Eyad Nassar Continues Filming Zolm El Mastaba

Famed actor Eyad Nassar continues filming "Zolm El Mastaba" series with directors Mohammad Ali and Amr Mussa. The series was released on Ramadan 16th on UMS channels; DMC, Al Hayat, Rotana Khalejia, ART Hekayat, Al Dafrah, and Al Araby TV. Critics and audiences are eagerly awaiting the series. Although the title may seem strange at first, it includes profound implications reflecting the work themes. The series takes place in Itay El Baroud, Beheira Governorate. Its story highlights social customs and traditions that govern rural society. Basically, the series presents a different perspective of life in the Egyptian countryside. Nassar mentioned that the theme of the series is complex and different from what he has presented before. All characters face injustice in society. They are punished by customs; not by law. Hence, the name of the series is inspired by the popular proverb "the injustice of the terrace is better than the justice of the court". Nassar also stated that "El Mastaba" is regarded as a place to sit in villages. However, it is a witness to stories and conflicts in rural communities. In their first collaboration, writer Ahmed Fawzi Saleh presents a dramatic story that blends romantic tales and social suspense. Additionally, Nassar said that he presents the character of Hassan Abdul Wadoud who was imprisoned for seven years and is ready to confront those who wronged him. He mentioned that he likes such artistic works that raise vital questions and issues related to society. Despite the difficulty of presenting complex characters, he is against absolute judgements and doesn't like 'El Mastaba' and gossip that lead to judging people. Moreover, Nassar stated that the series tackles the idea of approaching a mistake; not committing it. Society holds you accountable as if you had made a mistake. Women suffer the most from this social injustice. Hence, this requires taking actions and these customs need to be checked. Furthermore, Nassar said that the series team exerted indescribable efforts to release the series in the best possible way. Despite the work pressure in Ramadan, they pay attention to every single detail. He hopes that the work will win the hearts of audiences. "Zolm El Mastaba" stars Eyad Nassar, Reham Abdel Ghafour, Fathy Abdel Wahab, Basma, Ahmed Azmy, Mohamed Ali Rezk, along with guest stars Diab and Ahmed Fahim. It is a 15-episode series, written by Ahmed Fawzi Saleh. The screenplay and dialogue are by Mohammad Ragaii and Eslam Hafez. It is directed by Mohammad Ali and Amr Mussa and produced by United Studios.

Eyad Nassar Reveals the Meaning Behind Zolm El Mastaba

Eyad Nassar. Acclaimed actor Eyad Nassar discussed his upcoming series, 'Zolm El Mastaba', set to premiere during the Ramadan season. He explained that the show tackles a controversial topic, with its title inspired by the popular proverb: 'The injustice of the terrace is better than the justice of the court.' The proverb reflects how society often judges individuals merely for approaching a mistake, treating them as if they have already committed it—an issue that disproportionately affects women. Nassar emphasized that even when a woman does not actually make a mistake but merely comes close to one, society condemns her. This, he argues, is a form of injustice. While the law may not hold her accountable, societal norms do—and that is the real issue that needs to be addressed. He also expressed his dedication to meaningful projects, even if they demand significant effort. His passion lies in works that provoke thought, spark discussions, and deliver important messages—something he and his team strive to bring to the Ramadan audience. Nassar highlighted the diversity of content available during Ramadan, noting that some series address serious issues, while others convey messages in a lighthearted, comedic way. Regarding his collaboration with actress Riham Abdel Ghafour, Nassar shared that they have had great on-screen chemistry since working together on Face and Back. Both had been eager to reunite for another project and despite their packed schedules, they finally found the right opportunity with 'Zolm El Mastaba'. He also praised director Hany Khalifa, calling him uniquely talented. Due to the demanding nature of Ramadan productions, he worked with multiple directors, including Mohamed Ali and Amr Moussa. Nassar expressed his appreciation for their unique styles and hopes the series will resonate with audiences.
