Report – Genoa & Feyenoord Stars Shore Up Inter Milan Shortlist Of Targets To Strengthen Defense
This according to today's print edition of Milan-based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, via FCInterNews.
One of the remaining priorities for Inter Milan this summer is to sign a defender.
The Nerazzurri are keen to lay the groundwork for the future of their backline considering the ages of key players like Stefan de Vrij and Francesco Acerbi.
And there is no question who Inter's top target is. Parma defender Giovanni Leoni is nineteen years of age, and Inter fully believe that he has all the qualities to be their future in defense.
However, negotiations with Parma for Leoni will not be easy. The Emilian club don't want to sell the teenager, whilst their valuation would be at least €40 million.
De Winter & Hancko Shore Up Inter List Of Defensive Targets
Therefore, the Gazzetta dello Sport report, Inter are also working on a couple other fronts.
One possible target in defense for the Nerazzurri would be Genoa's Koni De Winter.
The former Juventus defender has enjoyed an excellent season with Genoa. Therefore, he has convinced Inter that he has the right qualities for their back three.
The Grifone would demand a fee of €25-30 million to sell De Winter this summer.
Meanwhile, the Gazzetta report, Inter have also identified Feyenoord defender David Hancko as a target.
The Dutch giants would demand a fee of around €25-30 million for the 28-year-old, similar to what Genoa want for De Winter.

Report – Inter Milan ‘Crazy' About Chelsea & Brazil Star
Inter Milan are reportedly 'crazy' about young Chelsea and Brazil central midfielder Andrey Santos. This according to Italian broadcaster SportItalia, via FCInterNews. They report, however, that the Nerazzurri would only sign the 21-year-old in the event that they make a major sale in midfield. Inter Milan held a number of meetings with agents and intermediaries yesterday. It was a busy day with the transfer window now right at its peak. And according to Italian broadcaster SportItalia, one of the agents at the Nerazzurri's headquarters was Giuliano Bertolucci. According to SportItalia, one of the players who Bertolucci represents that Inter made an inquiry about is Chelsea midfielder Andrey Santos. The Brazilian spent last season on loan with Strasbourg in Ligue 1. And Inter are keeping tabs on Santos. Particularly considering his age, the 21-year-old is a player the Nerazzurri see as a prospect for the future. (Photo by) According to SportItalia, Inter Milan Sporting Director Piero Ausilio is 'crazy' about Andrey Santos. Therefore, the Nerazzurri have seriously sounded out a move for the Chelsea midfielder in yesterday's meeting. However, the broadcaster reports, Bertolucci made clear to Inter that the Blues are not keen to sell Santos. Therefore, he would cost a significant fee. As such, SportItalia report, Inter would only consider Santos as a target in the event that they made a big sale in midfield. Had a player like Hakan Calhanoglu left this summer. The Brazilian may have been among the targets to replace him, though.

First image of Christian Gonzalez facing Stefon Diggs at Patriots camp
The New England Patriots showed off the first image of All-Pro cornerback Christian Gonzalez lining up against four-time Pro Bowl wide receiver Stefon Diggs in a social media post on Thursday. Gonzalez admitted earlier in the week that he was excited to match up against Diggs in practice. Iron sharpens iron, as the saying goes. Gonzalez is on the rise as one of the best cornerbacks in the NFL, and Diggs is looking to climb back into the elite tier of wide receivers, following an ACL injury last October. Before the injury, Diggs was coming off six straight 1,000-yard receiving seasons. There's hope that he can get back to that same level in New England. One way for Diggs to test himself is frequent head-to-head matchups against one of the top corners in the game. Gonzalez recently made ESPN's top-10 cornerbacks list, which polled votes from executives, coaches and NFL scouts around the league. The former Oregon standout landed at No. 6 in the rankings with one NFL assistant comparing him to the No. 1 player on the list, Denver Broncos cornerback Patrick Surtain II. "I think Gonzo is the next great one," a veteran NFL assistant said, via ESPN's Jeremy Fowler. "Skills, patience, length. He's the closest thing to Pat [Surtain II]. Smooth, big athlete, travels a lot, can matchup against the best guy." Follow Patriots Wire on Twitter and Facebook. On this day: Celtic sign Larsson
On 25 July 1997 Celtic signed striker Henrik Larsson from Dutch side Feyenoord with little knowledge of just how monumental an impact the Swede would have. Larsson followed manager Wim Jansen to Glasgow as Celtic were preparing try to stop Rangers from winning a 10th successive title. And the Sweden striker helped his side do just that. Despite not getting off to the best start - including scoring an own goal in his first European outing - Larsson went on to score 19 goals in his debut season in Glasgow and inspire Celtic to their first league title in a decade. Larsson would go on to make over 300 appearances in the hoops, scoring 242 goals - including 15 against Rangers. He was a driving force in Celtic's run to the Uefa Cup final in 2003, two years after helping them to a domestic treble, and won four league titles, two League Cups and two Scottish Cups before joining Barcelona. When that departure finally came in 2004, it was clear Larsson had cemented himself as a Celtic legend.
