Former Man Utd star launches bizarre rant accusing women - 'Focus on cleaning'
Former Manchester United striker Javier Hernandez has come under fire after launching a bizarre rant against women who are 'eradicating masculinity'. Hernandez, 37, claims that women are making society 'hypersensitive' and told them to focus on 'multiplying, cleaning and maintaining the home'.
Chicharito, as he was affectionately dubbed throughout his career, spent five years at United after joining from Guadalajara, lifting two Premier League titles and scoring 59 goals. The Mexican went on to play for Bayer Leverkusen, Real Madrid and West Ham among others.
Hernandez is now back at Guadalajara but has made headlines off the pitch after posting a video on Instagram. The ex-United star split with his wife, Sarah Kohan, in 2021 and he's previously opened up on his struggles, admitting that he 'wasn't the greatest' dad or partner.
"Women, you are failing," Hernandez said, looking into the camera. "You are eradicating masculinity by making society hypersensitive.
"Embrace your feminine energy: nurturing, caring, receiving, multiplying, cleaning, maintaining the home, which is the most precious place for us men. Do not be afraid to be women, to allow yourselves to be led by a man who only wants to see you happy, because we do not know heaven without you.
"Holding yourselves responsible for your energy is also a way of loving you. Men, we are failing in the lack of commitment, putting our partners last, not keeping our word, and not prioritising habits to become admirable.
"I understand that we are afraid to speak and truly express what we feel because they are trying to eradicate masculinity, since in certain cases of the past, feminine energy was suppressed, but many of us are here wanting to love you, take care of you, respect you, and provide for you. But you women must learn to honour masculinity."
His post was accompanied by the caption: "True love does not compete. It complements itself. Be honored." A day earlier, Hernandez had posted more eyebrow-raising comments.
"So, you want a man who provides, but for you, cleaning is patriarchal oppression? Interesting," the 37-year-old said. The caption read: "Interesting. (Home is not patriarchy, it's your temple)."
Hernandez's followers were left baffled, with many criticising the veteran striker. "Come on, Javier, it's sad to see you like this, please stop." one posted.
Another said: "This video really makes you [look] crazy. Just to think that honouring the woman is reducing her to taking care of the house."
"You're losing me," a third follower replied.

An ex-Premier League chairman has urged Benjamin Sesko to sign for Newcastle United over Ruben Amorim's Manchester United, despite having reservations over Magpies boss Eddie Howe in the past Simon Jordan has told Benjamin Sesko to head to St James' Park over Old Trafford, stating the RB Leipzig striker will have "less scrutiny" playing under Eddie Howe than Ruben Amorim. The former Crystal Palace chairman admits he had "reservations in the past" over the Newcastle manager, but he now believes the Carabao Cup winners are the right team for Sesko to thrive in. Newcastle and Manchester United are locked in a transfer battle to sign the 22-year-old. The two sides have submitted big bids to bring Sesko to their respective clubs. The Magpies struck first with a rejected offer before coming back with an improved proposal worth £70million plus add-ons. However, the Red Devils have lodged a bid of their own worth £65.1m plus a further £8.7m in add-ons, and a final decision from the Slovenian international looks to be imminent. Jordan appeared on talkSPORT to discuss the choice Sesko faces, admitting that if money weren't an issue, then Newcastle should be his prime destination. "If I were in his shoes, if the economics of the deal were that I wasn't being compromised financially by going to Newcastle over Manchester United, I think it's a great move," Jordan said, before he went on to discuss the former Bournemouth boss. "I think Eddie Howe is a brilliant manager – I had my reservations about him in the past – I've had conversations already. I like him very much, and I think he's done a brilliant job. "So I would be looking at Newcastle rather than Man United." Jordan went on to note that everything Sesko does would be looked at under a microscope when playing under Amorim at United, whereas he would have more freedom to grow while developing under Howe. Jordan added: "I think because Newcastle comes with expectation, but doesn't come with the same pressure that Man United comes from. "Whilst people focus on Newcastle, they focus on it because Newcastle makes a lot of noise, because it's a very passionate football club and the fans are very motivated by it. It doesn't have the day-to-day scrutiny that Man United has. "It doesn't matter what happens, you can fart in the corridor of Man United – that's heard around the world. It's not the same at Newcastle." United are reportedly confident that Sesko will be heading to the north west of England to add to their attacking line, having secured the signatures of Brentford's Bryan Mbeumo and ex-Wolves man Matheus Cunha already this summer. Sesko, though, is considered a ready replacement at Newcastle for Alexander Isak, whose form has understandably caught the attention of Premier League champions Liverpool. The Reds have already submitted a £110m bid for the Swede – which has been rejected – but Howe looks destined to sell the wantaway star should the Magpies first land Sesko. The Red Devils are in yet another period of transition. In November 2024, they appointed former Sporting CP boss Amorim to help the club compete back in the European places of the Premier League, but another disappointing campaign last season saw them ultimately finish in 15th and without a trophy. Meanwhile, Newcastle are on the up after securing their first piece of silverware in 70 years in the Carabao Cup final against Liverpool. They finished fifth last year in the Premier League and are set to compete in the Champions League once again this season. Meanwhile, United will be without European football this campaign after losing the Europa League final 1-0 to Tottenham Hotspur. All of these things may well factor into Sesko's decision to pick black and white or Manchester red, with both sets of fans eagerly awaiting to see his choice made soon. In one photo, the English rocker, whose real name is Dominic Harrison, sported a Chrome Hearts camouflage trucker cap emblazoned with the words 'Chrome Hearts f**k Hollywood', as he appeared to relax on a boat out at sea. In another snap posted to his Instagram Story, the singer posed shirtless in just a pair of black swimming shorts, drink in hand, as he let his hair down on the beach. The birthday snaps come after Yungblud shared a picture of the gift Ozzy Osbourne gave him before he died, hours after he gave a reading at the funeral at his home in Buckinghamshire. The singer had a very strong relationship with Ozzy, whom he first met in 2022, and it appeared that their relationship grew into an almost father-son type bond. Yungblud reportedly gave a touching reading at The Black Sabbath frontman's funeral last week, after his death aged 76 on July 22. Following the emotional day, the 28-year-old took to Instagram to share a close-up snap of the cross necklace Ozzy gifted him in 2022, during the filming of his The Funeral music video. Yungblud later returned the favour by gifting Ozzy a custom-made cross necklace before Black Sabbath's final show at Villa Park in Birmingham. He wrote in the caption: 'goodnight oz. your light will forever shine. I love you,' with fans noting in the caption that Ozzy has 'passed the torch of darkness on' to Yungblud.
