Watch: Cockroach Found On Food At Mumbai's Theobroma Outlet, Viral Video Sparks Outrage
A video posted on Reddit's @r/indiasocial thread has gone viral, leaving food lovers shocked, particularly in Mumbai. Uploaded by user 'Familiar-Guava-3123', the video shows a food display counter at Theobroma, a popular patisserie chain. It was reportedly filmed at the brand's Runwal Greens outlet in Mulund West, Mumbai. In the video, a tray labelled 'Spicy Paneer Rolls' is seen with a small cockroach crawling over the food. Several other items are also visible in the display and may have been exposed to the same contamination.
The user who shared the video on Reddit wrote, "I cannot believe that this is the condition of Theobroma. My friend and I visited today in the evening, and this is literally what we were going to place an order for."
According to the Reddit post, the customer alerted the staff after spotting the cockroach. "We did inform the staff and they did take the whole tray out in front of us, but we don't know what happened after we left," the post added.
The user concluded the post with a short warning to others: "Be careful guys."

All five accused in the Raja Raghuvanshi honeymoon killing - wife Sonam Raghuvanshi, her lover Kushwaha and three alleged hitmen Akash Rajput, Vishal Singh Chauhan and Anand Kurmi - have admitted to their crime, said the police on Friday. The Meghalaya Police would take all five accused in the case to the crime spot at Sohra-Cherrapunji areas of the East Khasi Hills district next week for reconstruction of the crime, officials said. The newly-wed couple - Sonam and Raja Raghuvanshi - from Madhya Pradesh's Indore went missing from a village near Sohra (Cherrapunji) in Meghalaya's East Khasi Hills district on May 23, two days after they landed in the northeastern state on their honeymoon. They were married on May 11. The man's body was retrieved from a 200-foot deep gorge on June 2. Wife Sonam, said police, surrendered at a police station in Uttar Pradesh in the early hours of Monday. "The murder was planned right before Raja Raghuvanshi and Sonam's wedding. Raj Kushwaha is the mastermind behind this and Sonam is his partner in crime. The three killers were Raj's friends, and one among them is his cousin," Superintendent of Police, East Khasi Hills, Syiem Vivek, who is overseeing the investigation, told NDTV. "Since February this year, the planning was going on about how to make Sonam disappear. Two ideas were under consideration to make her disappear: first, Sonam should be shown jumping into the river; second, someone should be murdered and the body should be burnt presented as Sonam's. But the accused could not implement these plans. The plan to murder Raja was made 11 days before his marriage," said the officer. Sonam Raghuvanshi, 24, was in love with Raj Kushwaha, 21, and had warned her family of "consequences" if she was pressured to marry Raja Raghuvanshi, police sources said. As per the preliminary autopsy report, Raja Raghuvanshi, 29, was hit twice, once each on the back and front of his head. "This is not a contract killing, however, an investigation regarding the same is underway. Raj had paid the three hitmen Rs 50,000 each," said the police officer. Raja Raghuvanshi was told by his wife Sonam that she would let him consummate the marriage only after making an offering at the Kamakhya Temple in Guwahati, investigators had said on Wednesday. "When Sonam and Raja reached Guwahati to visit Kamakhya after marriage, the killers had already reached Guwahati on 19 May. Their initial plan was to kill Raja in Guwahati itself. But Sonam had planned to go to Shillong and Sohra. Therefore, this plan was shelved," said the officer. "After that, they reached Nongriat. Thereafter, all of them attacked Raja and killed him and hid his body. They left soon after," said the officer. After this, the officer said, Sonam wore a burqa offered by one of the hitmen and reached Guwahati in a taxi. "Then from Guwahati she took a bus and went to Siliguri, from Siliguri she went to Patna, from Patna she took a bus to Ara, from Ara she took a train to Lucknow, from Lucknow she took a bus to Indore," said the officer, detailing her movements after the murder. "After the three hitmen were arrested, Sonam was told by Raj to leave Indore and tell her family that she was kidnapped," said the officer. The day Raja's body was found, on June 2, Sonam was in Indore, said the officer. Sonam was in Indore from June 25 to 8, the officer said. A Special Investigation Team (SIT) of the Meghalaya police is probing the sensational murder.

Man's Body Found In Ice-Cream Freezer: Timeline Of Tripura Murder Case
Agartala: Sariful Islam, 24, a resident of Agartala's Indranagar who works as an electrician in Tripura capital's Smart City project, was in a relationship with a 20-year-old college student from Chandrapur neighbourhood. But they were about to break up since both belonged to different faiths. Some seven months ago, the girl's cousin Dibakar Saha returned to Tripura from Bangladesh after completing an MBBS course and began studying for India's exam to get a medical practice licence. Dr Saha had been eyeing his cousin initially, and both started having intimate chats on the internet, which the police have seized as evidence. Sariful knew Dr Saha through his girlfriend. However, the doctor had plans to kill Sariful for a long time. A few months ago, he made the first murder attempt when he called Sariful to a place which they frequented. He mixed sleeping pills in fruit juice and gave it to Sariful, who reached home before the effects of the pills kicked in. Sariful then fell ill for many days, but did not doubt Dr Saha. Dr Saha also had another girlfriend, Nabanita Das, a postgraduate who was preparing for a teaching job. On June 8, Dr Saha invited Sariful to the house of Joydeep Das, a relative of the doctor, to accept a gift. Dr Saha also brought his girlfriend Nabanita Das and a common friend, Animesh Yadav, who is a BPharma student. After Sariful reached Joydeb Das' house in Indranagar, he and Dr Das had an altercation over the 20-year-old woman. After that, Dr Saha strangulated him. With the help of the others and using his medical knowledge, he put the body in plastic wrappers and tied the limbs with ropes. Two days earlier, he had bought a huge trolley bag. He put the body inside the bag and took it to the house of Mousumi, a friend of Nabanita Das. They told Mousumi that it contained Nabanita's personal items. The police are however looking at Mousumi's role too. The three then left Indranagar on an Uber Auto, whose driver the police have questioned. On June 9 morning, the police received a missing person complaint from Sariful's parents, after which a search and investigation began. The same morning, Dr Saha's parents came from their hometown Gandacherra in Tripura's Dhalia district, 120 km from Agartala. They took the trolley with them and dumped it under an ice cream freezer at their grocery shop in Gandacherra and locked the place. Dr Saha's father alone returned to Agartala the same evening. He began contacting right wing groups to turn the matter into a Hindu-Muslim couple love affairs case, police sources told NDTV. Led by West Tripura Superintendent of Police (SP) Kiran Kumar, the police launched a massive hunt for Sariful. From his phone records, the police found he made the last call to Dr Saha. When the police summoned him, Dr Saha behaved as if Sariful was his close friend and he was worried about the missing man. He told the police that he invited Sariful to give him a gift. The police then put him under surveillance. The first clue was the motorcycle of Sariful, which was found parked near Joydeep Das' house. When he was questioned, he too tried to mislead the cops. Sariful's family then told police about his relationship with a 20-year-old girl, who is a Hindu. When the police spoke to her, she said she had doubts about his cousin Dr Saha. Police took her phone and found chats that became the clinching evidence. Despite this, Dr Saha did not admit to the crime and tried to mislead the investigation again. The police then turned their attention to Nabanita Das, Dr Saha's girlfriend. When the police told her about Dr Saha's relationship with his 20-year-old cousin sister, Nabanita Das broke down and told the whole matter, following which the police detained her. On the night of June 9, the police detained Dr Saha, Animesh and Joydeep, and also Dr Saha's father. On June 10, the police took Dr Saha's father to Gandacherra and in the presence of a magistrate recovered the trolley from the ice cream freezer. They found the body inside. The police detained Dr Saha's mother too. When all the accused were cross questioned, Dr Saha admitted to the crime, the police said. The police on June 11 did a crime scene reconstruction and in the late evening announced the case to the media. The Tripura Police cracked the case within 24 hours of receiving a missing person complaint. They plan to take 10-day custody of the accused.

Hyderabad hospital CEO caught buying cocaine worth ₹5 lakh, arrested
Two people, including a 34-year-old female doctor were taken into custody here after 53 grams of cocaine was seized from their possession, police said. According to news agency PTI, based on credible information, a team of Raidurgam police caught the doctor and the man when he was handing over to her a packet of cocaine in the doctor's car near a restaurant on May 8. She had ordered the drugs from the Mumbai-based supplier, identified as Vansh Dhakkar, over WhatsApp and paid ₹5 lakh for it on May 4. When Dhakkar's aide Balakrishna was delivering the drugs, that's when the police caught hold of him and the doctor, NDTV reported. "A medical practitioner had ordered drugs from Vansh in Mumbai, who was known to her. A person called Balakrishna then came to supply (drugs) and handed them over to her at Raidurgam," senior police official Venkanna said. He further said that along with 53 grams of cocaine, police also seized from them ₹10,000 cash and two cell phones. Cases under relevant sections of the law have been registered against the accused, Venkanna said, adding that the duo have been sent to judicial custody. The doctor, who was allegedly addicted to drugs, confessed during interrogation that she had spent around ₹70 lakhs on drugs over some time. According to a report from The Hindu, the police collected a sample of the cocaine and sent it to the Telangana Forensic Science Laboratory (FSL) for analysis and examination. The Raidurgam police are also looking for another person, who is allegedly a local peddler involved in the drug trade. Recently, seizures made by the Mumbai unit of the Directorate of Revenue Intelligence (DRI) have indicated that narcotics-trafficking syndicates are now using air routes to smuggle high-value contraband like cocaine. From April 2024 to March 2025, the DRI's Mumbai unit seized more than 18 kilograms of foreign-origin cocaine estimated to be around ₹180 crore in 12 separate cases, HT reported.
