Why are celebs wearing the Oura Ring? From Kim Kardashian to Alia Bhatt and Prince Harry, this trending gold band is more than just bling
The celeb-approved ring that does more than just look good
The Oura Ring is having a massive moment, and no, it is not just a fashion flex. This little tech marvel is the VIP pass to tracking everything from sleep patterns to stress levels, basically your entire wellness in one ring.
Kim Kardashian's Oura Ring is the new gospel of cool
When Kim Kardashian wears something, it becomes gospel in the influencer world. She has been snapped wearing the Oura Ring multiple times, and naturally, the internet noticed.
Alia Bhatt's Oura Ring is screaming Bollywood-coded
Not far behind, Alia Bhatt made it Bollywood-official by declaring her love for the device during a Vogue shoot, saying it has been the most accurate in tracking her sleep, and that she loves rings anyway.
Jennifer Anniston's Oura Ring is her bedtime essential
Jennifer Aniston considers the Oura Ring a bedtime essential, using it religiously to monitor her rest and recharge. Sofia Richie, fashion It-girl and style queen, even styled it into her wardrobe in a TikTok video posted by Oura itself. Because when Sofia Richie validates something, you know it's legit.
Prince Harry and Chris Hemsworth get their Our Rings too
Prince Harry rocked a black Oura Ring on his Australia tour with Meghan Markle, sending the tabloids into meltdown mode. And let us not forget Chris Hemsworth, who hinted at using the ring while discussing his health habits and Alzheimer's predisposition in Vanity Fair. Even Zuck (yes, Mark Zuckerberg) chimed in about using his Oura ring for sleep paired with a $2000 smart mattress. Casual.
So, what does Oura Ringh even do?
The Oura Ring may look like minimal jewellery, but under its smooth surface lies a bunch of powerful sensors tracking over 20 biometrics, from your heart rate and body temperature to your sleep cycles and activity levels.
Its app gives you personalised insights like "You slept like trash" or "You need to chill today" (not literally, but close), helping you make better lifestyle choices. Whether you are counting steps, battling burnout, or trying to avoid that third espresso, Oura's got your back.
Sleep, stress and style, Oura Ringh is an all in one
Oura has become a go-to for celebs because it does what your basic fitness tracker cannot, it looks good and it works even better. The real flex? Tracking your REM sleep without ruining your outfit. Jennifer Aniston calls it her wellness weapon, while Alia Bhatt swears by its accuracy.
The ring is also praised for its comfort, unlike bulky smartwatches, it does not feel intrusive, and yes, it actually fits under your gloves during winter. Plus, it comes in colours like black, gold, and silver to match your aesthetic.
Is Oura Ring worth the hype?
With a battery life that lasts up to a week and a companion app that is like a therapist, sleep coach, and fitness trainer rolled into one, the Oura Ring is no gimmick. But it does come with a catch, an Oura membership is required to unlock its full superpowers. Worth it? Judging by the celeb fan club, it just might be.
Can you buy the Oura Ring in India?
If you are wondering whether the Oura Ring is available in India, well, kind of. While Oura does not officially retail in India yet, health and tech enthusiasts are still getting their hands on it through international shipping or third-party resellers.
Some global e-commerce platforms and personal shoppers help import it, but keep in mind: you might end up paying extra for duties, taxes, and shipping. Despite the logistical hurdles, its popularity is slowly creeping into the Indian wellness scene, especially now that Alia Bhatt is flaunting it like a wellness trophy.

Aadujeevitham National Award Snub: Ashutosh Gowariker Says THIS About Prithviraj Sukumaran's Performance
Curated By : Shreyanka Mazumdar Last Updated: August 03, 2025, 07:56 IST Why did Prithviraj's Aadujeevitham lose out while The Kerala Story won Best Direction? Prithviraj Sukumaran's much-anticipated survival drama Aadujeevitham (The Goat Life) entered the 71st National Film Awards with high hopes and strong fan backing. But when the winners were announced, the film didn't pick up a single trophy — not even in categories where it was a clear favourite. Behind the scenes, it turns out there was division within the jury — and at the centre of it all was a film that many believe didn't deserve to win in the first place. According to jury member and filmmaker Pradeep Nair, there were heated discussions around some of the major award decisions. The most debated pick was The Kerala Story, which walked away with Best Direction and Best Cinematography — honours that many believed should have gone to Aadujeevitham. 'As a Malayali on the panel, I raised serious objections. I questioned how a film that defames a state like Kerala and serves as propaganda could be considered for a national honour. I even conveyed my concerns directly to the jury chairperson," Nair said. But he also admitted that he was outnumbered. 'I was the only one who labelled it as propaganda. Others argued that even if it was controversial, it tackled a relevant social issue." Why Aadujeevitham Didn't Win A National Award Fans expected The Goat Life to make a strong sweep across categories — especially for its intense performances, stunning cinematography, and soundtrack. But jury chairperson Ashutosh Gowariker reportedly wasn't impressed. 'He had seen the movie at a previous film festival in Goa and had serious concerns about the film's adaptation and execution. Gowariker and others also felt the adaptation lacked naturality and the performances didn't feel authentic," Nair explained. Even the film's acclaimed music didn't break through. Nominations for Best Lyrics and Best Male Playback Singer slipped away, reportedly due to a technical issue. The producers failed to submit a proper English translation of Rafeeq Ahammed's lyrics — a misstep that cost them critical points. KR Gokul, who had been gaining praise for his breakout role in the film, was also left off the final winner list. Though the jury appreciated his performance, Nair revealed it wasn't enough. 'The overall quality of the films was also a significant factor in final decisions," he added. While Aadujeevitham went home empty-handed, Ullozhukku took the spotlight as Best Malayalam Film. The jury agreed it was a complete package. Shreyanka Mazumdar Shreyanka Mazumdar is Chief Sub Editor of the entertainment team at News18. Golden retriever boyfriends are all over your feed, but does one exist IRL?
Image credits: Getty Images The term 'Golden Retriever Boyfriend' has a similar birthplace as many Gen Z terms- TikTok. As early as 2021, the concept was scrolled over by social media users multiple times. However, it resurged to the top when Taylor Swift entered into her much-adored and obsessed-over relationship with NFL player Travis Kelce, the ever-smiling and ever-loving beau of the world's boo. 'A golden retriever boyfriend is the human equivalent of a tail wagging, wide-eyed pup who lives to love you,' explained Tiff Baira, host of "Streethearts" and a relationship expert and matchmaker to Cosmopolitan. 'He's sweet, loyal, emotionally available, and basically imprinted on you after the third date.' Think of a Tom Holland, a Nick Jonas, a Jake Peralta or a Jim Halpert. In short, he absolutely contradicts the emotionally unavailable, uninterested and always on the lookout for someone better boyfriend. But does a Golden Retriever Boyfriend exist in real life? Understanding a GRBF Image credits: Getty Images A Golden Retriever Boyfriend values your presence and addition in his life. He pays attention to your likes and dislikes, dos and don'ts and wants and needs. He fits all the adjectives of loving, positive, energetic, loyal and uncomplicated. 'He remembers your coffee order, sends good morning texts unprompted, and genuinely enjoys helping you build IKEA furniture,' added Baira. 'He's not playing games; he's the overly nice and caring type who puts you before himself.' In the era where doom scrolling and app-based dates only get you disappointed, the GRBF comes as a breath of fresh air. As someone who is serious and interested in a relationship. As someone you'd be with after getting your heart broken by a bad boy who seemed like rose-coloured glasses until he wasn't. How to identify if you have a Golden Retriever Boyfriend? Image credits: Getty Images It seems the signs to identify if your boyfriend is a golden retriever are wagging right in front of you. You are the apple of his eyes; he will help you with small things like carrying your grocery bag without asking him to, and he will care for you even in the most basic aspects of life. He is there to be with you, by your side, holding your hand as you both create the life of your dreams. However, if you have a boyfriend who's acting completely opposite to this, then it's time to bark some orders. If you are constantly worried about his whereabouts and friends, if you have to ask him for favours and if he only texts at night, then it's time to reconsider. But hey, there ain't just black and white. There's grey too. This is someone who is a Jeremiah (if you have watched 'The Summer I Turned Pretty). He is nice to get nice. The guy who seems endlessly kind and selfless but secretly has an agenda,' explained Baira. 'If his niceness comes with strings attached, like using your connections, expecting money, or subtly manipulating you, he's not golden; he's gold-plated.' He will only be affectionate in public and go cold when you are alone. He expects gratitude and appreciation for the smallest of tasks, and while he may look like the wind beneath your wings, he wouldn't take a second to clip them if you are flying too high. Is a Golden Retriever Boyfriend the only one? Image credits: Getty Images A Golden Retriever Boyfriend can be a great partner, someone you could imagine getting old with, who you could introduce to your parents and possibly be the father of your kids (if you want to have them). However, just because he seems like the ideal guy, he doesn't have to be your cup of tea. You might not want someone to settle you down and adore you forever; you might want some fire, someone who challenges you. Social media isn't a mirror to real life; it's an escape. It could be that men are following the archetype to finally have a chance in the dating pool, and women are choosing it to make themselves feel like a person who is worthy of a GRBF. If such a boyfriend is for you, then good, but if not, find the one who is more your type. Get the latest lifestyle updates on Times of India, along with Friendship Day wishes , messages and quotes !
