Allison Holker claims Stephen ‘tWitch' Boss left her $1 million tax bill after his death
In the book, which was released on Tuesday (February 4), the dancer speaks about the financial situation she was left in after the Ellen DeGeneres Show DJ's suicide in 2022.
'It's a misconception that I inherited Stephen's wealth,' she writes. 'The reality is quite different.'
She explains that Boss gave away 'substantial sums of money' to friends and family while also spending 'recklessly' on drugs in addition to 'his weird art collection.'
'The tax bill that he left me with for the year he died was $1 million,' Holker says.
She continues to claim she had no idea what her late husband's finances looked like when he died because the two of them had always had 'separate bank accounts' throughout their nine-year marriage.
'I had been under the impression that the arrangement was working just fine,' she continues. 'He managed his income, and I managed mine, and we divvied up the bills. Easy-peasy. Or so I thought.'
Holker says that dealing with the finances gave her a break from mourning, but she still considers herself to be 'in the trenches' over two years later.
'If he had known how much of our hard-earned money would go to pay lawyers' fees to clean up the mess he left me with, would it have made any difference?' she explains. 'I'd like to believe it would have. Stephen left me with double the work, double the noise, double the hardships, double the confusion — and half the household earnings.'
In addition to her memoir, Holker also recently appeared on The Jamie Kern Lima Show podcast where she said Boss 'never healed' after he went on an 'Ayahuasca journey' before he died.
'I think it was a very big turning point for him. I feel like his heart was never really in the same place when he came back,' she said. 'He could still find joy and he could still go day-by-day putting on his face and getting through the days, but there was something missing in his eyes.'
A powerful hallucinogenic brew made from rainforest plants, Ayahuasca has been used for centuries by indigenous communities in the Amazon in shamanic medicine.
The Alcohol and Drug Foundation states it can cause hallucinations and distorted senses that can affect a 'person's thinking, sense of time, and emotions.'
'It just kind of feels like he opened something up to himself that he never healed. And never fully escaped,' the dancer continued.
Holker tied the knot with the DJ in 2013. During their marriage, the couple welcomed two children: Maddox, nine, and Zaia, six. Boss also ended up adopting Holker's 16-year-old daughter, Weslie Fowler.

Gladiators' Zack George and his wife Samantha break down recounting the devastating loss of their son Leo as star reveals the gruelling challenge he is taking on in his memory
Gladiators ' Zack George and his wife Samantha broke down as they recounted the devastating loss of their baby on BBC Breakfast on Saturday morning. The TV personality, who is also a father to daughter Ivy, two, welcomed his son Leo into the world on 26th March 2025 when he was just 23 weeks old. However 13 days later Zack announced the tragic news of his son's death, after Leo suffered complications including brain bleeds, collapsed lungs and a hole in his heart. And speaking in the candid interview, Zach opened up about a special moment he shared with his newborn and revealed the gruelling challenge he is taking on in his memory. Zack explained: 'I didn't actually hold him for the first days. 'A really special moment is that when he was in the incubator and his oxygen levels dipped or his blood pressure dipped, if we were sitting next to him and we touched him and was speaking with him, we would instantly see his stats improve. 'I think that was a really special moment, he knew who his mum and dad were and he knew you were there.' Zack explained that he is taking on the 13 Days Fighting' Burpee Challenge in memory of Leo. It will consist of completing a mile of burpees every day for 13 consecutive days, from August 18 until 30 this year, in different locations across the UK. The challenge is proudly supported by Currys, who will be joining Zack on his journey to raise awareness and funds for the Leicester Hospital NICU. In addition to their support, Currys will be donating up to £5,000 worth of tech equipment for family and staff rooms within the unit, helping create a more comfortable and supportive environment for both parents and healthcare workers. The funds raised through the 13-day challenge will go towards equipment, support services, and improvements to the NICU at Leicester Hospital - the hospital that gave Leo his 13 precious days and cared for him around the clock. His appearance on the BBC show comes after Zack and his wife broke down in tears recounting the devastating loss of their baby son on Tuesday's episode of Loose Women. Zack and Samantha took to the panel to open up to Ruth Langsford, 65, Coleen Nolan, 60, Myleene Klass, 47, and Katie Piper, 41, about their loss. Their bravery to talk about such a sensitive subject really hit home to Myleene, who has been very open about her miscarriages in the past and has been honoured for her services to women's health, miscarriage awareness and charity. Ruth said: 'Myleene, you're sitting there holding hands with Samantha, it is so devastating.' Myleene paused and gathered herself before saying: 'I am so so sorry. I think that you are so brave.' She continued: 'So brave. The fact that you can say the words four months later.' Ruth pointed out that the couple, who tied the knot last year, want to honor his memory to make something positive come out of the heartbreaking situation. The fitness fanatic will be taking part in a challenge where he will be doing a mile of burpees every day for 13 days. Zack explained: 'When Leo eventually passed away, the way I have to deal with grief, I have to have something positive come out of the situation. 'I couldn't, we just lost our baby boy, nothing else, nothing positive had come from this. 'I had to try and turn it into a positive somehow and get some good out of it. 'So straight away I just thought of a challenge. He was with us for 13 days, I know you mentioned Sam held Leo, one of my biggest regrets was that I was a bit too scared to hold him. 'He was so small and fragile. I never held him until the very last day. 'That evening, things weren't looking good. 'We came in. He kind of waited for us. 'That's the only time we got to hold him, when he passed away.' Samantha said: 'He did pass away when Zack was holding him.' 'It's a magical moment, but no parent should hold him until his heart stops beating,' Zack said holding back the tears. Zack continued later: 'We're hoping that the challenge will raise awareness. 'So I am going to be doing a burpe mile every day for 13 days straight.' Myleene asked where she could donate, to which he explained: 'We have Leo and Friends, which we set up, it's got a website, Leo and Friends Foundation. 'We've got our Instagrams as well, where the link is there. I just want to spread awareness for premature baby loss as much as possible. 'We've had so many people reach out to us and say thank you for talking about it, because they've gone through the same thing.' 'Mathematical' karaoke booths pop up at Edinburgh Fringe aiming to boost mental health
Karaoke booths are launching at Edinburgh Fringe inviting attendees to belt out songs mathematically proven to increase people's moods. Kathartic Karaoke booths, launched by mental health charity Samaritans and mobile network Three, invite music fans to tap into the proven mood-boosting power of singing – featuring a science-backed playlist of feel-good hits. Oxford University Professor Dr Tom Crawford crunched the numbers to uncover the songs most mathematically proven to increase dopamine levels, with Livin' On a Prayer, I Wanna Dance with Somebody and Don't Look Back in Anger coming out on top. Dr Tom devised a formula which grades each song with a score out of 100 (K). In the equation, which was developed using data from 2,000 karaoke lovers, V refers to the number of verses, C repetition of chorus, BPM to the song's beats per minute and Y to the year the song was released. Karaoke booths will pop up at The Mound in Edinburgh Kathartic Karaoke booths launched earlier in summer at Latitude festival, and will be popping up at The Mound on August 15 and August 16. Sonya Trivedy, executive director of external engagement at Samaritans, said: 'Music has a unique power to have a positive impact on our mental health. Singing, in particular, can help people process emotions, ease stress and boost mood. 'Through this pitch-perfect partnership with Three, we're turning up the volume on wellbeing, using music as a carefree way to connect, express, and take care of your emotional health.' Nicki Lyons, chief corporate affairs and sustainability officer at VodafoneThree, said: 'We are delighted to be partnering with Samaritans to create joyful spaces for people to connect to one another and experience our 'Kathartic Karaoke' for themselves.' Katherine Ryan hits back at critics after she admitted she gave her boss oral sex so she could leave work early
has hit back at critics after she admitted she gave her boss oral sex so she could leave work early. The comedian, 42, made the show revelation to journalist Louis Theroux, 55, back in 2022 as she spoke to him as back of the TV series Louis Theroux Interviews. However, years after her revelation amid her interview being promoted on streaming service StreamOnU, Katherine has spoken out in defence of herself as she declared that she was neither 'proud nor shameful' of the choices she made in the past. Alongside a clip of her telling Louis about the sexual arrangement with her boss, Katherine penned: 'Based on the reaction to this clip over the last two years, I think people mostly seem confused that I'm neither proud, nor am I shameful of the choices I made in my 'youth', as a young adult, when my frontal lobe was still developing. 'Culture moves so fast and those of us from what I call 'the girl band generation' navigated being objectified and participating in objectifying ourselves. It's a bit different now.' In the video shared to her Instagram this week, Louis questioned Katherine about sleeping with her boss, to which Katherine confirmed she said to her employer: 'If I suck you d**k, can I leave early? Something like that.' A stunned Louis responded: 'You really said that?', to which Katherine responded: 'Yeah. But I liked him. That's key. He wasn't just some guy.' When Louis asked what her bosses' reply was, she said: 'He said yes you can. Of course you can. So then I sucked his d**k and I left early'. She went on to claim that 'several' of the girls in the office had the 'same arrangement'. The broadcaster then remarked that those in the office who wanted to leave early but didn't want to engaged in the sexual activity were at a disadvantage, suggesting they were 'the losers in the transaction'. With Katherine then insisting that the man in question would 'never' have made the suggestion himself. Louis then asked if she has the same viewpoint now or if she would call out her boss for being 'totally inappropriate', with Katherine admitting it was 'tricky' as she really liked the guy and had a 'crush' on him. She added: 'I have never sucked the d**k of anyone I didn't like... at the time.' Though she'd experienced backlash for her comments over the years, recent remarks on her latest post showed many fans were also in support of her. They penned: 'The power imbalance was key, he was in the wrong not her. I feel sorry for her, but also recognise she felt empowered to do it.' 'She liked him.. They were friends. There was consent. She got to leave early. What's the problem? If you don't want to do this, don't. Don't judge someone else because they did/would.' 'She didnt have a problem... he didnt have a problem.... where is the problem??' 'She doesn't regret it, it was her idea, she liked him, she got to leave early. I think this is perfectly acceptable. At the time totally normal. It was probably the noughties and it was all a bit like that then wasn't it!' This wasn't the only bombshell made during her explosive chat with Louis. In the same interview, Katherine claimed to have told a comedian 'to his face' that he was a sexual predator and that accusations against this person were an 'open secret'. The Canadian comic told Louis that she had confronted the unnamed man while they worked together on a TV show in front of the audience 'again and again'. Katherine said she had no qualms with doing so as she had decided to handle it 'like a man' - although the confrontation itself was later cut from the broadcast. Claimed she had received criticism afterwards for not naming the person in question in public, but said just talking about him was a 'litigious minefield' as he had 'very good lawyers'. The star, who is currently pregnant with her fourth child, added that it was 'not my story to tell' but that she believed the accusations as the sources were 'very credible'.
