Actor Clint Brink and his wife Steffi have celebrated their 9th wedding anniversary milestone.
The couple married in 2016 after a whirlwind 3-months of courtship that started in the DMs.
Steffi thanked her husband for his forgiveness and relentless support in their marriage.
In an age where celebrity marriages often make headlines for all the wrong reasons, actor Clint Brink and his reality TV star wife Steffi are proving that genuine love stories still exist – even when they begin on social media.
The couple recently celebrated their ninth wedding anniversary, with Steffi taking to Instagram to share a heartfelt tribute that left followers believing in the power of enduring love.
'On our crown anniversary of 9 years... all I can say is thank you, Abba for grace abounding,' Steffi wrote. She described their lives as 'filled with joy, laughter, deep conversations, support, encouragement, bravery, compassion, forgiveness, patience, and a sense of belonging.'
The Brink love story reads like a modern-day fairy tale. After Clint slid into Steffi's DMs on social media, the couple dated for just three months before getting engaged, followed by a one-month engagement period before tying the knot in 2016.
'She just made my life better in every way,' Clint previously shared. 'Everything we do is for each other's growth and with the other person in mind. If she wins, I win.'
Steffi's anniversary tribute painted a picture of marriage as more than just romantic love.
'Together, we found a home. A safe haven. A sanctuary. A cleansing place which allows for growth and healing,' she reflected.
Her post highlighted the mature understanding both partners bring to their relationship, acknowledging that love requires work, forgiveness, and intentional choice.
'Love is not just something we say; it is a transformative power rooted in essence that is true to nature. It is the connectivity between two different souls merged into one purpose,' Steffi wrote.
'Thank you for choosing to forgive me for 9 years, for your relentless support and dedication towards our union. I am stronger and better because of you,' she shared, revealing the vulnerability and accountability that strengthens their bond.

The couple's love story reached a new chapter in April 2023 when they welcomed daughter Arielle Harmony Brink, after sharing their pregnancy news in September 2022.
'Gratitude fills our hearts for your love, support, thoughts and prayers,' Clint wrote when announcing their daughter's arrival, showing how their partnership extends to co-parenting.
Just before welcoming Arielle, Clint had penned his tribute to Steffi: 'I am forever by your side. In whatever capacity. Always in all ways, my love.'
What sets the Brinks apart is their commitment to individual growth within their marriage. Clint has spoken about how they push each other toward personal excellence.
'It is just amazing that, besides being my wife, she is my friend. Everything we do is for each other's growth and with the other person in mind,' he explained. 'I don't want her to succeed for me; I want her to succeed for herself.'
'When I'm not doing well, she is strong, and she propels us forward,' Clint added, describing the give-and-take that sustains long-term partnerships.
In an entertainment industry where relationships often struggle under public pressure, the Brinks have created something rare – a partnership that thrives on mutual respect, spiritual connection, and genuine friendship.

Billy Joel's ex-wife defends singer against ‘homewrecker' claims, says first marriage was already 'wrecked'

If you or someone you know is having thoughts of suicide, please contact the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline at 1-800-273-TALK (8255). Billy Joel's ex-wife doesn't believe the singer was responsible for the breakdown of her first marriage to his best friend and bandmate. "I never thought of Bill as the homewrecker," Elizabeth Weber recently told Us Weekly, adding that she had to "tread carefully" because "Jon [Small] and I didn't have a great romance." In a new documentary, "Billy Joel: And So It Goes," the Piano Man detailed the anguish he went through when he told his friend he was in love with his wife. Joel first met Weber in the '60s while she was married to Small, People magazine reported. Their affair broke up the band Attila, which impacted Joel's mental health. In the documentary, he described spiraling into a deep depression, which resulted in two suicide attempts. "I was just in love with a woman, and I got punched in the nose, which I deserved," the 76-year-old recalled in the documentary. "I felt very, very guilty about it. They had a child, you know? I felt like a homewrecker." But "the home was wrecked," Weber clarified. "We didn't have a deep connection, Jon and I," she told Us Weekly. "Almost in a way, my life began again when my son was born. Sean just lit up every room. He was an adorable, precocious child. So I really never thought of Bill as a homewrecker because there wasn't much home to wreck." After some time apart, Joel and Weber reconnected and eventually married in 1973. They divorced in 1982. Joel went on to marry Christie Brinkley in 1985. They welcomed a daughter, Alexa Ray Joel, that same year before calling it quits in 1994. He was married to cookbook author Katie Lee from 2004 to 2009 and said "I do" once more to former executive Alexis Roderick. They share two children, Della Rose Joel and Remy Anne Joel. WATCH: BILLY JOEL'S FRIEND AND COLLABORATOR HOPES TO SEE HIM PERFORM AGAIN AFTER BRAIN DIAGNOSIS Weber also opened up to Us Weekly about where she stands with Joel today. "If I wanna talk to him or if I have something to say, I am able to contact him whenever I want to," she said. "But he has a wife, and he has children and, right now, he's struggling with something that's… that's a big thing. So [our relationship] is as close as it needs to be for two people who decided to divorce 40 years ago." Earlier this year, Joel was diagnosed with a brain condition that forced him to cancel all of his scheduled concerts. The five-time Grammy winner was diagnosed with normal pressure hydrocephalus (NPH), which occurs when cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) builds up inside or around the brain. It has led to problems with hearing, vision and balance for the musician. In the documentary, Weber admitted that she and Small "were not a good fit." "We were very young, and we didn't really know much of anything," she said. "And I got more and more dissatisfied with the life I was living, and then things got complicated." That's when she and Joel began spending more and more time together. "When you just find someone you're comfortable with … and can finish your sentences and know what you're thinking without saying anything, sometimes it's a low build," she said. Looking back at his marriage, Small said Weber was important to him, "but I think I was not the guy she hoped I would be." Still, Small didn't suspect that his marriage would unravel so suddenly. "I kept seeing that Billy was not the same guy. Something was the matter, and Billy one day came up to me, became a little honest and said to me, 'I'm in love with your wife.' So, it was a very devastating thing for me because these were basically my two best friends. "He's crying, and he's telling me he feels so bad, and he didn't know what to do about it. How does he break his best friend's heart? But he said she was so powerful to him that it was worth it to him to lose our friendship for it." Joel said "that was the end of my relationship with Jon for a while." When Weber later left, he began drinking and attempted suicide twice. "I figured that's it. I don't want to live anymore," Joel said. "I was just in a lot of pain. It was like why hang out? Tomorrow's going to be just like today, and today sucks. So, I just thought I'd end it all." After his second suicide attempt, Small was the one who took Joel to the hospital. "Even though our friendship had blown up, Jon saved my life," Joel said. Small said even though Joel never said anything to him about it, "The practical answer I could give why Billy took it so hard was because he loved me that much and that it killed him to hurt me that much." He eventually forgave Joel. "I finally got over it where it was like, 'OK.' He thought it was over for him, but, to me, he didn't even start living yet."

The Jessica Radcliffe Orca Attack Video Is Fake, But Why Is It Even On TikTok?

Viral videos can take many forms, and not all of them are real. A recent example? There's a Jessica Radcliffe orca attack video that has popped up on TikTok and Facebook recently, but it's entirely fake. In fact, there isn't an orca trainer named Jessica Radcliffe, according to multiple sources. In the video, which I haven't watched because it is apparently gruesome in nature, an orca trainer is attacked and killed. The hoax was generated by AI and has all of the signs of being computer generated, starting with the fact that the story would have made national news. Most AI-generated videos don't pass the uncanny valley test, even as they are improving in quality. We are still able to spot something that's fake, and there are a few giveaways. For starters, when you see a human in a video that seems fake, look at the fingers—the way they move is often not very realistic yet. For companies like TikTok and Facebook, it would seem they have the technology to look for watermarks or other signs that a video is fake. The issue has more to do with what makes a video go viral in the first place. Why we are drawn to the Jessica Radcliffe orca attack video To understand how that works, we really need to look in the mirror. The problem is us. We tend to gravitate toward the sensational. Studies on why social media videos go viral indicate that we are drawn to negative news more than anything, which has been true since the first news report ever aired. If someone is harmed, in pain, or in a car wreck we are more likely to pay attention. Part of the reason for that could have something to do with our own protection instincts. In the book Morbidly Curious: A Scientist Explains Why We Can't Look Away by Coltan Scrivner, the author explains that we might pay attention to bad news (or slow down to look at a car wreck) because we're trying to figure out how we would respond in that same situation. We seem to have a fascination with horror and dark thrillers, he writes, because we're trying to evaluate what we would do if we encountered the same issue. The same might be true of viral videos that feature something gruesome or troubling. We have a fight or flight mechanism in us that is always poised to react, and social media is constantly taking advantage of that impulse. Should TikTok even allow the Jessica Radcliffe orca attack video? This all raises the question about why the video is even on the social media platform in the first place. The cynic in me wonders if many of the worst examples of viral videos are still online because they have such high engagement and high traffic. The most negative and spurious viral videos are the ones that are leading to the most views for advertisers. What could help counteract all of this negativity? It turns out the real responsibility is not with the social media companies but the creators themselves—and the viewers. Producing more engaging viral content that has a positive message, reporting on the more uplifting side of the human condition, and focusing on innovation and progress will help stem the tide of all the negative viral content like the Jessica Radcliffe orca attack video. At least it's a step in the right direction.

‘I chose uNelisa': Married at First Sight star reflects on customary marriage discovery

Married at First Sight: Mzansi stars Nelisa Ntabeni and Palesa Mphaki face unexpected marriage dilemmas. Nelisa is grappling with revelations about her husband's previous customary marriage, while Palesa struggles with mismatched expectations and challenges like polygamy talks. Despite setbacks, both women explore love, boundaries, self-worth, and the rollercoaster of being thrust into the spotlight. What would you do if you found out your new husband was previously customarily married to someone else, and it's unclear whether they followed due process to dissolve their union? That is the dilemma Nelisa Ntabeni found herself in on Married at First Sight: Mzansi after hearing that her new husband, Themba Khosa's, ex was not happy that he married a stranger on a national TV show. She posted an out-of-context image, leading fans to believe that she had already left Khosa; however, many said she may have been referring to an ex when she shared a photo of herself holding luggage with the caption: 'I packed my bags [and] left him. Never looked back. I chose uNelisa.' When congratulated for her decisions and quizzed by fans about what she thought about the revelation, she wrote: 'Ndisacinga girl! Ayilulanga. Mara, how many South African men pay Lobolo even for multiple women [and] never marry them? Then sonke sikwi sthembu mos... singooo 1... noo2... noo3!' she wrote, letting fans know that she's still thinking about the matter and that it is not okay. She also questioned the definition of marriage if several men pay lobola or customary fines (colloquially called 'damages') for the mothers of their children. Ntabeni argued that several people are effectively in polygamous marriages if paying lobola for a person you have a child with is considered a customary marriage. 'My baby daddy paid Lobolo partially for me but, when he married someone else, I had to accept... sivana ukufa today nomkakhe coz I had to get ready for the fact that my boy was about to gain a 2nd mom,' she added, explaining that the father of her child married someone else even though he paid lobola for her. 'Ewe siba hurt, but we need to be bigger than that for the sake of abantwana.' In what fans viewed as a veiled comment directed at her husband's ex, she said she developed a good relationship with her child's stepmother despite being hurt about not being the one getting married because she had to do the right thing for her son's sake. When another fan asked her to give her marriage with Themba a fighting chance, Ntabeni commented: 'All I can say is... he's a good man who made mistakes... and the mistakes were not against me... they were actually before me. Lots to consider here, but I'm letting God guide me.' Another contestant facing a similar dilemma is Palesa Mphaki, whose journey with husband Tshepo Miya has been anything but smooth, especially after last night's explosive episode, where suspicions of infidelity left fans on edge. Showmax shared the answers from a Q&A with the star to give fans more insight into her journey and what life has been like now that everyone is watching events filmed months ago as she reintegrates back into everyday life outside of reality TV. 'I said yes to Married at First Sight: South Africa for the experience, with the objective of discovering affection through an unorthodox approach,' she says. But nothing could fully prepare her for the whirlwind of emotions that followed, from walking down the aisle with a stranger to navigating the complexities of a televised marriage. She also says watching herself on screen has been surreal. 'It's been a peculiar experience, yet I am grateful for the occasion to observe myself from a distinct perspective,' she admits. Public scrutiny has also intensified as her face becomes more recognisable. 'People are beginning to take notice of me. I'm gradually becoming accustomed to the stares and whispers that surround me. It's quite amusing to observe,' she says with a laugh. The recognition is gratifying, and I'm slowly becoming more comfortable with it.' First impressions become uncomfortable truths When Palesa first locked eyes with Tshepo at the altar, her initial reaction wasn't what fans were hoping for - a couple happy to see the stranger waiting for them at the end of the aisle. However, her feelings about what she got seem to echo those of Portia Baloyi, who has been pretty unkind to her match, Bongani Luvalo. 'I was slightly shocked. I mean, I had said I wasn't into super skinny guys but I hadn't anticipated meeting a pretty chubby dude at the altar,' confesses Mphaki. 'But hey, I know that looks aren't everything, so I was still willing to give it a shot.' However, the challenges of marrying a stranger quickly surfaced. 'The most significant challenge is discovering their darker side, as well as gaining insight into the reasons behind their continued single status,' she says. One of the biggest red flags? Tshepo's unexpected stance on polygamy. TikTok/@nelisa_ntabeni 'The polygamy question truly took me aback. I couldn't understand why he would even bring up such a topic.' Despite the disappointments, she says the show has been a crash course in relationships and self-discovery, which reinforced valuable lessons about self-worth. 'Being on the show taught me that not everyone is completely honest in their actions and movements. It was a real eye-opener. It has taught me the importance of setting healthy boundaries and not allowing others to take advantage of my good nature. I have learned to stand up for myself while still being respectful and considerate of others.' Though her marriage was rocky, she said she enjoyed watching fellow cast member Makoto's journey. 'I am truly savouring and relishing the journey of Makoto and Nkululeko. There is something incredibly compelling about focusing on those who are frequently misunderstood or misjudged by society. Especially because I know the show is not scripted.' Although her TikTok account makes it apparent that she developed a strong friendship with Makoto, her off-camera bond with the rest of the cast varies. 'I have conversations with Makoto nearly every day, and I engage in frequent discussions with Nelisa. However, Portia's communication with me is dead.' Married at First Sight: Mzansi airs every Sunday at 18:30 on Mzansi Magic and is available on Showmax directly after the broadcast.
