Scottie Scheffler's 'Happy Gilmore 2' PGA cameo offers arrest, jail parody. 'Oh no, not again'
Scottie Scheffler makes a few appearances in "Happy Gilmore 2" and a few of his scenes poke fun at his Louisville arrest during the 2024 PGA Championship tournament.

As previously reported by the Courier Journal, Scheffler makes a cameo in Adam Sandler's "Happy Gilmore 2" along with several other pro golfers.

In the movie, Scheffler gets arrested for punching someone on the green. As the cops are coming to get him, he says, "Oh no, not again" — which is a reference to when he got arrested before the second round of the 2024 PGA Championship in Louisville. As he's being handcuffed in the movie, he says: "I know the drill."
Shortly after this scene, Scheffler is seen in a prison cell watching the competition he got disqualified from on TV. He has an interaction with one of his cellmates who wants to change the channel.
"Frankie, sit your ass down, we're watching golf," Scheffler says.
In a final scene during the credits, it is revealed Scheffler has been in his cell watching golf for three days. The bailiff asks him if he'd like to make a call, to which Scheffler replies: "It depends. What's for dinner?" After the bailiff tells him they're having chicken fingers, Scheffler responds "I'll stick around another night."

This isn't the first time his Louisville arrest has been the source of jokes. When it was announced that Scheffler was the 2025 PGA Champion, Scheffler's sponsor, Nike, shared an image with the text "Best player in the world? Guilty."

Scheffler was arrested trying to get into the course at Valhalla on May 17, 2024. A fatal accident caused traffic to halt before the second round of the PGA Championship. Trouble started for Scheffler when he switched lanes to avoid the traffic and get to his tee time.
According to the citation, "(Scheffler) refused to comply and accelerated forward, dragging Detective (Bryan) Gillis to the ground. Detective Gillis suffered pain, swelling, and abrasions to his left wrist and knee."
He spent only 72 minutes in jail before he returned to Valhalla to compete. Charges were later dropped.
"Happy Gilmore 2" is only available to stream on Netflix.

Red Sox starter says having two young kids has cured day game woes: ‘It's the reality of it'
MINNEAPOLIS — During his first full major league season in 2023, Brayan Bello posted a 6.94 ERA in 10 day games compared to a much better 3.06 mark when he started at night. In 2024, though, he was slightly better (4.09 ERA) in nine day game starts than he was in 21 outings at night (4.67). And in 2025, he has been very good at night — he has a 3.45 ERA in 60 innings — but even better under the sun, posting a stellar 2.88 ERA in 50 day innings, and that doesn't even count his 'relief' outing of five strong innings against the Reds in a suspended game on July 1. On Wednesday in Minnesota, with an early 12:10 p.m. local start, it was more of the same for Bello, who worked around four walks to give the Red Sox seven strong innings in a 13-1 rout. He allowed a single run (on a Matt Wallner homer) while allowing five hits and striking out four. Bello no longer struggles to find a routine when he pitches a matinee. Why? Having two young kids has changed him, according to his manager. 'Two kids. He has to get up early now,' said manager Alex Cora, matter-of-factly. 'It's the reality of it.' The Bello family has changed a lot since Bello debuted in the majors as a 23-year-old in July 2022. He and his wife, Anabely, have welcomed a daughter, Bryanna, born in July 2023, and a son, Brayan Jr., born last August. Bello's family was not with him last season, as was documented by the Netflix documentary, 'The Clubhouse.' But this year, the family is stateside and Bello has posted the most consistent stretch of his career. After having the start of his season delayed to April 22 due to a right shoulder strain, he has logged a 7-5 record and 3.19 ERA in 110 innings, pitching 10 times during the day. 'Obviously, when you have kids, you have to get up early so my body's already used to getting up early every day, pretty much,' Bello said through translator Carlos Villoria Benítez. 'Last year was different because my kids weren't here. For me, it took a lot for me to get ready for day games. This year, I feel like that's in the past.' Bello arrived at Target Field around 9:15 a.m. on Wednesday, then felt ready to pitch at around 10:30 after some pre-start stretching. He started warming around 11:20 and was on the mound shortly after noon against a banged-up Twins lineup. Bello allowed a walk and a single in the first but escaped the inning when Kody Clemens was thrown out trying to score from first. In the second inning, with a 1-0 lead after Trevor Story homered, Bello was clipped for a solo shot by Matt Wallner. With a 2-1 lead, he issued two walks in the third, then escaped, before Boston's offense scored four times in the fifth and twice more in the sixth to make it 8-1. 'I felt my body was a little bit in slow motion the first couple of innings, then I got in the rhythm,' Bello said. 'I'm happy I was able to go seven and give our bullpen a little bit of rest.' Bello wanted to come back for an eighth inning after tossing 93 pitches in the first seven frames. But with lefty Chris Murphy available for a multi-inning stint and Cora wanting to use him before giving the rest of the bullpen back-to-back days off (the team is off Thursday), that was enough. 'Early on, erratic, then he found his groove, made some pitches,' Cora said of Bello's start. 'His fastball command was good and he gave us more than enough. 'From now on, there's not going to be a lot of rest and if we can save bullets, we will.' Trailer for LONG STORY SHORT Reveals a Dysfunctional Family Comedy From The Creator of BOJACK HORSEMAN — GeekTyrant
Netflix has released the full trailer for its upcoming animated series Long Story Short , and fans of BoJack Horseman are going to want to keep this one on their radar. The show comes from Raphael Bob-Waksberg, the twisted genius behind BoJack, and it's set to premiere on August 22, 2025. This time around, Bob-Waksberg digs into the messy, emotional layers of a dysfunctional American Jewish family, the Schwoopers, whose saga spans decades. Long Story Short is all about those chaotic relationships, old wounds, and shared jokes that only a family could understand, or be scarred by. Netflix describes the show as 'an animated comedy from the creator of BoJack Horseman about one family, over time. Jumping through the years, we follow the Schwooper siblings from childhood to adulthood and back again, chronicling their triumphs, disappointments, joys, & compromises.' The voice cast is loaded with talent. Lisa Edelstein plays Naomi Schwartz, Paul Reiser is Elliott Cooper, and Ben Feldman voices Avi Schwooper. They're joined by Abbi Jacobson as Shira Schwooper, Max Greenfield as Yoshi Schwooper, Angelique Cabral as just Jen, Nicole Byer as Kendra Hooper, Dave Franco as Danny Wegbreit, and Michaela Dietz as Hannah Schwooper. Visually, the animation might not be as polished as some other Netflix fare, but that's part of the charm. It leans into a more raw and grounded style, which fits the story that is being told. The trailer is packed with sharp, well-timed humor that feels very much in line with what Bob-Waksberg fans expect. And yes, it's every bit as awkward, heartfelt, and painfully relatable as you'd hope. Long Story Short is produced by Lisa Hanawalt and animated by ShadowMachine, with Noel Bright and Steven A. Cohen executive producing for Tornante TV. Corey Campodonico and Alex Bulkley are on board as co-executive producers for ShadowMachine. If you're into adult animated shows that dive deep into complicated relationships while still delivering laughs, Long Story Short looks like it's going to be a wild and emotional ride worth taking.
