Acclaimed actor Eyad Nassar discussed his upcoming series, 'Zolm El Mastaba', set to premiere during the Ramadan season. He explained that the show tackles a controversial topic, with its title inspired by the popular proverb: 'The injustice of the terrace is better than the justice of the court.' The proverb reflects how society often judges individuals merely for approaching a mistake, treating them as if they have already committed it—an issue that disproportionately affects women.
Nassar emphasized that even when a woman does not actually make a mistake but merely comes close to one, society condemns her. This, he argues, is a form of injustice. While the law may not hold her accountable, societal norms do—and that is the real issue that needs to be addressed.
He also expressed his dedication to meaningful projects, even if they demand significant effort. His passion lies in works that provoke thought, spark discussions, and deliver important messages—something he and his team strive to bring to the Ramadan audience.
Nassar highlighted the diversity of content available during Ramadan, noting that some series address serious issues, while others convey messages in a lighthearted, comedic way.
Regarding his collaboration with actress Riham Abdel Ghafour, Nassar shared that they have had great on-screen chemistry since working together on Face and Back. Both had been eager to reunite for another project and despite their packed schedules, they finally found the right opportunity with 'Zolm El Mastaba'.
He also praised director Hany Khalifa, calling him uniquely talented. Due to the demanding nature of Ramadan productions, he worked with multiple directors, including Mohamed Ali and Amr Moussa. Nassar expressed his appreciation for their unique styles and hopes the series will resonate with audiences.
