Blake Shelton Addresses 2025 AMAs TikTok Theories
The 2025 American Music Awards went down on Monday night, and featured performances from Jennifer Lopez, Janet Jackson, Rod Stewart, Benson Boone, Gloria Estefan, Reneé Rapp, Alex Warren, and Lainey Wilson. Not to mention Blake Shelton (who made his AMAs performance debut with "Stay Country or Die Tryin") and Gwen Stefani (who sang "The Sweet Escape," along with "Hollaback Girl" and "Swallow My Tears"). However, some fans were convinced that Blake and Gwen had pre-taped their performances and weren't actually in attendance due to their sets being broadcast on a giant screen during the show. "The craziest part of the AMAS last night was being told 'and here's Blake Shelton live' only for them to light up the stage like he's there and never saying to us it was prerecorded," one fan wrote on TikTok. "THEN, doing the same thing with Gwen Stefani!" The speculation about Blake and Gwen's performance was covered by Rolling Stone, and apparently Blake saw all the chatter because he hopped on Twitter to clear things up. "Just now seeing these stories about Gwen and I pretaping our performances for the AMA's," Blake wrote on Twitter. "We came and performed when the show asked us to.. Really nothing else to say." Welp. That's that on that!

Gwen Stefani Hollas Back to a Pair of Solo Classics During 2025 American Music Awards Medley
Gwen Stefani hollered back to some of her career favorite hits at Monday night's (May 26) 2025 American Music Awards. After an introduction from husband Blake Shelton — who called her his 'one and only' — Stefani celebrated the 25th anniversary of her favorite pop/rock female artist AMA win with a three-song medley beginning with her recent country-tinged single 'Swallow My Tears.' Bathed in soft-focus light, the No Doubt singer and solo star crooned the tune's opening lines from a field of tall golden grass while wearing a billowing, bedazzled white dress. She hit the stage at the Fontainebleau Las Vegas with four backup dancers in short white minidresses, who swooned around her as the tempo shifted and Stefani spun her way into her 2006 hit 'The Sweet Escape.' With her backups twirling oversized lollipops and sweets, Stefani was joined by six male dancers dressed in jackets, ruffled shirts and kilts on the dreamy doo-wop pop tune. The medley ended with a run through her iconic 2005 Hot 100 No. 1 single 'Hollaback Girl,' with backing from a horn section in red suits with fringed collars and, of course, giant gold belt buckles reading 'BANANAS' in a nod to the song's signature chant. With her crew now dressed in marching band regalia — complete with towering furry hats — Stefani got the crowd fired up to join in on the shout-along chorus 'This s–t is bananas/ B-A-N-A-N-A-S.' The American Music Awards are produced by Dick Clark Productions, which is owned by Penske Media Eldridge, a joint venture between Eldridge Industries and Billboard parent company Penske Media. Gwen Stefani, 55, brutally SHAMED over performance at pop music festival in California
Gwen Stefani has divided fans following a performance at the KIIS FM Wango Tango pop concert over the weekend. The 55-year-old busted out a rendition of her 2004 hit Hollaback Girl at the festival, but not everybody was impressed by the showing. Some fans compared Stefani to Katy Perry, who has recently come under fire for her 'cringe' Lifetimes tour performances. 'She looks tired,' commented one fan, while another wrote, 'It's giving Katy Perry Lifetimes tour.' A third wrote, 'The age is starting to show… I wish she made more mature songs.' At 55, Stefani, alongside French DJ David Guetta, 57, were the two oldest performers at the concert. The rest of the lineup included Meghan Trainor, 31, Doja Cat, 29, and K-pop girl groups KATSEYE, Hearts2Hearts, and NMIXX. Despite the brutal backlash, a number of supporters also jumped to Stefani's defense. 'She is looking gorgeous and sounding great at 55!! Such an inspiring woman, love her forever. Her last album, "Bouquet" is a masterpiece,' gushed one. Another wrote, 'Wow, Gwen looks so incredible and young! Go girl.' A third added, 'Legendary musician. I respect artists. Keep politics out of it.' The No Doubt frontwoman has been battling backlash from fans for months after promoting the popular Catholic prayer app Hallow. In addition, fans did not appreciate her retweeting a Tucker Carlson interview with Jonathan Roumie, who stars as Jesus in the religious drama series The Chosen. On March 6, she retweeted a clip of Jonathan Roumie from The Chosen getting interviewed by ring wing pundit Carlson. View this post on Instagram A post shared by billboard (@billboard) She added: 'Wow @JonathanRoumie you are a powerful inspirational human what an enlightening intelligent beautiful interview thank you for being you.' Stefani first announced her partnership with religious app Hallow, which features prayers, guided meditation sessions, bible stories and chants, in December. The app can be purchased on a yearly basis for $69.99 or a month by month basis for $9.99 per month. Fans took to the comments in droves to mostly share their disappointment in her public affiliation with Catholicism. 'Don't speak,' one wrote, referring to her hit No Doubt song of the same name. Another fan said they 'miss the old Gwen' while another called her 'embarrassing.' Stefani has been seen going to church for years and has been open about her faith and her devotion to Catholicism.

Gwen Stefani Shows Off Flower-Adorned Dr. Martens to Perform at iHeartRadio's 102. 7 KIIS FM Wango Tango
Gwen Stefani brought her talents to iHeartRadio's 102.7 KIIS FM Wango Tango on Saturday, coordinating flower-adorned Dr. Martens to her patchwork denim dress for the occasion. Stefani modeled a fitted minidress showcasing various denim washes in a colorblocked design. The dress was embellished with crystals as well as three-dimensional flower adornments; an ultra-cropped denim jacket offered her sleeves and a collar. The 'Hollaback Girl' singer accessorized with a layered necklace look including a bejeweled nameplate 'Stefani' pendant. She made sure the shoes continued the floral denim aesthetic with 3D flowers featuring a subtle sparkle adorning the upper. The footwear choice isn't a surprising one for the singer, who opted for crystal-embellished Dr. Martens boots to perform at Coachella last year. Stefani is one of many stars to don Dr. Martens boots for onstage performances — Olivia Rodrigo, for example, is another musician who counts Dr. Martens as a trusty footwear brand when it comes time to take the stage. Gwen Stefani reveals the 'third party' behind her successful Blake Shelton marriage
They'll be celebrating their four year wedding anniversary in three months. And Gwen Stefani previously revealed how her faith has benefitted her marriage to Blake Shelton. Stefani, a devout Catholic, revealed how a higher power played a role in her relationship as she chatted with Drew Barrymore on a November episode of her eponymous talk show. 'What's the best advice you've ever received about love?' Drew, 50, asked the No Doubt songstress, 55. 'Best advice would probably be, make sure you have a third party,' Gwen said. She pointed her finger upwards, indicating God. The interview came shortly before Gwen divided fans by promoting the Catholic prayer app Hallow. Gwen partnered with the popular prayer and meditation app to encourage people to pray over the holiday season last year. 'Christmas season has always been my favorite time of the year. It's the season that we get to celebrate the birth of our Lord,' she says in a promotional video. 'Join me and millions of other Christians around the world as we celebrate together the truth that God so loved the world that he gave us his only son. While a lot fans have supported Gwen's public embrace of her faith, others criticized the Hollaback Girl hitmaker for the religious venture. 'Trad wife transformation complete,' wrote one, while another commented, 'What the hell is this!' 'I'm just going to tell myself this is AI and continue with my life,' wrote a third. A fourth added, 'Gwen, I've loved you since I was eight years old back in the Tragic Kingdom days. I understand your faith is important to you but this is seriously cringe.' Another commented, 'Who is this and what have you done with the real Gwen?!! This cannot be real. Not only she just makes music to match her husband's but now she seems like such a Republican.' Despite the backlash, plenty of fans jumped in to defend Gwen and pointed out that she's always been open about her religious convictions. 'Gwen has ALWAYS been a religious person. This is nothing new. She's just more vocal about it now,' wrote one. Gwen partnered with the popular prayer and meditation app to encourage people to pray over the holiday season last year 'Y'all do know Catholics are Christians, right? Stefani is Italian. What Italians do y'all know who aren't Catholic??' added a second. A third wrote, 'I really feel the need to defend her here! Gwen has always been open about her faith. She was raised Catholic and if anything her faith is part of why her and Blake fell for each other.' She posted another Hallow promotional video last month and also re-tweeted Tucker Carlson's interview with Jonathan Roumie, who stars as Jesus in the series The Chosen. Both social media activities sparked some backlash with several accusing her of being 'right wing' and one writing of her Hallow app video with the not-so-subtle comment, 'Make Gwen Stefani Great Again.'
