Jenna Bush Hager Reveals New Bob Haircut Inspired by Leslie Bibb — See Her Dramatic Hair Transformation!
Jenna Bush Hager debuted a brand-new hairstyle live on TV — and the new look is modeled after Leslie Bibb's short blonde bob in The White Lotus On the Tuesday, June 17, episode of Today With Jenna & Friends, Bush Hager joked with Bibb that she felt like she was copying her look Bush Hager said that her three kids weren't a fan of the new haircut, but her husband said that she looked "hot"Jenna Bush Hager is debuting her brand-new look — live on TV! On the Tuesday, June 17, episode of Today with Jenna & Friends, Bush Hager, 43, dramatically revealed her new bob hairstyle, inspired by actress Leslie Bibb's short, blonde look in The White Lotus. "This is my hair," Bush Hager announced as she walked on stage with Bibb, who served as a guest co-host for the episode. When they sat at the desk, Bush Hager reflected on the change to her appearance: "I feel a little... You know that '90s movie Single White Female, where you try to copy somebody to such an extent? You made this haircut so famous, and then I used your hairstylist, who is a star, to get the exact same haircut, and I'm feeling a little strange." Bibb was quick to reply, saying, "You don't look strange. You look sexy and powerful and glamorous. And I kept saying it yesterday — you're a badass." Her co-host was a fan of the look. However, the mom of three revealed that her kids weren't as thrilled. She aired a video of herself debuting her new look to her kids, who said that they were not fans. One of her daughters even ran off pretending to cry, which Bush Hager said was "our love language." "The best thing is my husband [Henry Hager] did like it. He was like, 'D--- that's hot.' Which was sweet," Bush Hager said, adding that he defended her when one of her girls said that she didn't like the new cut. Bibb proclaimed that Hager said the "best thing" in response to her daughter: "He was like, 'She don't know fashion.' " "I felt lighter. There's a lot of change happening, and I feel a little embarrassed by the attention. Which I know, the people who work with me are like, 'Mother loves attention,' But I felt a little embarrassed," she said, prompting Bibb to reply that she was displaying vulnerability, which was powerful. On the June 16 episode of the morning talk show, Bibb herself and celebrity hairstylist Chris McMillan stopped by to discuss Bush Hager's hair — and McMillan stepped up to cut her hair live on TV, although they saved the reveal for June 17. "When I was here back in March, Jenna vowed to get on board with the bob, and today is the day," Bibb told the audience. In the episode, Bush Hager spoke about McMillan's background in celebrity hair — and the group discussed how Bibb's White Lotus haircut was so influential that it inspired viewers of the show to chop their own hair. "I didn't expect it [to go viral] because it was just a grow out of a short haircut," McMillan told Bush Hager on Monday. "The intention wasn't to give her a bob, it was to grow her out into a bob." While Bush Hager has mainly rocked her well-known long, dirty blonde hairstyle for much of her adult life, she's switched up her look a few times. In May, the mom-of-three also hilariously recounted her experience losing a clip-in extension while at Beyoncé's Cowboy Carter tour because she was dancing so hard. During the episode, her co-host Justin Sylvester produced one of Bush Hager's temporary extensions and said, "It's one of your clip-in extensions. Security gave it to me last night when we were walking out. Because the baby girl was dancing so hard, she lost a clip-in at 'Single Ladies.' So, yeah, let's talk about being hungover." In 2020, she pulled a somewhat similar live TV stunt soon after lockdown began. At the time, she shared that she had been spending a few weeks social distancing at home and was unable to go to the hair salon to get her roots done, so she decided to take matters into her own hands by inviting celebrity hairstylist Chris Appleton on for a Zoom lesson on how to do a temporary powder root cover-up. 'Some people would wonder why you would do this, but I guess if you have an important Zoom meeting or maybe a family birthday or something or maybe just to make your husband feel uncomfortable on television,' Bush Hager joked, referencing her how her husband Harry Hager was assisting her with the process.
