Top Tech: Sky's best Apple, Samsung and Google phone deals at less than £25 a month

Sky Mobile customers can pick up the latest iPhone, Samsung Galaxy and Google Pixel smartphones for less than £25 this month
These days, most new smartphones come with eye-watering price tags, which is why countless shoppers choose to pay monthly and avoid inflicting too much damage to their wallets. While this usually works out more expensive in the long run, it's a much more affordable option compared to splashing the cash outright.
For those who prefer to go down this road, Sky Mobile is offering some of the latest and most premium devices for less than £25. These include popular handsets like the iPhone 16 and Samsung Galaxy S25, some of which have seen price cuts of more than £200.
We've pulled together a selection of our favourite deals, each of which runs on a 36-month Sky plan with the option to upgrade after 24 months. It's worth noting that the price quoted covers the handset itself, so shoppers must also take out a Sky data plan alongside it.

However, these start at £0 for the entry-level 100MB package, with select handsets also offering a £1 for 10GB deal. Here's our favourite Sky Mobile deals for less than £25.
iPhone 16e – £18 a month
The iPhone 16e is the latest addition to Apple's smartphone range, released in February as a budget-friendly version of the standard iPhone 16. Sky has dropped the price to £18, its 'lowest ever', with nothing to pay upfront for the 128GB model.
Amazon is also cutting its prices, with the same phone down from £599 to £544. Apple says the iPhone 16e delivers 'powerful capabilities at a more affordable price', boasting a 6.1' Super Retina XDR OLED display, A18 chip, 48MP Fusion camera and Apple Intelligence features.
Despite its cheaper price, shoppers have said the iPhone 16e 'performs like a high-end phone, with 'great specs' and the 'quality you'd expect' from Apple. However, keep in mind that – like many new smartphones – it won't come with a mains plug.
Samsung Galaxy S25 – £22 a month
Sky has slashed £6 per month off the Samsung Galaxy S25 and is also throwing in a pair of free Galaxy Buds3 Pro worth £219. There is a £12 upfront cost, but the monthly discount comes to a total of £216 over the life of the plan.
The latest model in Samsung's S series comes in a choice of four colours – Icyblue, Navy, Silver Shadow and Mint – with a 6.2' dynamic AMOLED display, 50MP rear camera and a raft of Galaxy AI functions. Those considering buying the phone outright may want to head to Amazon as the retailer slashes the price from £799 to £649.
Of the Galaxy S25, shoppers say it does everything they need 'fast and effortlessly', with a 'great' battery life and the 'best' camera they've used. However, others have said the battery 'drains very quickly'.
iPhone 16 – £22 a month
Sky Mobile shoppers can pick up the iPhone 16 for £22 when spreading the cost, much more appealing than Apple 's £799 asking price. Similarly to the iPhone 16e, this model boasts a 6.1' Super Retina XDR OLED display, countless Apple Intelligence features and runs on the powerful A18 chip.
However, despite being the more expensive model, the iPhone 16 has a slightly shorter battery life of up to 22 hours of video playback, compared to 26 hours with the iPhone 16e. Shoppers who have opted for the iPhone 16 say it's 'worth the money' thanks to its 'fast processor', 'gorgeous' display and 'great' battery life.
Others aren't so impressed, as one said their battery 'drains ridiculously fast'.
Google Pixel 9 – £17 a month
Google's Pixel 9 has seen yet another price drop at Sky Mobile, now sitting at £17, down from £21. There is a £12 upfront cost here, but that's more than offset by the £144 overall saving.
Launched last year, the Pixel 9 features a 6.3' Actua Display, 50MP wide camera, 24-hour battery life and advanced Google Gemini features. However, it's soon to be replaced when Google unveils the Pixel 10 at its Made By Google event on August 20.
This has seen Pixel 9 price cuts across the board, with Amazon reducing the 256GB model from £899 to £597, while another Sky deal has dropped the entry-level Pixel 9a from £13 to £12. For those opting for the Pixel 9, users have said it's 'virtually flawless', operating well with a 'great' battery life and 'excellent' camera.
Others have criticised the design, with one saying the bezels are 'quite big'.

Stone secures IDB financing to offer credit to businesses in the Amazon

SAO PAULO, Aug 4 (Reuters) - (This Aug 4 story has been corrected to say IDB, not IBD, in the headline) Brazilian payments company Stone (STNE.O), opens new tab said on Monday it has secured 295 million reais ($53.4 million) in financing from the Inter-American Development Bank's private investment arm to expand credit offerings to small and mid-sized companies, focusing on Brazil's remote Legal Amazon region. Funds from IDB Invest will support the development of businesses in the region, including by women. The area covers nine states, most of which are among the poorest in Brazil, and faces deforestation, illegal mining, land conflicts and governance challenges. The transaction, the first between Stone and the IDB, was initiated before discussions about U.S. tariffs on Brazil, said Diego Salgado, treasury officer at Stone in Brazil. "This process began over a year ago, before the American election and before the imposition of tariffs. The challenge of a more multipolar world was not yet a significant concern," he said. The financing will "help us reach 'deep Brazil,' which is the Brazil of those in need," said Carolina da Costa, Stone's director of sustainability and impact. Under the agreement, IDB Invest will also help Stone improve its products by developing solutions specifically for women entrepreneurs in remote areas such as the Amazon.
