Kemar Roofe spent four seasons with Rangers after joining from Belgian side Anderlecht.
The Jamaica international hit 38 goals in 108 games in his time in Glasgow.
He was part of Steven Gerrard's title-winning squad in the 2020/21 season, scoring 18 times in all competitions in his debut year.
Roofe was left unemployed after being released by Gers last summer, having only scored twice in 24 appearances last season.
The 32-year-old then faced a wait of eight months to find his next club, when Derby County snapped him up on a free transfer in February.
But things haven't worked out for the striker in the Championship, and he hasn't been offered new terms upon the expiry of his current deal.
Roofe has played just three times for the English outfit and has failed to score a goal.
Despite playing internationally for Jamaica, Roofe was born and raised in England, and featured for Northampton, Colchester, Oxford United and Leeds earlier in his career.
He was then signed by Vincent Kompany in his first managerial role in charge of Anderlecht.
He only spent one season in Belgium before transferring to Rangers.

After successful scoring seasons in his first two years at Ibrox, injuries derailed his progress and he only scored four times between 2022-2024.
He eventually joined Derby after the Rams had shown interest in him during his spells of good form in Glasgow, but Roofe now faces a hunt for a third club in the last year.

Viktoria Plzen vs Rangers injury news: 9 out as Russell Martin mulls over two major decisions in Europe

Rangers will look to take another huge step towards qualification for the Champions League as they face Viktoria Plzen in the second leg of the third qualifying round at the Doosan Arena on Tuesday (kick-off: 6pm). Russell Martin's side enter the game on the back of another difficult result in the Scottish Premiership, where they had James Tavernier's injury-time penalty to thank for rescuing a 1-1 draw against Dundee at Ibrox on Saturday evening. However, after inflicting a 3-0 defeat over their opponents in last week's first leg in Glasgow, the Gers head to Plzen well in control of the tie. In truth, the hosts have it all to do, and enter the game on the back of a difficult weekend result against 1. FC Slovácko in the Czech First League, where they were forced to settle for a 1-1 after conceding a 93rd-minute penalty. Despite their commanding lead, there's certain to be intrigue as to how Martin sets his side up. His shock starting XI saw both Tavernier and Nicolas Raskin dropped to the bench, though the latter may be handed a reprieve after rescuing a point for Rangers at the weekend. Celtic hero Kieran Tierney is already proving that he is the best player in the Scottish Premiership after forming an 'unstoppable' relationship with Daizen Maeda, according to ex-Scotland international Pat Nevin. The 27-year-old has made an instant impact on his return to Celtic Park this season, playing his part in the team keeping two clean sheets, while picking up an excellent assist from the team's opening goal in the 2-0 win over Aberdeen at the weekend, leaving Nevin to label the Hoops defender as the league's most talented player. Advertisement Hide Ad Advertisement Hide Ad Kieran Tierney can win the player of the year award this summer, according to former Scotland international Pat Nevin. | SNS Group 'He was dynamite,' said Nevin. 'Down the left-hand side. He was a left winger, a left-back, or a left midfielder. He had a brilliant understanding with last year's best player, Maeda. If they play on the left-hand side together, in terms of Scottish football, they will be unstoppable if he stays fit. No one will stop them. 'They will put in cross after cross after cross, they will get into brilliant positions with great game awareness and intelligence. They've already set up a brilliant partnership on that left-hand side, and I know what it's like if you're a wide player, the most important player on the pitch for the guy behind you. You have to have an understanding of it, and you hope he's good. I played with some good ones over here. When you have that, you can destroy teams. You absolutely destroy teams. They will do that. Tierney has started both of Celtic's opening two league games following his summer return from Arsenal, but was taken off after 67 minutes in Sunday's win over Aberdeen at Pittodrie with sickness. Head coach Brendan Rodgers revealed that he 'might be a wee bug of some sort' but is recovering well, and Nevin believes Tierney is a certainty to win the league's player of the season award if he remains injury-free. 'If Kieran stays fit, it's not a matter of if he could be the player of the year, it's that he will be', Nevin told football betting site BetVictor. Meanwhile, ex-Rangers boss Steven Gerrard has been heralded as the perfect choice to be Wrexham's next manager - if the Gers don't come calling first. According to former Red Dragon's forward Matt Jansen, the former Ibrox boss would be a perfect fit for the Welsh club, but believes Rangers may consider reappointing him following their disastrous start to life under Russell Martin. Advertisement Hide Ad Advertisement Hide Ad 'They [Rangers] drew and didn't play well,' Jansen told 'He [Martin] really tore into the team. That kind of thing can go one of two ways: either it sparks improvement, or it backfires badly. If results don't go their way, players will say he's lost the dressing room. It happens fast when the manager becomes the scapegoat. So it has to work, or his time there could be very short.

Wrexham CEO's Ryan Reynolds comment speaks volumes as '£15m transfer offer' discussed

Wrexham CEO Michael Williamson has opened up on the club's approach to player sales, admitting he will soon have to discuss offers with co-owners Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney Wrexham CEO Michael Williamson has confessed that discussions about selling the club's young talent may soon be on the cards with the owners. The Red Dragons have soared to new heights, achieving three back-to-back promotions since being taken over by Hollywood stars Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney in February 2021. ‌ The club's younger players have been instrumental in their meteoric rise from the National League to the Championship. Key players like centre-back Max Cleworth, 23, and wing-back Ryan Barnett, 25, were part of the squad for Phil Parkinson 's side's final non-league match, a 1-1 draw with Torquay United in April 2023. ‌ Both players also featured in the starting line-up for Wrexham 's first game in the second tier in 43 years, a narrow last-gasp 2-1 defeat at Southampton on Saturday. Cleworth, especially, is being tipped for a future in the Premier League. ‌ READ MORE: What we know about Wrexham target and Liverpool record-breaker who turned on his own fans Speaking to ex-Wrexham goalkeeper Ben Foster, Williamson revealed that Reynolds and McElhenney would be hesitant to let go of their star defender. However, during his appearance on the Fozcast podcast, he admitted that they would likely respect the player's wishes if such a situation arose. The confession came after Foster's co-host, Tom Ochoa, questioned him on how the club would react if a Premier League team tabled a £15million offer for Cleworth. Williamson said: "We're giving opportunities to players like Max, who's going to arrive in the Premier League, either with us or somebody else will be knocking at the door at some point. I'm hoping it's with us because players like that are so critical. "It's hard because I know what our answer would be [to selling him]. I know what Rob and Ryan would say without even having to ask them. The answer is, 'No, he's not available and he's not for sale.'". "But the issue is, what does Max want? Rob And Ryan care about the players as individuals, so in situations like that, it would probably come down to what the player wants." ‌ Wrexham have thus far refused to cash in on their prized talents, with the majority of departing players being let go by the club rather than sold. However, Williamson admitted that stance may soon have to shift. The Welsh outfit's record transfer fee received remains the £1million Birmingham City splashed out for Bryan Hughes in 1997, though many anticipate Cleworth could eclipse that figure if he moves on. ‌ "The reality of that conversation needing to happen is probably closer than it's ever been before," said Williamson. "Whether it's Max, Barney [Ryan Barnett], Brunty [Lewis Brunt] or Harry Ashfield, we've retained those younger players through this journey which is fantastic, because that hasn't been the case in the past. "But that conversation is going to happen, because at some point somebody is going to come knocking on the door, because those are some incredible players that are still at the start of their careers."
