Gwen Stefani reveals the 'third party' behind her successful Blake Shelton marriage

Daily Mail24-04-2025

They'll be celebrating their four year wedding anniversary in three months.
And Gwen Stefani previously revealed how her faith has benefitted her marriage to Blake Shelton.
Stefani, a devout Catholic, revealed how a higher power played a role in her relationship as she chatted with Drew Barrymore on a November episode of her eponymous talk show.
'What's the best advice you've ever received about love?' Drew, 50, asked the No Doubt songstress, 55.
'Best advice would probably be, make sure you have a third party,' Gwen said.
She pointed her finger upwards, indicating God.
The interview came shortly before Gwen divided fans by promoting the Catholic prayer app Hallow.
Gwen partnered with the popular prayer and meditation app to encourage people to pray over the holiday season last year.
'Christmas season has always been my favorite time of the year. It's the season that we get to celebrate the birth of our Lord,' she says in a promotional video.
'Join me and millions of other Christians around the world as we celebrate together the truth that God so loved the world that he gave us his only son.
While a lot fans have supported Gwen's public embrace of her faith, others criticized the Hollaback Girl hitmaker for the religious venture.
'Trad wife transformation complete,' wrote one, while another commented, 'What the hell is this!'
'I'm just going to tell myself this is AI and continue with my life,' wrote a third.
A fourth added, 'Gwen, I've loved you since I was eight years old back in the Tragic Kingdom days. I understand your faith is important to you but this is seriously cringe.'
Another commented, 'Who is this and what have you done with the real Gwen?!! This cannot be real. Not only she just makes music to match her husband's but now she seems like such a Republican.'
Despite the backlash, plenty of fans jumped in to defend Gwen and pointed out that she's always been open about her religious convictions.
'Gwen has ALWAYS been a religious person. This is nothing new. She's just more vocal about it now,' wrote one.

'Y'all do know Catholics are Christians, right? Stefani is Italian. What Italians do y'all know who aren't Catholic??' added a second.
A third wrote, 'I really feel the need to defend her here! Gwen has always been open about her faith. She was raised Catholic and if anything her faith is part of why her and Blake fell for each other.'
She posted another Hallow promotional video last month and also re-tweeted Tucker Carlson's interview with Jonathan Roumie, who stars as Jesus in the series The Chosen.
Both social media activities sparked some backlash with several accusing her of being 'right wing' and one writing of her Hallow app video with the not-so-subtle comment, 'Make Gwen Stefani Great Again.'

Stranger Things fan slam final series release date branding it 'worst ever seen'

Netflix announced the release dates for the fifth and final season of Stranger Things at their Tudum fan event in Los Angeles this weekend Netflix has finally unveiled the release dates for the fifth and final season of Stranger Things, but what should have been an exciting moment has instead sparked a wave of backlash from fans. Show bosses announced that the final season will be rolled out in four volumes during the streamer's Tudum event at the Kia Forum in Los Angeles. The rollout includes eight episodes in total. Four are slated to come out as part of Volume I on November 26. Meanwhile, three episodes will be released on Christmas Day, December 25, 2025. Then the standalone final volume will come out on December 31, New Year's Eve. ‌ ‌ Although the Duffer Brothers, who created the hit sci-fi series, described this season as "our biggest and most ambitious yet", not everyone is thrilled with the rollout process. One Stranger Things fan went viral after posting on social media saying: "This is actually the worst release schedule for a TV show that I have maybe ever seen. Pretty arrogant to assume people will be more interested in watching Stranger Things than spending time with family and friends." Others echoed their frustration, calling the festive release dates inconsiderate. Another person ranted: "It sucks so bad honestly. 'Hey, watch our show we know you love on Christmas and New Year 's Eve and don't spend time with your family, or else be spoiled!!'" A third added: "Proper attention seeking nonsense." The release strategy mirrors Netflix 's approach to other major series like Bridgerton and The Witcher, where they have also dropped episodes in multiple segments to keep the hype for the series alive. However, fans are arguing that placing the final instalments of such a beloved TV show on two of the biggest holiday dates of the year means that Netflix is prioritising marketing over family values. ‌ One person joked: "Netflix thinks we'd rather binge Stranger Things than fight over the last Christmas cookie—guess they forgot some of us actually like our families more than the Upside Down!" Another fan wrote: "New Year's Eve and Christmas Day? Pretty crazy." Despite the backlash, others defended Netflix's decision, saying that the Christmas holidays are the perfect time for families to sit down and watch Stranger Things together. The anticipation for season five is still sky-high, as fans have waited three years to see what happens next after the fourth season aired. On top of that, the show's creators have promised an action-heavy conclusion to the series, with Ross Duffer saying it will pack the narrative punch of "eight blockbuster movies". Matt Duffer added: "We think it's our most personal story. It was super intense and emotional to film — for us and for our actors. We've been making this show together for almost 10 years. There was a lot of crying. There was so much crying. The show means so much to all of us, and everyone put their hearts and souls into it." All the major cast members will return, including Millie Bobby Brown, Finn Wolfhard, Caleb McLaughlin, Sadie Sink, and Gaten Matarazzo. Linda Hamilton is also joining the show in a mystery role.

The 32-year-old actress - who portrays Lauren Branning on the BBC soap - has hinted there will be some exciting developments coming to Albert Square in time for Christmas and the New Year. ‌ Speaking to The Daily Mirror newspaper, Jacqueline said: "I'm a massive fan of the show. Jaqueline added she had heard from a source from 'EastEnders' executive producer Kate Oates that there might be "some returns" lined up. She teased: "I've heard some rumbles. I heard Kate Oates' source say maybe there are gonna be some returns and for me that excites me, whoever it is." Article continues below Jaqueline also addressed the speculation that Jake Wood - who played her on-screen father Max Branning on and off from 2006 to 2021 - would be making a comeback to Walford. She said: "I have seen the rumours. I feel like you would have to ask ['EastEnders' executive producer] Ben [Wadey], I'd love it. They tell us nothing. I feel like they tell me nothing because if they tell me, I will tell the world by accident. "I know nothing. It's Max Branning. I'd love him back but he's super busy. We'll ask Ben, we'll beg Ben." ‌ Last month, rumours of Jake's 'EastEnders' return surfaced, with the character reportedly due to tackle some "unfinished business" upon his arrival in Albert Square. A source told The Sun on Sunday newspaper: "Jake's return is huge news for 'EastEnders' fans as his character made a massive mark on the show. "It'll raise some eyebrows after he was absent from the 40th anniversary earlier this year. Bosses are excited about what his character's reappearance means for spicing up the plots. Article continues below "There is plenty to go at. Max has loads of unfinished business in the Square and is set to ruffle some feathers." Oates has also hinted there were big plans for a major return in 'EastEnders'. The executive producer teased: "If you like a return, I don't think you're going to be disappointed because there's potentially one on the cards. We've got some uncharted territory."
