A woman, who was relying on Google Maps for navigation, accidentally drove her Audi into a ditch in Navi Mumbai's Belapur area and was rescued by authorities.The incident occurred around 1 am on Friday. According to police, the woman was alone in the Audi and was headed towards Ulwe when the incident occurred.Instead of taking a bridge, her car took a wrong turn guided by Google Maps and fell into a ditch.advertisement
Police were alerted to the incident and, with the help of the marine security team and a boat, successfully rescued the woman.'At about 1 am on Friday, we received information about an Audi car that had fallen into the Belapur ditch. Our team, along with marine security guards and local police, responded immediately,' Narayan Palampalle, Assistant Police Inspector, Belapur, told news agency ANI.'Using a boat from the marine security team, we safely rescued the woman. She was alone in the car when the incident occurred,' he said.- Ends

In the video, he shows how EV owners can customise Google Maps and get access to learn about the EV charging points on their route of travel. If you are an EV owner and wish to customise the app, follow these simple steps: Open Google Maps> click on profile icon>click on settings>click on your vehicles. After clicking on the 'Your Vehicle' option, users will get options like- Petrol, Diesel, Hybrid, and Electric. The EV users need to select the ' Electric' option. After clicking on the ' Electric' options, users will get a ' Plug and Adapters' option that shows options like J1772, CCS (Combo 1), Type 2, and more. Select your ideal charger that the vehicle accepts and git the back button on the upper left corner. After following the steps, you can now search any route you wish to go, and the Google Map will also show the different charging stations on the route.

Vietnamese electric vehicle (EV) manufacturer VinFast has opened its second showroom in India, located in Chennai's Teynampet area. This follows the inauguration of its first outlet in Surat a week earlier. As per ANI , the Chennai facility, promoted by Maansarovar Motors , spans 4,700 sq. ft and is the largest among the 35 showrooms the company plans to open across Indian cities this year. The showroom will display VinFast's electric SUVs, the VF 6 and VF 7 . India is the first market where VinFast is launching the right-hand drive version of these vehicles. Customers can pre-book the vehicles through showrooms or online at with a fully refundable booking amount of ₹21,000. Local assembly will take place at VinFast's upcoming manufacturing facility in Thoothukudi, Tamil Nadu. Pham Sanh Chau, CEO of VinFast Asia, said, "Chennai's legacy and its ecosystem of innovation, skilled talent, and infrastructure make it a natural choice for VinFast's first-ever dealership in Tamil Nadu, which is also our largest touchpoint across the country. With this dealership, we are proud to deepen our commitment to this city and bring our electric mobility solutions closer to customers in Tamil Nadu." Audi AG CEO and Chairman of the Board of Sauber Motorsport AG, Gernot Dollner, said, 'Audi is entering Formula 1 with a clear ambition: to use the platform as a technologically relevant and economically sustainable investment in the future of the Audi brand."
