Rams, CB Tre Tomlinson mutually decide to part ways after two seasons
The Los Angeles Rams are moving on from a player who they drafted in the sixth round just two years ago. Adam Schefter of ESPN reported on Wednesday that the Rams are releasing cornerback Tre Tomlinson, a sixth-round pick in 2023.
According to Tomlinson's agent, it was a mutual decision to part ways.
Tomlinson spent last season in injured reserve, missing his entire second season. He was the Jim Thorpe Award winner in college during his time at TCU, earning honors as the top defensive back in the country.
Tomlinson has dealt with injuries during his pro career thus far, limiting him to just 45 defensive snaps in two season. He played 15 games as a rookie in 2023, making 13 total tackles on the year.
