, it's grown into something much deeper. I've connected more with the community, understood the energy of the event, and started to see how music can truly shift the atmosphere. It's gone from being a gig to a calling.' She added that having the opportunity to set the atmosphere through music is something she holds with great respect, as it allows her to play a role in uplifting women and helping them reconnect with their power. Mayeye reflected on a powerful moment from last year's event that deeply resonated with her, recalling the words of a speaker who said, 'We've survived so much, now we get to thrive.' 'That statement stayed with me,' she said, explaining that her set this year is inspired by that sentiment, focusing not just on survival, but on celebrating joy, freedom, and stepping boldly into one's power. She further revealed that one of her favourite moments at The Choice is Yours is when she plays a track that gets all the women on their feet doing a line dance together. 'I love playing music that brings about nostalgic moments for people,' she shared. Looking ahead to this year's set, Mayeye said she hopes to leave the audience feeling empowered, lighter, and filled with joy. She added that newcomers to the event should expect more than just music; her performance is designed as a soulful journey rooted in connection, emotion, and shared celebration. 'Music is medicine. It helps us feel seen, reminds us we're not alone, and lets us release what we've been carrying. My sets are a journey. It's about connection, music that moves you, stirs your emotions, and reminds you who you are. Whether you're there to dance, cry, or simply be present, there's space for you in that moment.' As The Choice is Yours continues to grow each year, DJ Nkosh envisions her role expanding beyond just performing. She hopes to contribute more creatively by curating a wellness and music experience or mentoring young female DJs as part of the event. For her, it's a long-term commitment, and she looks forward to evolving alongside the movement in meaningful and impactful ways.
