Love Island's Meg and Dejon vow to 'prove everyone wrong' after Maya Jama grilling

Love Island's Meg and Dejon vow to 'prove everyone wrong' after Maya Jama grilling

Daily Mirror2 days ago
Dumped Love Island stars Meg and Dejon have spoken out about their time in the villa after they were brutally dumped by ex-Islanders just days before the final
Meg and Dejon were the only Love Island couple to stay together since day one, however they failed to make it to the end after being brutally dumped by their fellow Islanders last night.

On Friday night, Megan and Conor were dumped from the villa after receiving the least amount of votes for the most compatible couple. However, it didn't stop there.

Last night, it was revealed that Meg and Dejon and Ty and Angel were also vulnerable after the public vote. However, their fate was decided by the ex-Islanders who made a dramatic arrival back to the villa. It was a close call - but in the end it was Meg and Dejon who received the most votes.

It came after the couple had a huge argument during their final date, with Casa Amor bombshell Andrada pointing out that Dejon was "aware of the cameras" before making the decision to dump them. Despite looking downcast - Meg and Dejon have now revealed they "weren't surprised" that they were dumped days before the final.
Speaking on the argument, Dejon said: "I wasn't shocked to leave because of the timing of mine and Meg's argument that we had. I knew people might not like that, so I wasn't shocked to leave, but I know what we have is real and in real relationships you have disagreements. I'm still grateful for our experience and I wouldn't have changed it."

Echoing his statement, Meg added: "We weren't shocked, especially being so close to the end and how things had ended after our date. As soon as we saw the former Islanders come back, we knew we would be going. All the couples are very compatible so it was a case of all being in it together and knowing we would all see each other again in a day's time."
Maya Jama herself wasn't letting Dejon getting off lightly, telling him he was "obviously very aware of the cameras" as they were dumped from the Island.

During Aftersun, the host asked if he understood why some people may have thought he had a game plan, to which he added: "Yeah, definitely. "Coming in, I just thought, I'm on Love Island. I'm gonna explore connections, I'm gonna be flirty, I'm gonna see what my strongest connection was," as he continued: "It was always Meg."
Despite this - Meg and Dejon say they're desperate to prove everyone wrong, and are even thinking about moving in together. Asked what was next, Meg said: "Proving to everyone we are actually going to stay together! Spending time together and introducing one another to family and friends."
"I definitely want to have a conversation with her family, get to know them and have her meet my family so they can see the real us.

"A lot of the Islanders saw how genuine we were and I have no doubt it will be like that with our families. After that hopefully we can move in together as I can't imagine not living with her," Dejon said.

Watch the moment Love Island's Harrison tells Lauren he loves her – before making awkward u-turn

LOVE Island's Harrison tells Lauren he loves her before he makes an awkward u-turn. The interaction had fans cringing and left questioning where the pair's relationship really stands. 6 6 6 The Love Island cast returned to Mallorca this week to celebrate the show's thrilling finale, with the boys and girls staying in separate villas. Footballer Harrison went live on TikTok to chat with his fellow Islanders — including new beau, Lauren. Just as the livestream was wrapping up Harrison told Lauren 'Love you bye' with Lauren replying the same. Not long after Harrison was joined by fellow Islander Ben, when he was asked by a fan if he was still with Lauren. The reality star replied: 'I am very much with Lauren.' 'Man's a lover,' Ben then chimed. Before Harrison swiftly replied: 'Now Love's a bit strong but I am with her for sure.' The u-turn had fans flooding the comments of clips of the stream reuploaded to social media, one user said: 'He just continues to embarrass her omfs.' ''Loves a bit strong but I am with her' is he serious right now ?' added another. 'He does not like her,' chimed a third. Watch as Love Island winner Toni takes final swipe at villa ex Harrison before winning £50k 'The fact that he had to say 'love is a bit strong' really irks me.. he could have just moved over that but he continues being disrespectful to Lauren,' commented a fourth. Earlier in the series, viewers watched Lauren be dumped from the villa in a brutal twist. She begged Harrison to leave alongside her - but he wasn't sure and decided to sleep on it. However, just a day later, he decided to voluntarily walk away from the villa. After leaving the villa, Harrison said his family would play a big part in whether he and Lauren would progress. Speaking on the Love Island: Morning After podcast, Harrison said: "I feel like we want to get to know each other a little bit more away from the villa. "Obviously the villa's a very secluded environment it's different on the outside so it's nice to get to know each other, go on a few dates without cameras and microphones." Looking cosy beside Lauren, he continued: "For me it was a big thing about her meeting my family before I made anything official. But I left the villa for Lauren and I do think a lot of her. I feel like we'll be boyfriend and girlfriend soon, no doubt." An extra spanner in the works is the fact Harrison is based in Miami, and he isn't sure if he wants to return to the UK permanently just yet. 6 6 6
